butter london varnish

janeite · 27/02/2010 23:09

Thank you. Can't keep up with you lot - but I do like clothes, even if not always the ones that are in fashion!

janeite · 27/02/2010 23:12

Love that nail varnish.

traceybath · 27/02/2010 23:12

Really don't know what to wear tomorrow night - probably jeans as don't have any warm dresses and its freezing here.

Then have a selection of tops - but again all quite summery. So will wear with my new nw3 jacket and very high black suede shoeboots.

Reminds me - need to shove some fake tan on before going to bed as am so pale at the moment.

LetThemEatCake · 27/02/2010 23:17

nah, you'll be warm in the restaurant, wear a dress! and have a lovely evening.

think I need to buy some shoes before bedtime ... off to look at asos .. would be nice to use that code

MillyMollyMoo · 27/02/2010 23:33

It would be rude not to use it LTEC

Can I ask any of you that have been pregnant recently ... are citizens of humanity maternity jeans the bee's knees as I've been lead to believe, am tempted to blow the budget on a couple of decent things this time as I wore DH's clothes last time and ruined them all but saved him a fortune.

LetThemEatCake · 27/02/2010 23:39

not sure about CoH ... I had J Brands (cut higher at the back, which is crucial imo!!!) and trusty old Topshops .. today relegated to the charity shop

can't find any flippin' shoes

and if I see the handshake incident one more time will have a tantrum

LibrasBiscuitsOfFortune · 28/02/2010 07:06

Morning, last night I splashed out on these (I hope you are all sitting down)

ta-da

Seriously, Littlewoods had a £15 off voucher for first-timers so I thought it made sense to stock up on layering items.

I am now wibbling over the fact I should have bought the travel wrap rather than the scarf cardigan.

MillyMollyMoo - Last time I had a fantastic pair of maternity jeans from m&s of all places. Also it depends on whether you prefer over the bump or under the bump coverage. However LTEC is right, high rise is essential over builders bum when pregnant!

MM - what a lovely way to remember your daughter, will think of you today.

blossoming · 28/02/2010 07:18

Monkeysmama, I have lost a daughter too and feel for you today.

bunnymother · 28/02/2010 08:13

Hello!

Imposs for me to keep up so pls forgive patchy posting, inc where I seem to ignore certain posts. Not ignoring - struggling to keep up!

MM - hope today comforts you.

OWW - I live around the corner from The Churchill Arms and would eat there more often only not v baby friendly.

Libra - how exciting - congratulations on your pregnancy!!! Am currently TTC so hope to get lucky soon. Which does make me wonder why the hell I am still shopping! As does DH...

Had lovely social week - went to burlesque for wedding anniversary w DH - place called Volupte in the City. I sooo recommend - such fun! Wore animal print baby doll / empire dress w opaque stockings and Mary Jane heels (v typical look for me). Kylie M also went to burlesque and wore animal print - snap!! Last night went to Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (movie is much better - v disappointing to think that) and wore red dress w black tux blazer, black moc croc belt and heels and fishnets (opaque seemed to "wall of black"). But got stared at a bit much, so think perhaps not fishies next time (yokels in Covent Garden looked at me like I was a hooker!). Well, how "charming" to be so me me me

whose baby had the HV after them? So glad that little DS is happy and well. Some HVs are bonkers and sounds like yours was, too.

Going to read back some more...

carciofi · 28/02/2010 08:31

MM, thinking of you today.

MillyMollyMoo, COH maternity jeans are the business, I wore them loads.

Ollie, we were in Cayenne Court so close by. I loved it there.

Tracey, have a lovely evening.

I am tempted to buy a Missoni scarf on My-Wardrobe with the 30% code(thanks for posting that, LTEC) but only if my bags sell on ebay!

carciofi · 28/02/2010 09:30

Is this blazer a bit office-y for a sahm?

hellsbelles · 28/02/2010 09:35

bunny at you shocking the covent garden yokels!

Milly - I did have some COH maternity jeans but as I was mostly in bed I didn't get to wear them much - however I gave them to SIL and she raves about them.

Butter nail polish is gorgeous - and now out of stock LTEC - you need to get yourself your own blog and affiliate links (for yourself NOT a company). You would make a fortune .

Carciofi - which scarf are you thinking of?

Today I'm either vibrant and colourful or possibly misfiring and a bit 'mad old woman'. Methinks the latter (as does DS)...haven't dared ask DH.

hellsbelles · 28/02/2010 09:36

possibly carciofi - I think there are probably nicer ones out there (but as I'm failing to offer an alternative I know I'm not much help)

LetThemEatCake · 28/02/2010 09:37

Maybe a little... Could look good but needs to be a bit longer to 'relax' it a bit I think..

Are your bags ending today? I sold my dkny cozy for £80 last night. Going rate seems to be about 50 so was happy with that as paid 130 for it.

No more expensive mistakes!!

LetThemEatCake · 28/02/2010 09:39

Bunny did you buy the theory leather? Happy anniversary! 10 years today since dh and I met

MarshaBrady · 28/02/2010 09:44

Morning! Rainy days.. am going to peruse my-wardrobe, wish their stock was as extensive as NaP (especially the shoes).

MM hope you have a lovely day (Blossoming sorry to read your post too).

hellsbelles · 28/02/2010 09:47

Happy Anniversary LTEC - how lovely. How are you celebrating?

I need help with a leather jacket as well. I haven't got one and really think everything would work much better (clothes wise...not life in general ) if I did.

Main criteria is it can't be one of those short ones as I have to cover largish bottom.

Fleecy · 28/02/2010 10:15

Morning all, had a fab night out but didn't get home until 3 so not at my best today. No hangover though so caught a break there

Didn't even wear the black rats in the end. Wore a River Island (please don't kick me off the thread!) leopard print one-shoulder hotpants jumpsuit with black tights and a big black waist belt - which is far less hookerish than it sounds and looks fab on!

ltec congratulations on your ten years together. Here's to many more!

mm thinking of you today as you remember your daughter

really grumpy like all the Ash links but like the lizard ones best

bunjies I have a lantern skirt very like the purple one but in red. It's in quite a heavy material so it hangs beautifully and has just a hint of sheen. I wear it all year round - nude sandals and bare legs in summer, black tights and black sandals in winter. Either way with a vest tucked into the skirt and a wide waist belt - creates a lovely hourglass shape

hells your DH looks a bit like Rufus Sewell? Yum!

GeorginaWorsley · 28/02/2010 10:33

Like the shoes LTEC
I wonder how heavy they feel on?
I struggle with lifting heavy shoes when i walk!
Am at a 50th birthday next week and need to wear a dress, but cannot decide on one.
Not yet spring as such, but don't want anything wintery!

LetThemEatCake · 28/02/2010 11:06

Well, I'm celebrating by shopping at Bicester. In the car now. Foul day. Wedding anniversary this week so will save the 'real' celebration til then.

Hells, you are so sweet and I would love to do my own blog, being as wittery as I am, but I think that the Butter sales are down to it being featured in Grazia rather than being mentioned by a messy-haired, big-bummed SAHM

Fleecy, glad you had a great night, bet you looked fab.

Blossoming, so sorry to read your post. Seems there are a few of us here in the same boat. MM, hope you are having a peaceful day and lots of cuddles with your dd.

Which of the two do you prefer Georgina? I had some wooden heels in SS08 and they were fine to walk in, not too heavy.

OllieWollieWoo · 28/02/2010 11:15

Morning - just earnt some 'MNting whist eating banana bread' time as just cleared out a big cupboard (not full of clothes but all the boys pens/playdough/colouringbooks/paint etc etc! Looks lovely and orderly now - but that will only last until the next time they open it and go rummaging - sigh!)

Thinking of you MM - I thought the house filled with sunflowers was a lovely way to remember.

MMM (I like the name!) - I splashed out on an expensive pair of jeans with DS2 and it was money well spent. I practically lived in them and they were so comfortable. I must have spent the same amount of 4 other pairs of cheap jeans whilst pregnant with DS1 and none of them looked right/fell down etc etc. I have since lent them to 2 friends who also raved about them and they really kept their shape and colour so I say go for it.

Romanarama · 28/02/2010 11:16

I love the carvela kojak ones LTEC and I think those really wide suede straps would be very comfy too.

hellsbelles · 28/02/2010 11:16

No LTEC - I reckon it was all down to you

Why don't you just start a blog and see what happens - would it cause problems with work? Can't see why they would mind unless you've specifically signed a contract promising not to. You can set them up for free can't you? I for one would read it and I bet loads of others would. You just have such a beautifully engaging style of writing. Tis compulsive reading.

Enjoy Biceseter!

Fleecy - glad to hear the outfit worked...agree on paper it does sound quite risky but looking at your profile pics and how gorgeous you are - I assume that is what made it work

O.k...better go make DD's lunch. DS is out at the cinema with DH. So easy peasey childcare right now!

bunnymother · 28/02/2010 11:19

Cakey - went to Zara and saw your horsey top, smiled and thought "giddyup" (a la Kramer from Seinfeld). Happy anniversary!! What are you doing to celebrate? I haven't bought the Theory skirt as it's £80 which is a bit exxy as not sure how often I'll wear it. But am v tempted!!
