ok as the summer seaons approaces, look at your wizened hobbit like hooves.

are they silky smooth with no cracked heels or discoloured toe nails? have you lumps and bumps on your to joints?
ITs time to sort it out you scummy lot.

Yes
Stick-livers unite in cheap ped-polishes!
(there's gotta be some compensation for not having a branch of pret!)

dinkystinky · 26/04/2010 17:02

Ah, now see what you mean su. My feet are horrid. I think I need some of those fish (not piranhas something else) that nibble all your dead skin off to start sorting them out - well that or a chisel...

moondog · 26/04/2010 17:02

Little kids.

I spent my entire Easter thinking 'Thank Christ I can actually read a book and not spend every minute checking they are not drowning/choking/suffocating/cracking heads open.

I will try to maintain sand regimen while home but slogging it down gritty windswept Welsh beach aux pieds nus not quite the same as frolicking in Bay of Bengal in the sunset....

IndigoSky · 26/04/2010 17:02

I keep my feet smooth all year round. Can't be faffed with that whole ugly cracked heel and thick hoofy skin and cheese grater malarkey. Much easier to keep them nice all year round imo.

HandsOffMyDrum · 26/04/2010 17:05

I did my heels with a nail file yesterday

was disgusting

soooo much skin came off

but strangely satisfying

ChippyMinton · 26/04/2010 17:05

I am not going to grate my feet, so what's the best alternative? I'm guessing that jogging on the spot in the children's sandpit is not going to cut it.

moondog · 26/04/2010 17:07

Someone needs to invent a machine like a footspa only with sand.
Put peepers in, flick switch and voila!
Smooth as a baby's bum.

noddyholder · 26/04/2010 17:12

I know moondog am dreading it I feel so mean but am tired after a busy weekend and can't be arsed.PLUS she is leaving her with me from 545 until 630 as she has parents evening at the nursery!I am already worried about the balconyAnyway back to feet!

moondog · 26/04/2010 17:15

God Noddy, how grim.
The kid will wreck your pad, you know that don't you?
Maybe get it to do yuor feet?
I trained mine to massage me from fairly early age.#
Anything is possible.

noddyholder · 26/04/2010 17:18

Ds being totally unhelpful(16) says he has no paper or crayons .Have cbeebies on in prep jesus how did I do this?

DarrellRivers · 26/04/2010 17:19

adds to list of beauty tasks
1') sort out feet
2) add some colour to pale whiter than white skin

my toenails are however Barry M minty green, v nice

moondog · 26/04/2010 17:21

I have been after a sort of cafe creme shade since I saw it a few years ago on a colleague. God it wasl ovely and I never asked what it was.Have never been able to get exact copy.
I've gone off pink.

DarrellRivers · 26/04/2010 17:23

modelling corpse fashion here
was concerned at first, but quite like it now

traceybath · 26/04/2010 17:24

Did diy pedicure and flexitoled whilst dc's napping today. After doing my ironing of course - polishes halo.

bobbiewickham · 26/04/2010 17:24

Mine are lovely

Have been pedegging all winter.

Rouge noir on tootsies.

shave toes every morning

Gorgeous!

SoMuchToBits · 26/04/2010 17:26

Think I will join this thread as I have the horniest hooves known to man. I bought a Ped Egg today - it has certainly removed a lot more stuff than any other files I have tried. Most of them are fairly useless when faced with my hardened trotters. I then slapped a load of Flexitol on. So, Ped Egg users, how often should I grate my feet? I'm assuming I should apply the Flexitol morning and evening.

DarrellRivers · 26/04/2010 17:29

traceybath, i sent back the asos/oasis tshirt maxi dress
I was lost in it, and the neck line was not flattering for my bust line

CiderIUpAndSetIFree · 26/04/2010 17:39

Mine are GRIM.

Since last summer I've had this weird flaking on the outside edges of my feet (not the sole) that just won't go away no matter how much I grate and moisturise. Great slabs of skin peeling off like out of control sunburn. I've come to the conclusion it's either (another) delightful old lady affliction or some sort of hoof disease.

Is this flexitol stuff really good? It's about the only thing I haven't tried.

LilRedWG · 26/04/2010 17:45

I knew this'd be you Su. I need to resurrect the PedEgg - it works for me - and the Flexitol. Strangely, a bloke at DD music group thingy had the same shade of toenail polish as me this morning.

isthatporridgeinyourzone · 26/04/2010 18:04

Started grating and flexitoling feet 3 weeks ago due to holiday in 4 weeks. Feet now lovely and smooth and look better than hands due to an excess of gardening .

scratchmyback · 26/04/2010 18:07

I hate the PedEgg. I bought one and although it does take some hard skin off it leaves it really dry and doesnt feel as though it is filing it deep enough!

I use a foot file on mine and when I remember I slather with Flexitol cream. Really need to go to chiropodist though and have it done again.

Sand weirdly doesnt work for me - it makes me feet more dry than ever and my heels go that horrible white dead skin colour.

madhairday · 26/04/2010 18:17

Oh yes. I must join this.

Have PedEgg, don't really like it but bought it last summer on MN recommendation. Actually found my old Body Shop pumice stone works better.

moondog I read your foot spa post as 'put peppers in...and voila. Spent a few moments wondering about the advantages of using peppers to massage feet.

I am tired. And my feet are minging.

EricPicklesFatNeck · 26/04/2010 18:28

can i add 'epilate toes' to the original list!

i have a cheese grater not ped egg. that and flexitol sort me out.

if you have fungal toe nail please attend to them, i hate the sight of fungal toes.

Tocca · 26/04/2010 18:35

I agree w Olivia chiropodist was rubbish. expensive and didn't do anything significant.

I go to a rough looking acrylic nail place which does a brilliant pedicure.

I do grate mine now and then but the people with the tools do the job better.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 26/04/2010 18:47

I had a lovely lady come to the house on Saturday so mine are lovely now. All smooth and soft with lovely dark red polish.

She had a machine that filed off all the hard skin, then a scrub, a mask, a soak, a massage, cream, oil on cuticles and then polish.
Planning to have her come once a month to keep things under control.
