Is this dress too white for a wedding guest?

Normally I'm in the camp of if you need to ask then it's a no but keen to hear what other's thoughts are. Is there too much white?
Thanks!

That link just takes you to a random river island page, no dress.

It’s fine. A little like a dressing gown to me but the colours are fine.

ladyamy · 23/04/2026 18:38

If you have to ask, then it is.

TomatoSandwiches · 23/04/2026 18:38

Thanks, that's a lovely dress but too much white imo. If the main colour was pink with white detail it would be fine.

Pearlstillsinging · 23/04/2026 18:39

Not too white, but too much like a dressing -gown, imho

Rincoe · 23/04/2026 18:40

It’s not too white - it has large and colourful patterns. Go for it.

greyweek · 23/04/2026 18:40

It’s floral! Of course, it’s fine. And I think it’s lovely.

AuntChippy · 23/04/2026 18:40

It’s not remotely too white.

Sunisgettinganewhaton · 23/04/2026 18:41

It obviously isn't going to make you look like a bride.. Maybe like a lady in her dressing gown though...

whattheysay · 23/04/2026 18:43

I wouldn’t wear it, it’s mainly white and people can be funny about that. There are lots of different coloured dresses just go with something else

Overtheatlantic · 23/04/2026 18:44

I’m not understanding the dressing gown comments; it’s a beautiful dress for a wedding.

mondaytosunday · 23/04/2026 18:44

Borderline. There’s so many pretty dresses out there now just avoid any white!

feelingsickpreggo · 23/04/2026 18:45

Yes it’s too white

minmooch · 23/04/2026 18:50

Not too white IMO and nothing like a wedding dress so if you like it go for it.

Backawayfromthesausage · 23/04/2026 18:51

Yes too white, and also it’s quite cheap looking when it’s not.

dizzydizzydizzy · 23/04/2026 18:52

Absolutely fine!

Error404FucksNotFound · 23/04/2026 18:52

I think it will divide opinion.
I'd play it safe and not wear anything that has a white background, no matter how bold the pattern

Not for me it didn't.

@Macadamia20 no it's not, it's fine colour wise.

newornotnew · 23/04/2026 18:53

It's fine on colour IMO but agree about dressing gown vibes!

Nope

Came to say the same, but actually, given the very robust pattern, I think it's fine.

I didn't want to say so, but interesting several of us thought the same thing.
