Hi,

Welcome to Part Two, (or Day 18 onwards…)

If you have the Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar or are just interested in what’s inside, then please feel free to join in by posting your thoughts on each day’s contents.

If you have swapped out any doors, you can either skip a day here or just tell us what you have swapped in and why!

As is ‘usual’ on these threads, please try to avoid revealing each day’s contents before 7am UK time.

Will definitely use today's. Love a make up product and I have never tried any of Trinny's make up before. This is a hit for me.
I do agree, the £1200 total estimate by Liberty was somewhat over exaggerated.

SunMootStars · 20/12/2025 08:09

This looks like a fab product. It’s right up my street amd I will definitely use it. very happy with this. Although I admit i was greedily expecting either a double drawer or something more luxe after seeing the current value calcs discussed here!

redluckycat · 20/12/2025 08:10

I’m very happy with today’s (Trinny London Sheer Shimmer Lip2Cheek in Violine). I rarely buy make up now so it is quite exciting to get, and the colour Violine is described as ‘natural rosebud shimmer’ which is perfect. I’ve tried some on my hand and it looks lovely - I’ll wear a bit daily over the festive season.

redluckycat · 20/12/2025 08:18

Here’s a list of products that we’ve had so far. Prices are according to my own calculations/ research on the days that we got them (so subject to change). I’ve put them into catergories rather than day order so you can see the variety of skincare and make-up more easily. I’m very happy with the variety of products, personally.

Cleanser (Dr David Jack, £14)
Toner (Sisley, £57)
Serum (Emma Lewisham, £85)
Treatment (Paula’s Choice, £42)
Exfoliator (Dermalogica, £18)
Eye masks (Skin Cycles, £60)
Moisturiser (MZ Skin, £33)
Body oil (Mirror Water £27)
Night balm (Verdejo, £30)
Sheer lipstick (Trish McEvoy, £22)
Brown eyeliner (Lisa Eldridge, £24)
Travel mascara (Jones Road, £9)
Lip/ cheek shimmer colour (Trinny London, £26)
Treatment shampoo (Naturaltech, £9.50)
Deep conditioner (Philip Kingsley, £21)
Hair argan oil (Maria Mila, £16)
Hair finishing cream (Larry King, £12)
Perfumes x 6 (£45/33/42/22.50/41.25/£0)

This was one of my reasons to buy, so delighted to try it.

Trying not to get bogged down by the value discussion, and I can’t remember previous years, but have their values previously added up to their estimates?

nearly61 · 20/12/2025 08:22

Thank you @redluckycat that's incredibly helpful. It is a bit surprising the figures are as low as that though -the next 5 drawers must have high value items in to catch up I guess. Perhaps we are finishing on a high!!

Ilikeyoursleeves · 20/12/2025 08:26

Here’s a photo for the lurkers! This looks like a great product, I’ll try this out once I’m up!

We had a similar product to today’s last year, by Rose Inc. I love it, but the shade I had isn’t available in the UK anymore, so this looks like it will be a great replacement. Don’t suppose anyone has the Rose Inc from last year that they don’t want?

nearly61 · 20/12/2025 08:37

Funny though -this is a bit like my shopping when everything 'is only £20 or so' so how on earth does it reach £100s when I come to pay...
Actually I do love everything in this calendar, I even like the PK and I would far rather have these, maybe-smaller-than-SNK items, than larger sizes of things I simply wouldn't ever use. Which is a completely personal thing I realise but I was in danger of letting myself dwell on bargains possibly missed, when in fact I know I'd have had to give away most of the SNK advent -which is why I chose Liberty. Well that and the fact I'd saved the BD money and I desperately wanted the outstanding box and bag that I've enjoyed for a couple of months now.
Anyhow, I hope that most of you have also loved the majority of your advent this year and I'm truly very sad for those that haven't, perhaps because it was a gift or bought blind. It's horrible to be disappointed by a much longed for treat.

Yes they have to within £10 or so. It would be false advertising if they didn’t.

Sunshineo · 20/12/2025 08:41

I’ve tried some of today’s on my hand, a nice little sparkle although I’m not getting much colour etc. I’ll try it probably before (or maybe after?) we go out for lunch.

ReprogramNeeded · 20/12/2025 08:44

My favourites so far are the vit C serum and the I don't Know What, but I haven't tried everything as I am quote strict with myself with not opening a new product if I already have something on the go.
I am struggling with the price of the Sisley toner. It's nice, but I can't see that value in it!

I wanted to ask, what are your ideas for how to use the box in the new year?
I have seen them for sale on Vinted/ebay.
In previous years the boxes have been equi-sized, but this year we are back to different sizes and shapes which makes it harder to reuse?

msmillicentcat · 20/12/2025 08:52

I really like this one. It’s very subtle but nice and glowy. Also I discovered that if you have another Trinny product with the same pot, they actually clip together which I love (don’t know why!). I have another blush which I think came in the Liberty Glam set. This alone would definitely make me purchase more colours!

This was the packaging, with a round palette of cream inside.

I really like todays, I almost put it in DDs bag because it looks peachy in the pot but when @redluckycat said its rosebud I tried it and its great:
Also thanks for the calculations: most of those sort of value items shouldn't make up the majority of the sell-out, most luxury BAC:
Mine is a present and I feel really bad that Im disappointed but its a hard earnt purchase by my husband because I love surprises (and a surprise a day is joy!) and even he can see that most are travel sizes, or the small gifts you get at Sephora if you buy a few items, and most are not considered luxury brands: Off to use my elastisizor and do some exercise, have a great weekend everyone - I miss this page as much as the AC after Christmas!

Oh that was a nice one, not shimmery and really nice to blend, I still have some left!

It was this. Utterly brilliant, there’s still a bit left in mine. Discontinued now.

I fill one with bits as an advent calendar for my grand children: but now Ive a few but they are too gorgeous to throw away!

Growlybear83 · 20/12/2025 09:03

I’m very happy with today’s drawer - it’s one of the things I swapped with a perfume from the HN calendar and sold on Vinted 😆

I think that one was from the calendar the year before. I loved it too and bought a few replacements on vinted.

Growlybear83 · 20/12/2025 09:09

@ReprogramNeeded. I sold my empty Liberty, Harrods, and HN boxes on eBay for between £10-20 each - Vinted don’t allow you to sell advent calendars, full or empty, and remove them if they get noticed. I’ve kept my empty Harrods fragrance calendar boxes as they are good for storage when the individual boxes are removed. I came across a HN fragrance calendar box a few weeks ask which I filled with makeup, nail varnish, and cleansers that were left over from other calendars last year and gave it to my local charity shop.

H3lloMums · 20/12/2025 09:12

Happy with today. Have one in another colour so already know quite like so looking forward to trying this is can be a litttle sticky on the cheek sometimes! Thanks for the tally - I've been keeping score too and nice to see it categorised by type - the spread looks good but it means that the next five boxes should be worth over £500 otherwise im guessing Lib CS will be getting a some complaints! I also agree about the samples in a luxury calendar - I felt this way about the mascara too. Have looked at space nk and it does look goo and seems to be generating excitement due to double doors too. , I chose this one primarily because I had beauty drop money so didn't feel "real money" - if only space nk did their own loyalty beauty drop scheme...

BIossomtoes · 20/12/2025 09:15

if only space nk did their own loyalty beauty drop scheme...

I wish. It looks like a fabulous calendar this year.
