Hi,

Welcome to Part Two, (or Day 18 onwards…)

If you have the Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar or are just interested in what’s inside, then please feel free to join in by posting your thoughts on each day’s contents.

If you have swapped out any doors, you can either skip a day here or just tell us what you have swapped in and why!

As is ‘usual’ on these threads, please try to avoid revealing each day’s contents before 7am UK time.

I have a question!
Is the Paula's Choice Booster a treatment or an exfoliant? (sorry, quite clueless on skincare). And would you use it on the same day that you use the Emma Lewisham Skin Reset Serum? Or as an alternative?

Any advice on how to build the BAC products into my usual routine would be very welcome :) FYI: I rarely wear make up and live in southern Europe for most of the year - only spending a couple of months of winter in the UK - so experience a lot of sun exposure.

My usual routine is (All Sunday Riley products)
Morning -
Ceramic Slip Cleanser
Pink Drink Resurfacing Essence
CEO 15% Vit C Serum
CEO Vit C Rich Hydration Cream
Glossier Invisible Shield spf50

Evening -
Ceramic Slip Cleanser
Luna Oil or Jojoba Oil (more or less on alternate days).

Really like today’s drawer. For those asking I’ve used the microfoliant for years and it is very gentle. I’ve also used it the morning after Tret to no ill effect

IlovePond · 18/12/2025 14:25

Afternoon, everyone. I have to confess - I’m a bit scared of the two items in today’s drawer 🙀 and have been reading everyone’s thoughts with interest.

Thanks, especially @Netaporter for your information on the products!

I think I will give the exfoliator a go, but it’s unlikely I will use the PC. I will give it some more thought.

I can’t believe it’s Day 18 already!

I really like the exfoliator I’m grateful for the pp who advised it’s not sealed - that would have been a disaster!

also really happy to have swapped the pc - I’m a bit scared to even try it, so glad it’s going to someone who will use it😊

2025istheyeari · 18/12/2025 15:51

Thanks so much for the advice @Netaporter! I used to use daily micro foliant and loved it so pleased to have it again! But wary of acids just because of my perioral dermatitis…

narniabusiness · 18/12/2025 16:22

I have quite delicate skin and I don’t find the microfoliant irritates it. I don’t use it very often though, one a week I would think, and only half a teaspoon of product . This one will last me a good while.

AnnieFrancais · 18/12/2025 16:24

Is anyone in France who would like to swap something for the ex nihilo blue talisman (I LOVE it): The Liberty perfume or the Bibbi one, the perfume topper or the Hair oil, or maybe something coming up that was mentioned by accident by someone earlier ;)

TreesinthePark · 18/12/2025 16:26

I like to use the microfoliant after I've been to the gym (so not that often!) because it really makes my skin feel cleaned and removes sweat/grime.

I've not tried this PC product before but am obsessed with the BHA toner and have enjoyed everything else from her I've tried. I'm happy with today's drawer.

I think I will give yesterday's item away, never struggle to sleep its always been getting up that's my problem!

Have a look at my post from page 1.

You can use today’s PC in addition to Vit C but it is essentially doing the same sort of job so I wouldn’t as it is a bit of a waste plus you can’t judge if it is working for you if you are still using the Vit c. You could use it in your PM routine after the cleanser with a moisturiser on top when your Luna oil runs out. Or in the AM when your Vit c does. The Emma Lewisham serum could also take the place of the same in either the AM or the PM but again it does the same job so using both would not be economic.

Hope you like them!

A PC product triggered my perioral dermatitis last year.

Ilikeyoursleeves · 18/12/2025 19:36

I’ve sent you PM’s @HumBumBum and @Chocolateteabag re swaps ☺️

Chocolateteabag · 18/12/2025 21:40

@Ilikeyoursleeves - sent you a PM back

sorry everyone - just as an FYI - you need name/mobile/email address and store location for Yodel - but it’s then just £1.99 to send small parcel for the swaps

Every day is a school day in some way!

Chickydoo · 19/12/2025 00:37

I used the exfoliant this morning, my skin felt amazing straight afterwards, a winner for me

Lotsofpots · 19/12/2025 07:18

Good god no one needs another one of these. Surely they know that!!!

I know - my first dod, there has to be at least one though, right? 😄

Ilikeyoursleeves · 19/12/2025 07:37

lol I thought the same as I’ve had loads of these in the past! I’ll give it a whirl though to see if it helps my hair! (Philip Kingsley Elasticizer deep conditioning treatment)

Ugh that will be a proper dud for me and really doesn’t feel special at all.

HumBumBum · 19/12/2025 07:49

Total DOD for me.
I don’t have time for an extra 10 minute step BEFORE I wash, condition, dry and style my hair.

Ilikeyoursleeves · 19/12/2025 07:51

I thought the same re fitting this in BEFORE a shower?! 🤔

countdowntonap · 19/12/2025 07:52

Yes it’s a time issue for me too! That’s why I have several in-opened tubes of this.

Netaporter · 19/12/2025 07:52

This is lovely if you have time to languish in a bath. Sadly I don’t have a bath at the moment and a highly doubt I’m getting in and out if a shower twice within 20mins.. one for my holiday packing I guess!

narniabusiness · 19/12/2025 07:57

I find this product is very good for my dry frizzy hair. It’s the only thing that gives it a swishy texture apart from the expensive keratin treatment that I have been getting lately. I used to put it on then have a cup of tea/ breakfast and have a bath afterwards to wash my hair.
As soon as I saw this drawer I knew there would be lots of disappointment on this thread but it’s actually a very good product.

redluckycat · 19/12/2025 07:57

I’m happy with this as I was hoping for some sort of conditioner after the shampoo, and I’m just about to run out of deep conditioner. This is only the second time I’ve had this and the first tube was tiny! I have a long relaxing bath with my book every evening once the DC are in bed, so will get the chance to use it.

narniabusiness · 19/12/2025 07:58

I would just wet my hair under the tap rather than get in and out of the shower twice.

imp2007 · 19/12/2025 08:08

Definitely the least exciting drawer for me so far - sure it is a good product but like somebody else said feels like a bit of a hassle to put it on before shampooing- might make the effort to do it over the Christmas break though. Definitely one for a bath!
