Hi,

Welcome to Part Two, (or Day 18 onwards…)

If you have the Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar or are just interested in what’s inside, then please feel free to join in by posting your thoughts on each day’s contents.

If you have swapped out any doors, you can either skip a day here or just tell us what you have swapped in and why!

As is ‘usual’ on these threads, please try to avoid revealing each day’s contents before 7am UK time.

@redluckycat they will have used the highest prices in their calculation, the RRP:
Thanks for working it out, its a bit of a let down really unless we have all full size total lux items for the rest of the drawers:
Having said that Im going to stop moaning about it ! 😅Utterly blooming lucky to have it (but will change next year)

carbonelthecat · 19/12/2025 13:53

DOD for me as well - I have loads of these BUT I have started working through them now I have a routine. So, on my day off, I do a workout first thing, then dampen my hair by dunking a comb in a sink of water and combing through until it is wet enough, then apply the Elasticizer and stick a shower cap on and go and have breakfast/ sort other things out for 20 mins. Then back and have proper shower.

I actually do quite like the product, it has just taken me forever to get round to using it!

TheFutureIs · 19/12/2025 14:41

Not that excited by today’s. As with others I do T often get time to pop on before a shower.
Sleep balm however, I have A LOT going on atm, causing mega stress which normally means terrible sleep. Had the best night in ages the last 2 nights using the balm

I have also slept well for the last two nights, actually been woken up by the alarm. Loving the sleep balm, would never have spent that amount of money on something I couldn’t guarantee worked!

EachandEveryone · 19/12/2025 16:14

My sisters space NK has been much better value with full size products. I think I’ll go for that one next year

Kitchendilemas · 19/12/2025 16:43

I really love Philip Kingsley products, so I’m happy😀. I’ve definitely just used this in place of normal conditioner previously too.
i am intrigued by the sleep balm & will try it tonight as I tend to wake up early

WhatAmIsupposeToDoNow · 19/12/2025 17:01

@EachandEveryone - I have been checking space nk as well and decided to go for it next year as well. It just seems more value for money. I do enjoy Liberty and love perfumes plus box itself but 2 years in a row is not worth it

@Kitchendilemas - I'm thinking of trying night balm tonight as well. Super excited 😆

Growlybear83 · 19/12/2025 17:07

I think the choice of calendar is very personal. I spent a very long time looking through the contents of all the main BACs and for me, Liberty and F&M were by far the best. I considered Space NK but I wouldn’t have used over half of the contents, whereas there are only three DODs in F&M and four or five in Liberty, which I took out when it arrived and replaced with things I knew I would love. I think the best value for money overall is probably Harrods but again, there was a high proportion of items that I wouldn’t have used.

redluckycat · 19/12/2025 17:39

It is very personal. I looked at Space NK before my DH purchased Liberty and it didn’t have as many products in that I’d like, so it wouldn’t have been as good value for me. I checked contents of every BAC before purchase and watched unboxings so I know for sure that this is the best one for me this year. This research was long ago enough that it’s all still a surprise to me!

moormum · 19/12/2025 18:08

redluckycat · 19/12/2025 11:29

I’ve been adding up the value, but according to my own calculations. So I ignored the 20% off that they had for a couple of days at the start (as the items were full RRP everywhere else) but I also didn’t include the value of the perfume that said it was a sample on the box, because I think after buying this many beauty products I’d have been entitled to a free perfume sample!

So with my own personal way of working it out the value for me so far comes out at £663.25.

I know someone had a lower value than me earlier in the thread, because they used the 20% off prices, which is fair enough - if you’d bought the items during those couple of days you could have had them cheaper.

I have just priced it up from current prices on Liberty website and get it to £594.55 so on either value it has a lot to make up to get to the publicised value of £1245!
There have been some great items but overall I am disappointed so far. I try not to look too closely at what is in the calendar in advance as I enjoy the surprise, but the fact that we have only had 3 makeup items, one of which was a very small (and problematic mascara) is not what I expected. I bought a Liberty calendar last year but will look elsewhere next year I think.

ohthejoysoftoddler · 19/12/2025 18:12

I just looked at the contents of space NK and I think I'll try that next year. So much more skincare - a bit like Liberty used to be!

Chocolateteabag · 19/12/2025 18:34

@keepincool - I would love your Elasticizer if not already taken? Will pm you

IlovePond · 19/12/2025 18:35

Thanks anyway @H3lloMums - hope your skin settles soon.

For me, it’s been enough to apply as a hand cream and then on the soles on my feet. Best nights sleep in months. Enjoy!

Ilikeyoursleeves · 19/12/2025 18:46

How does the sleep balm work if it’s on the soles of your feet??

redluckycat · 19/12/2025 19:15

Some of the items weren’t available on the Liberty website in the sizes given i.e. I think the Bibbi perfume was for sale on the Bibbi website in the travel size that we got for £42, but not on the Liberty site, so that might account for the difference (I didn’t pro rata the full size available at Liberty, which would have made it cheaper).

notnorman · 19/12/2025 19:20

It’s boring but good.

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 19/12/2025 20:00

@ohthejoysoftoddler completely agree. After 10 years of the Liberty Advent calendar, never again.

I’m genuinely glad for anyone who wanted that many fragrances to try.

I’m a signature fragrance person so eight fragrances out of 25 doors is not for me.

The Liberty Advent calendar having a couple of their 8 fragrance windows marked ‘sample’ is unacceptable.

Anyone could walk in-store and collect a number of samples. It shouldn’t be a drawer

shinny · 19/12/2025 20:06

@Tirednamechange
Just posted on old thread by mistake. I’ve now used the eye pencil twice and it’s smudged badly so I’m not keen for another.

Maybe we can see how we go at the end as we were planning on doing a swaps thread weren’t we?

I'm up for that as only like one of the fragrances and selling is too much like hard work!

Yes that's probably a better idea once we know everything that's in it

Have you included the bag in the calculation?
This is my third year and I found a perfume i absolutely love in the first drawer 3 years ago! I'm a bit disappointed by the amount of perfumes this year, not just because most aren't to my taste, but because I bought my mum the scent edit bag for Christmas! She has the advent calendar each year too and we keep it as a surprise each day. Im just a bit gutted that on Christmas day she will have tried a handful of them already 😒

moormum · 19/12/2025 20:40

No - I forgot about the bag but I don't think they would have included that as they quote the value of products included. Will hope next few days are better and look elsewhere instead next year (or just choose my own products instead!)

redluckycat · 19/12/2025 21:41

I didn’t include the price of the bag either because it’s packaging, and it’s the beauty contents that they base the value on (or should?!)

Only one perfume was marked as a sample, and I’m not convinced they give out perfume samples that size so readily without another purchase.

I love having a variety of perfumes because when I want to put perfume on each day I will be in the mood for a particular scent - I have a very good memory for the ones that I own (a fair few!) and can imagine straight away which I feel like wearing that day.

Sunshineo · 20/12/2025 06:36

I was busy yesterday so didn’t post but will make it my goal in 2026 to use up all of the PK elasticiser! I like what it does but I’m a bit too lazy!
