So, my trip to the shops yesterday.

In Topshop, bought this to wear with skinnies and Ash hi-tops/glads, also saw a couple of cute smocky tops, much more feminine than my usual style, am not sure if I'm trying to over-compensate for loss of long flowing locks by going a bit more girlie with my wardrobe. Didn't buy them, and probably won't, but it's doing to make shoping a bit odd for a while.

Did a recce in Gap for things that I may want to buy with the 30% voucher. Nothing for the DCs, but tried pairs of jeans for me, plus a silky charcoal tunic dress from the sale rail (that I bought). All of them looked AMAZING, but the mirror was an ultra-slimming one-honestly, I lost about a stone just stepping into the cubicle-so don't actually know what they would like like in RL. Will go back in and get the jeans at the weekend, and try them on at home in front of my non-fairground mirror.

Picked up a couple of bits in Kookai: a navy boyfriend cardi with elbow-length sleeves, and a hip-length mauve/grey stripe vest.

Have had email to say the Fendi coat will come tomorrow! Will report as soon as it arrives.

Tracey, is a 35 in Chie Mihara a UK size 2 or 3? If you look on Spartoo they have some for sale which look good (if high for me). I am a size 2 and find shoe shopping depressing.

anyway ladies, delurking to report I have been shopping - bought this for work and this work too and I also ordered these in a 27.

bunnymother · 10/03/2010 21:57

Plum - I have that Rare top from TopShop, too. Its v flattering, isn't it?!

Hana - congrats, the dress is beautiful and will look fantastic on you.

Cakey - NO she is not better , although thank you for asking . Have taken the wrapper off the tumble dryer and so now have a 4 hour turn-around on "soiled" clothes/linen. Lovely. When is this going to end?? Although at least I can admit I am being a touch melodramatic given I have only had to endure 48 hours of gastro w 1 child, while most of you seem to manage a LOT more than that every day!

LetThemEatCake · 10/03/2010 22:06

nice work Plum and florence!! Bunny so sorry to hear that. Nothing more heartbreaking (nor, let's be honest, irritating) than a sick child. Hugs to you both.

LetThemEatCake · 10/03/2010 22:07

again

KristinaM · 10/03/2010 22:22

i think these shoes are lovely LTEC, though i prefer the brown

very sensible heel as well and modestly priced for you

PlumSykes · 10/03/2010 22:24

Lovely, Cake, and very wearable heel for running about town in.

LetThemEatCake · 10/03/2010 22:25

yy the brown

or these?

no price gags please. My fave pair of SS09 shoes were £12. And I bought this year's embellished Antik Batik flats from ebay for £20, not NaP for £120!!

Evening ladies. Hope you are all well. Just returned from meeting an old friend in Taman Gang, Park Lane. Absolutely delicious food - no wonder I can't drop that last stone.

Anyway passed Selfridges where 505 is back in stock. Also seen some fab gladiators in Russell and Bromley which I can't link to as they have no website. They are the ones being used in their advert at the mo.

MM Have you tried Top Shop, Canary Wharf? I think I saw your jacket on Monday

notyummy · 10/03/2010 22:30

hana - you can get good one shoulder bra things these days, I'm sure.

LetThemEatCake · 10/03/2010 22:33

Hana it's not one shoulder, is it?? think just one shoulder a bit thinner than the other?

PlumSykes · 10/03/2010 22:43

Sorry, Cake, think those asos shoes are yuck.

LetThemEatCake · 10/03/2010 22:45

they are, aren't they? I'm in shoe hell. None of them are right. None of them!!

BTW thanks for all the maxi links

Fleecy · 10/03/2010 22:46

I prefer the Asos ones ltec hana mid heels are everywhere this year, so I don't suppose you'd have much trouble finding something comfortable. Or some glam flat glad type sandals. Maybe silver?

I was 32DD when bfing and wore a strapless so 'tis do-able. Not every day though! Or wear a normal supportive bra and pop one strap off your shoulder and tuck it into the side of your dress - I have done this before

Fleecy · 10/03/2010 22:51

Cross-posted there! I like 'em but not keen on the Yoox ones! Think they're a bit mumsy, sorry

KristinaM · 10/03/2010 22:53

sorry don't like asos ones and the heel is to high except for going out. but what do i know......

indeed LTEC you are model of frugal spending on clothes. and shoes. and bags

Thanks Kristina, am glad you've noticed.

hana - the metallic Otellos would - and must - go.

And think Laura Ashley will give you store credit, yes - prob not refund though. Tags still on?

AllBuggiedOut · 10/03/2010 23:03

VerityBurlee I did get the red, yes. Was planning to hold out for the white which I think would be spectacular, but maybe with my 3 small boys not altogether practical... Can't wait for a downpour! Although I may need to replace my now rather dated looking Joules spotty wellies
