Thanks for the new thread!

Can’t believe Thread 2.
i haven’t really used anything yet but following is helpful. I would have discarded the lipstick, if it wasn’t for the other Thread.

The magnesium ball is great. It’s not luxury though.

countdowntonap · 18/12/2025 07:10

This morning’s drawer is exactly the reason why a buy a BAC. Two new products for me that I will enjoy researching and reading the reviews of.

TragicMuse · 18/12/2025 07:17

I’m very pleased with today’s, I’ve used them both before and like them. My kind of day!

Netaporter · 18/12/2025 07:19

Loving today’s drawer. Both great brands.

The dermalogica exfoliant needs to be rinsed off. Use after your cleanser. Personally I use an exfoliant once a day in my PM routine because I have more time; especially if I am wearing make up because it removes any pore-clogging products which may have evaded a double cleanse… I would use this before any acid toner but be careful you don’t overwhelm your skin if you are new to a multi step skincare routine/have sensitive skin - the dermalogica exfoliant alone should be enough..

The Paula’s choice Azelaic acid booster is a treatment step not an acid tone step (like the AHA we had last year) This step can be used alongside another serum but again, if your skin is not used to vitc/a or skin brightening products then proceed slowly. Personally, I don’t think you need a vit c/a product and then in addition this, but it is personal choice. If you have sensitive skin, do a patch test first before discovering the next morning that you look like Samantha Jones on SATC after a chemical peel / or you don’t have a bee-keeping hat to hand 😉

Absolutely essential (and yes, even at this time of the year) that you use an SPF in your morning routine if you are using skin brightening products (so vitamin c or vit a/also called retinols) because you are both wasting your time and risking your skin developing a reaction in sunlight.

I forgot to mention previously, I only use a traditional flannel (washcloth) for my skincare routine and you might want to consider swapping to something like this when using the dermalogica exfoliant to remove any trace of the rice powder. Flannels are also great at removing make up, are cost effective (no need for special ones, the cheap ikea cotton towelling facecloths last well) and you can just throw them in your general laundry after each use. I use cotton wool pads only really for acid toning products. Hope that helps!

Seagullstopitnow · 18/12/2025 07:33

Hurrah! Skincare!
I might pass the magnesium cream to my friend that suffers from restless legs.
Unfortunately I have psoriasis so I'm fed up of always being covered in body creams 🤣

redluckycat · 18/12/2025 07:33

Very happy with today’s. I’ve used Dermalogica products for 20+ years; I repeat buy two of the moisturisers as nothing else I’ve tried has matched them for my skin. I’ve used the daily microfoliant on and off (I now mainly use it if I get a sample as my favourite exfoliator is an Elemis one) but it works really well and using it once or twice a week is enough for my skin, so this should last a while.

I’ve never used PC but have heard lots about it (unlike some of the other brands!) as it was popular on the beauty boards during my handbag forum days! So I’m looking forward to trying it.

TheFutureIs · 18/12/2025 07:34

Thanks for all the info @Netaporter I will proceed to use the acid cautiously. Already have the exfoliant so I know this is safe

teenagersandalittleone · 18/12/2025 07:39

Excited for this mornings draw!

redluckycat · 18/12/2025 07:40

And I had a great deep sleep after using the magnesium cream. I put it on my lower legs, but I also kept it on my hands after putting it on.

SunMootStars · 18/12/2025 07:43

Two really interesting products! Delighted with today, especially the exfoliant. Something I really need!
Last week of our gorgeous drawers, I’ll be so sad waking up on the 26th with no lovely little surprise waiting for me downstairs!!

WeAreBorg · 18/12/2025 07:50

A SpaceNK BAC person following out of nosiness, thanks for the new thread!

Do you have any experience or advice about using the exfoliator with Tret?

AnnieFrancais · 18/12/2025 07:53

@WeAreBorg How is the Space NK AC? Really considering it for next year :)

H3lloMums · 18/12/2025 08:00

woo skincare! And a double drawer - this is exciting. I have the Paula choice already from another kit last year but never felt any difference/effect or even sure if puttting on a right time - would be interested to hear if anyone else has used it and noticed anything - maybe I've just put on at wrong time as tended to do after moisturiser which sounds wrong @Netaporter ...

HumBumBum · 18/12/2025 08:02

Morning! Great to get two products this morning, although unlikely to ever get round to using them (I have lots of used-once exfoliators)

I’ve been away so only opened 16/17 last night and LOVE the perfume topper!!

imp2007 · 18/12/2025 08:02

Thanks for the new thread - Dermalogica was the brand I started with when I first decided I needed a 'proper' skincare routine - back in the days of face mapping not sure if they still do that anymore? Really rate their products and never had an issue with any of them the exfoliator will definitely get used although we have already got some in the cupboard as I put a tube in DH stocking last year and don't think he's used it much - oh well all the more for me!!!

I'm a bit nervous about acids will wait and see how others fare.

Thanks for the info @Netaporter much appreciated- whilst I love skincare and trying new products am not the most knowledgeable .

UntamedShrew · 18/12/2025 08:03

I put the Verden balm on my chest last night and slept well… I think this is more down to exhaustion than the balm but my skin feels nice at least!

I don’t know if / how I’ll fit this morning’s acid into my routine. Will proceed with caution as you advise @Netaporter

thanks for new thread!

I’m not a Tret user I’m afraid so no personal experience. And to be clear, whilst I love all things skincare and could open a shop with my stash 😂 I’m not a professional so I’d check with your Tret provider, but I guess you still need to exfoliate before a treat step at least once a week? And the Dermalogica is a fairly innocuous product which shouldn’t irritate most skin types.

Marking place for new thread! Have a wonderful day ladies 🌺

As a general rule, apply thinnest to thickest consistently with skincare so moisturiser should always go last - except for daytime when SPF should go last if your moisturiser does not contain one. So yes, this one should come before a moisturiser.

Thank you, Skin & Me say not to use an exfoliator, but it's annoying because I really miss it. I have used this product before and love it , I know it is really gentle.
I think I might just take a few days off the Tret every now and then, and use it. I just dont feel properly scrubbed without an occasional exfoliator!

I use skin & me and exfoliants without any issue. I just use them either in the morning, or if do it in the evening and skip the skin & me that night.
