Hi,

Welcome to Part Two, (or Day 18 onwards…)

If you have the Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar or are just interested in what’s inside, then please feel free to join in by posting your thoughts on each day’s contents.

If you have swapped out any doors, you can either skip a day here or just tell us what you have swapped in and why!

As is ‘usual’ on these threads, please try to avoid revealing each day’s contents before 7am UK time.

I would just wet my hair under the tap rather than get in and out of the shower twice.

Yep, or just use a water spray bottle (a tip I heard before when I was trying to figure out how to fit in using this product) - no swapsies then? 😆

UntamedShrew · 19/12/2025 08:14

My DD loves this product and being 14 has plenty of time for multi stage showers 🙄

So this can go in her stocking. I think she was hoping for more but this is the first thing I’ve passed on!

H3lloMums · 19/12/2025 08:20

On a different note I have noticed tiny bumps/pinkness on my lower face only like a mild allergy but not sure what it could be - maybe the toner or the serum, anyone else? Boring I may have to stop everything and introduce slowly.

nearly61 · 19/12/2025 08:21

It's a funny one to include in a luxury calendar as it's a very well known older product, which has a bit of a staid reputation. I think something from a newer range that most hadn't tried before would have been a smarter inclusion BUT having said all that I'm afraid I'm a huge fan of this faffy preconditioner and actually have a 1l tub of it upstairs!
If you have never tried this before, please give it a whirl as it genuinely deserves the various awards it won years ago that first made it a cult product.

Pinkyporky · 19/12/2025 08:22

Same issue here with time, so this will definitely last the year (or longer!). I’m going to try to remember to take this on holiday next month, then I’m going to try to remember to use it 😂

This has happened to me in the past, so I now only introduce one product at a time. So far I’ve only cracked open the serum as my usual Vit c. Serum had run out. It does mean I get to play with new products throughout the year though.

moormum · 19/12/2025 08:52

Is anyone still keeping track of the value of products so far?
I have to agree that today's product seems a bit 'boring'! I have opened lots of these in the past and never got into the habit of using regularly- again it's a time issue. Perhaps I'll try over the Christmas break!

HostessTrolley · 19/12/2025 09:02

I keep wondering about taking this product to the gym, to rinse my hair after swimming and put it in before going in the sauna...

PacificState · 19/12/2025 09:05

I’m at the stage where I could pretty much open up a small hair products shop with all of my unopened elasticizers and hair oils and blah. My scalp doesn’t like most of them.

Yeah the upside is that products hang around for a long time!!

AnnieFrancais · 19/12/2025 09:37

Someone said the value was just over £500 a couple of days ago, I can't see yesterday and today have added a lot to it: How does it get to £1,200+ in the rest of the time? Im really trying to stay positive but a bit dissapointed tbh /:

I do that, makes hair nice and soft, it is a decent product just not luxury BAC worthy

JoRaRaRa · 19/12/2025 09:39

I'm nosey, so I'm just lurking 😊

I agree with some that after the rounds it's done, the elasticizer has no place in a luxury calendar, I think the same about sdj bum bum cream. Saying that though, it is a good product.

I tend to use it on a Saturday morning when I've got a bit more time. I jump in the shower, shampoo my hair, and then put the elastizer on, exfoliate, shave, wash my face, body and give my feet a good scrub 🤣 I don't think I quite get to 10mins, but even after 5 mins, it feels so silky and smooth. I then lock it in with conditioner.

AnnieFrancais · 19/12/2025 09:42

Netaporter · 19/12/2025 07:52

This is lovely if you have time to languish in a bath. Sadly I don’t have a bath at the moment and a highly doubt I’m getting in and out if a shower twice within 20mins.. one for my holiday packing I guess!

@Netaporter I just wet my hair using my hands under the tap (Ive the litre bottle!) then put the conditioner on and put a shower cap on and wrap in a towel or just tie it up: Sometimes I leave it on an hour or so while Im doing anything at home:

AnnieFrancais · 19/12/2025 09:44

Heads up Re the Elastisizer - if you use it in the bath beware, I rinsed my hair a few years ago (in the bath) then stood to get out and slipped and cracked some ribs on the side! It makes the bath (and shower) slippery

Thank you! No idea why I didn’t think of a spray bottle tbh. My house is done in a ‘looks over actual practical function’ sort of way so getting a head under a tap is no mean feat 😂

Growlybear83 · 19/12/2025 10:01

I don’t mind the elasticiser but I use it like an ordinary conditioner when I have my shower after I’ve been swimming. It was one of the least exciting drawers for me, which must have been why I added a small fragrance from the HN calendar.

Tirednamechange · 19/12/2025 11:06

I use elasticizer anyway, I alternate between a few pre wash treatments so although not very exciting I know I like it and will use it. But as soon as I saw it this morning I knew not everyone would be happy and I do agree that it doesn't really belong in a luxury calender

Ouch! That sounds nasty. Hope you recovered quickly x

keepincool · 19/12/2025 11:13

If anyone would like my Elastisizer I'm happy to post it to you - I don't want to swap it for anything. Just PM me.

IlovePond · 19/12/2025 11:20

@H3lloMums - sorry to hear about your possible reaction to something. Could you tell us which ones you have been trying so I can remember to do a patch test first? Thanks

@AnnieFrancais thanks for the slippiness warning. Your accident sounds painful 😣

I will probably use the elasticiser for a couple of minutes pre-wash as my shower goes cold after only a few minutes!

redluckycat · 19/12/2025 11:29

I’ve been adding up the value, but according to my own calculations. So I ignored the 20% off that they had for a couple of days at the start (as the items were full RRP everywhere else) but I also didn’t include the value of the perfume that said it was a sample on the box, because I think after buying this many beauty products I’d have been entitled to a free perfume sample!

So with my own personal way of working it out the value for me so far comes out at £663.25.

I know someone had a lower value than me earlier in the thread, because they used the 20% off prices, which is fair enough - if you’d bought the items during those couple of days you could have had them cheaper.

EdinaMonsoon · 19/12/2025 11:34

@Netaporter Thank you for your advice on incorporating new things into my existing skincare routine. Super helpful!

@AnnieFrancais Ouch :-( Sorry to hear about your accident. Must have been very painful. Thank you for the warning.

Agree that today's drawer was somewhat underwhelming. I'm new to BACs but Elasticizer does not say luxe to me. It's going to be regifted I think.

Hicupping · 19/12/2025 12:16

I've been trying it as a conditioner and it's not really very good at that for me. As others say being organised enough and wanting to sit around with damp hair are a challenge.

H3lloMums · 19/12/2025 12:21

Not that easy to @IlovePond as in a moment of thinking my skin had not been reactive lately I'd also been trying some other products that I hadn't opened yet. I haven't been very loyal and trying lots of things, including all the products in the calendar up to day 16.
