@countdowntonapi put it on my
legs and arms. It is brilliant!
anyone who’s used the eye cream, how have you found it? I’ve had a perioral dermatitis breakout,it had improved after 2 months of antibiotics but I had a facial a couple of weeks ago and it’s bad again. I can’t use any retinol products and I didn’t rate either the AB rich cream
or serum for my skin so thinking of selling it. Thanks

It’s fine (I have super dry skin so quite like AB) but not as good as the MZ eye cream from last year - no visible improvement.

Thanks! I’ve got really dry ( and ageing😬) skin but the rich cream didn’t really do anything and it was while I was using that that my pod started, possibly a coincidence but put me off. I’ll ponder. I loved the MZ eye too and bought two more one of which I’m using atm.

TragicMuse · 03/02/2026 23:35

Can anyone describe the texture of the La Mer lip balm?

Is it Vaseline-y? Or more like a cream like Blistex?

I wasn’t a fan of the Omorovicza, for example, it’s sticky and weird on my lips.

I haven’t opened it yet but I’m reluctant to go in blind in case I don’t like it!

thanks!

It’s more like a Vaseline in texture. But pleasant. It’s also minty-tingly. I’ve enjoyed it, but as someone who has longer nails, the tin is not an ideal vessel for me.

TragicMuse · 04/02/2026 08:42

Thanks @Netaporter I’ll have to consider - Blistex Intensive Moisturiser is my one true love, so I might sell on the La Mer…

I haven’t felt rich enough to re-buy the MZ but it’s on my wish list! I don’t know that AB is actively good for my skin, but it’s so thick and greasy that at least I’m not constantly thinking about the dryness 🌵Hope your skin feels better soon - sounds painful.

nor am I, they were off Vinted!! Thanks me too, I look old and haggard, doing my head in!

I hate saying this but I love the la mer lip balm, it’s like Vaseline but firmer texture and longer lasting if that makes sense?

TragicMuse · 04/02/2026 11:46

Total sense @PuzzlingRecluse thanks.

I really like it too. Which is a bit heartbreaking because it costs over £60.

TragicMuse · 04/02/2026 12:53

I think I’ll sell mine! But not for £60!!

Ilikeyoursleeves · 04/02/2026 18:24

Hello Liberty folks! I have been using the La Mer lip balm every day since we got it (it lives on my dressing table as I don’t like using pot lip balms out and about) but I wouldn’t buy it. I don’t think it’s the same consistency as Vaseline, Vaseline is quite melty whereas La Mer is a lot harder. I have to apply about 3 or 4 swipes to get enough on my lips. I don’t feel it lasts that long either. I prefer my Home Bargains 4 for 99p Slush Puppies lip balms 🤣

AndeanFlamingo · 05/02/2026 11:19

I agree with @Ilikeyoursleeves on the La Mer lip balm. It's fine but I prefer my trusty Vaseline.

HumBumBum · 07/02/2026 07:52

I wish I’d sold the lip balm tbh, it bugs me that it costs so much money when it does so little. I’ve had to scrape bits out of the tin with my nails to get it on my lips (as the texture is so solid) and now the remaining product is lumpy and feels horrid to put on - but I persist because £60 (when really I’d prefer some Carmex).

Last years gloss was better.

I don’t understand this. If you’d paid £60 for it I’d get it but you didn’t. I’ve used mine a lot and there’s barely a dent in it so it’s going to last a long time.

Great, I’m glad you like it, I like it less!

Ilikeyoursleeves · 07/02/2026 11:18

I’m using my La Mer every day and I’m now starting to see the glass bottom shine through… I’m on a mission to use it all up but I may be some time 🤣

Sprayed on some Ex Nihilo this morning, I forgot how much I loved that when I tried it in December! I’ve so many perfumes that I’m using them on rotation

That's one of the perfumes I didn't even sniff!

I put it straight on vinted because I simply can't afford to fall in love with any more 🤣

Maybe I should take it off and have a whiff

Ilikeyoursleeves · 07/02/2026 12:30

@Seagullstopitnow oh you should, just to try it then keep it on Vinted if you don’t like it.

Seagullstopitnow · 07/02/2026 12:37

I already have full size bottles of tudor and sana jardin I'll struggle to get through, but I'll have a sniff 😁

Chocolateteabag · 08/02/2026 12:33

I’m still debating whether to use or sell mine

There are quite a few unopened La Mer lip balms on Vinted for £20-25+ so I suspect the real sale value is going to be £18-20
maybe 15-16 for a quick sale

On balance I think I’ll enjoy it more than I’ll enjoy getting less than £20 for it - that’s my weird Vinted maths though!

AndeanFlamingo · 08/02/2026 13:14

@Chocolateteabag That's why I decided to keep and use mine. I knew it wouldn't beat my beloved Vaseline but I'd rather use it and enjoy it for a change than sell it for £15-£20. I might keep the tub once it's finished to store my tablets in too.

TragicMuse · 08/02/2026 17:21

I think you’re right, that’s the heart of it @Chocolateteabag I could get £15-20 for it, I’m not sure I can be arsed!

I’d say it’s like a milder Vaseline texture, slippery like that but not as thick/clingy. It’s like the blister tub, little greasier perhaps.

The MZ Skin Rich moisturiser is available for £40 on TK Maxx. I just ordered as it was a surprise advent favourite
