I'm weeping with pride.

This is a real victory for our thread. Better than Serial turning down a line at that house party Wink Well done Pickle I thought you'd cracked under the pressure but no, you were busy eating your prize!

Inarightpickleandchutney · 27/03/2017 22:23

This is a moral victory for surfers everywhere!!

That woman's face was like a popped balloon when I was announced as winner, even worse when I was presented with the massive fuck off prize!!!!

Thank you so much for the support, hoochi you found the idea, shall I send you some chocs?

Happy to share them round to all my lovely supportive surfers.
Love you lot x

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 27/03/2017 22:29

Enjoy your prize (and your moral victory) Pickle you've had a difficult time at work and I wouldn't be surprised if the stress of it contributed to you being ill. Flowers

Looks like everyone else has gone to Columbia bed so we'll have to polish off this champagne on our own. Hee he.

Inarightpickleandchutney · 27/03/2017 22:32

thanks!! Since we're here, can you sort my nails?! I can't wait for Easter holidays so I can get them done nicely in a salon.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 27/03/2017 22:39

Ooh lovely salon nails and hopefully some time off work to admire them.
Enjoy your winner's buzz, Pickle You fucking deserve it! x

HoochiMama · 27/03/2017 22:41

Woohoo!! Well done Pickle! Surfers rule the worldSmile Did you take a picture? It was meant to be, it was literally one of the first pictures that came up when I googled. Enjoy your prize, you deserve it. Would have loved to have seen her face!

Nearly feeling normal here, I'm on to the ravenous hunger stage, where I make up for missing 2 meals by eating like a nutter for a week. Why does that happen? Anyway I'm sure everyone is off to bed. Night all xx

Inarightpickleandchutney · 27/03/2017 22:42

Yeah I'm not allowed to wear nail polish at all at work, and I'm crap at it, so school holidays is the only time really.
God I am shattered after all that excitement, it's all a bit much for a Monday...

ZiggertyZaggerty · 28/03/2017 09:26

Woooo! Go Pickle!! Which is the best prize? The decadent egg or seeing your nemesis's face when you won??!!!
I've been out of touch as ds had an allergic reaction on Sunday night (not sure what too) 111 got paramedics out to us but they didn't give him anything and we didn't want to put him through the trauma of hospital just to be observed (he's been in and out of hospital too much already) so have been holed up with Piriton and cuddles for the last couple of days. (That'll teach me for feeling so happy on Sunday. The rest of the day had been perfectSad)

Inarightpickleandchutney · 28/03/2017 09:32

Oh poor mini zig! Hope things are on the mend x

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 28/03/2017 09:43

Hope your son is better soon, Zig What a traumatic end to your weekend! It's always a worry when they're ill. Flowers

It's a beautiful day here so I'm planning to go for a walk at lunchtime. All part of my get slightly fitter, get high on life campaign Grin. I've even brought some trainers to work to change into..
This time next year; marathons? Hmm

Inarightpickleandchutney · 28/03/2017 19:53

Lost I have taken DD swimming and mucked about in a fun pool.
Honestly was ace, and feel much better. Early night for me, I've pyjamarating already and hope for some lovely sleep

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 28/03/2017 20:23

I'm all pyjamarated up too. Glad you're feeling better Pickle.

Inarightpickleandchutney · 28/03/2017 20:43

Oh I can feel a lovely sleep coming up!!

serialtester · 28/03/2017 20:59

Gosh, so much to catch up on!

CONGRATULATIONS PICKLE!!!! What a victory! The power of the surfboard worked!

Am bedinating shortly - glad everyone is having a better week this week. Hope mini zig is ok now.

ZiggertyZaggerty · 28/03/2017 21:20

Lost - When you said marathons you meant Snickers right?!!
Swimming sounds fun Pickle - it's amazing how just getting out and about can get the endorphins going.
Mini Zig is all back to normal - doesn't look like he's been in a boxing ring anymore! It was pretty scary!! Thanks all for your kind thoughts.
Just off to pyjamarate too. Sweet dreams surfersSmile

serialtester · 28/03/2017 21:28

Popping up from under the duvet to say yes to endorphins! Have gone from being an unfit wine guzzzling chain smoking coke head to a wine guzzling chain smoking runner who can run (check this!) seven miles in one go!! Recently I've felt fit and strong and I think that's key in me not wanting to feel like a bag of shit again. Plus running makes me 'feel' something. - if you know what I mean. It's a change from feeling flat (sorry flat!) Basically I'm Forest Gump.

OP posts:
kineticmagnetic · 28/03/2017 22:24

Well done Forrest Gump!

That's my new plan-to get back onto the old marathon training schedule.

Tonight however I'm in deep water, the leftovers have been opened as I have a very random babysitter night.
Wish me luck.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 28/03/2017 22:58

That's what I'm chasing now: the Endorphin high. Got a bit carried away saying I'd be running marathons next year Hmm I only went for a brisk walk in my lunchtime (wearing trainers) It put me in a good mood anyway.. Snickers are probably more likely Zig

Feeling all over the place with emotions at the moment. It's fucking simple with drugs: you're high or you're not. And there's always a mood fixer if you need it. Struggling without it in my life to be honest Sad

Kinetic We're all here with your board, armbands and a noodle. Maybe you can give me some beginner's tips for running? We could cheer each other on. I want to be Forrest Gump too (minus facial hair)
Hope you're ok x

kineticmagnetic · 28/03/2017 23:02

I have the bloody facial hair at the minute (lost my plucky spring thing).
I'm going to start with two 3 mile runs a week for two/three weeks at first. Fancy joining me?
Not ran more than a half marathon for 4 years Blush
I used to run 3-5 marathons a year!

kineticmagnetic · 28/03/2017 23:04

I'm still blubbing over the ex. I just thought we'd always be together.
His new girlfriend keeps popping up on my suggested friends as she keeps getting more mutual ones. I had a bit of a stalk and she spells 'can't' 'carnt'. It made me happier.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 28/03/2017 23:08

Are you Paula Radcliffe? Grin
I think I'll have to start with 1 mile, bear in mind I smoke, I've got spindly legs and I've never run as a sport for fun .

I used to dance for around 10 hours non stop but that was fuelled by E's so may not count.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 28/03/2017 23:11

She sounds like a silly carnt Grin

Sorry you're still hurting K, try not to drive yourself mad thinking what if. Flowers

kineticmagnetic · 28/03/2017 23:29

I have a wobbly head but that's usually from wine, nothing to do with being Paula!
I smoke a bajillion rollies a day, did even when running miles I was never known to stop mid marathon for a fag

I'm trying to not do what ifs, it's just hard as DD misses him so much too.

She is a carnt with bad teeth and a silly fringe.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 29/03/2017 08:33

Good Wednesday surfers. Brew

Kinetic Hope you managed to get some sleep and are operational today.

Have my two nieces today so a busy day ahead. The youngest is potty training so that'll keep me busy and they're bringing balance bikes so that's my exercise for the day sorted (carrying the bleeding bikes home like a weight lifter Grin)

Keep riding the tide x

ZiggertyZaggerty · 29/03/2017 15:06

Hope you are feeling happier today Kinetic? Silly fringe and bad teeth as well as the spelling? She sounds like Waynetta. Not worth your tears. (Although it's easier said than done!)
Can I join in your Forest Gump training regimen please?
I'm only up to running slow jogging 2k (and that's only on a flat treadmill!) but am trying to work my way up to 5. I think I need to use the carrot on a stick method, but with some 'nasal-hair remover' instead of a carrot Wink
We'll be like Paula in no time but not peeing mid run
