Princessing for Christmas 2025

estellacandance · 09/09/2025 10:00

I haven’t seen a princessing thread for ages.

I feel like my self care has been sidelined this year.
My skin, weight and mental health have suffered the most.

So my list to prioritise:
Bed by 11, sleep by midnight
Remove make up at night
Night cream/retinol
Use my LED machines!
Hyaluronic serum in the morning
More frequent & thorough teethbrushing & use whitener.
Have water with me all the time
Take vitamins/supplements with my breakfast.
Daily stretches/yoga inc breath work
Outdoors every day, more forest bathing/blue space.
Drink green tea
Daily smoothie, raw veg & more fruit.
Weekly coconut hair mask.
Pelvic floor exercises 3 times a day
Morning Pages
Read from a book every evening
Squats amap
DIY mani/pedi inc self reflexology/Shiatsu
Reduce UHP foods/drinks
Daily relaxation/meditation with music/incense

Who wants to join?

What are your goals?

How’s everyone getting on?

Life as ever has got in the way but I’m definitely having more ‘everything’ baths, am taking better care of my skin etc. I’ve stuck to regular face masks & serums. Got myself the M&S advent calendar today.

I still need to up my exercise but I am stretching more than I did.

Im also drinking more water & eating more veg.

Still a long way to go but I feel like it’s the baby steps that start every journey…

following!

Lonemumallthetime · 27/10/2025 06:32

Mine are pretty basic as was struggling to do anything normal post a sad breakup

Brushing through hair - yes, and lots of compliments
Drink more water - nope
Eat healthily - was on OMAD and weight wasn't moving, now eating a second meal and feeling much better for it
Walk more - was stop starting on my daily 45min walk but now much less so, much more energy

Faking it till I make it!

It’s good you are making the effort.

Hair cut done now , next step is get the hairdye out .

Used facial exfoliant in shower and my nice weekend shower gel .

Need to book a dental appointment
Dye my brows

estellacandance · 12/11/2025 10:32

How’s everyone getting on? I have a few days of just being too preoccupied with life crap to pay any attention to myself then kick myself back to it!

I really need to try drinking more water. Being permanently dehydrated isn’t good!

But changes I’ve maintained are more use of serums/night creams, Gu Shua (sp?), everything baths weekly or more. Some forest bathing/walking (on dry days!)

Im also eating raw veg almost daily. More fruit also.

My skin is more clear and my clothes feel looser but I’m still far too scared to go near the scales!

Lonemumallthetime · 12/11/2025 11:07

@estellacandance same as before! Lets do it!

Brushing through hair
Drinking more water
Eat healthily - and regularly
Walk more - feeling much fitter for it and looser clothes
Using shower gels and looking after my skin
Buying more flattering clothes rather than anything drab
Decluttering everything at home : clothes, paper etc

crappycrapcrap · 12/11/2025 11:23

I find I can achieve one or two of these in about a year tbh - really cementing a routine and change isn’t easy. I’ve managed to stop drinking except when out for a meal and thorough dental hygiene.

Id like to achieve:
daily home work outs (trampoline)
Drink more water
10,000 steps - I’m a million miles away from this
Read more - I’m a slow reader and tend to scroll instead
I want to join a photography club
Give up sugar (but I don’t think I ever will)

I think I’ve turned it more into surviving for Christmas 2025 rather than princessing 😁🤪

SydneyCarton · 12/11/2025 16:28

I've followed a couple of these threads in the past but didn't realise there was a Christmas one. Only got six weeks to go but hopefully I can make a bit of a difference. My water and vitamin intake is OK - I was taking a bunch of stuff earlier in the year but stopped as it didn't really seem to be making much difference. Still taking a multivitamin in the morning just to cover all bases, and magnesium at night.

Skincare could use a bit of work - I've had some Beauty Pie stuff sitting in my basket for a while so need to check it out and get back into a proper routine as opposed to just taking off my mascara at night. I have a face wash in the shower and I do use that in the mornings. Really like the sound of an everything shower and will try to include that once a week.

Goals for the rest of the week (until Sunday):

  • 2 litres of water a day, multivitamin and magnesium
  • Cleanse and moisturise morning and evening, and check out my BP basket!
  • Finish Week 1 of Couch to 5K (I have been running on and off, mostly on to be fair, for the last five years but it's fallen by the wayside a bit recently so getting back to basics)
  • Two weights workouts, either at the gym or at home
  • Everything shower on Sunday evening

I'm going with "don't pick up any new bad habits between now and christmas".

I completely fell off the thread (and the princessing wagon!).
6 weeks to go and I’m going to make a big effort! I had my hair cut and coloured today and made an appointment for just before Christmas to get my roots touched up.
From Monday I’m going to aim for at least 4 x 20mins of exercise a week, less sugar/sweets/chocolate, more water and more sleep

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 01/12/2025 22:12

Back in the saddle !
On the home straight now it's Dec 1st .
I did a face mask yesterday , skin feel nice Xmas Grin
Walks loads over the weekend
Had two baths in three days ( I haven't have two baths in the last three years as I'm not a fan. Still not a fan )
Thought about doing a hair mask but couldn't be bothered , my excuse was my hair felt soft and swishy already with new shampoo/conditioner .

I now have my Advent Calendar to inspire me .

I wore some nicer clothes rather than pick oh this old thing from the wardrobe .

Lonemumallthetime · 02/12/2025 05:34

Im still trying to give myself a glow up. Have been looking at pictures of people like Adele who have completely transformed their look. I so wish i had someone to help me! I havent the courage to go on weight loss injections etc so its just gotta be what I can manage! I need a glow up!

Walking loads : 15k steps a day
Two meals a day certainly helps
Decluttered like mad meaning I got rid of everything that didnt fit and im now wearing decent clothes that suit me, so Im high fiving you @70isaLimitNotaTarget

Bought a spray root touch up rather than colouring loads everywhere 2 weeks - really makes a big difference
Threading etc next week before Xmas party
Have completed revamping my bathroom so now have super power shower and an extra large bath. Makes me more inclined to look after myself and ive asked for decent bath stuff for xmas. Was never a bath person but having a lovely bath whilst watching TV on my ipad is bliss

LBB2020 · 02/12/2025 07:28

I’m still plodding away in the background! I haven’t weighed myself for a couple of months but to be honest until last week my diet wasn’t great. I’ve stopped snacking and just having three proper meals a day and trying to drink as much water/herbal tea as possible. I’m trying to exercise 2/3 times a week and get in as many steps as possible but WFH makes it difficult.
I also had a big wardrobe clear out and sold lots of stuff on Vinted. I’m trying to wear proper clothes (not leggings!) a few times a week as it makes me feel so much better!
I have also booked an eyebrow and a hair appointment for before Christmas

tostaky · 05/12/2025 16:50

Hello princesses,

i fell off the wagon!

but…
i had my eyebrows done last week
i bought some nice new clothes
i bought a nice leave-in conditioner for my hair
i am planning a trip to the hair dresser next week or the week after…

not so good:
not drinking water
not exercising enough
not walking enough
not getting enough fresh air

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 07/12/2025 15:20

Dyed my brows

Couldn't get hold of my usual Superdrug hair dye but I have some Bleach London toner/dye which is nice , I'll use that .Hair dye next week.

Used exfolliant on my face so my skin feels nice Xmas Grin I'll do a facemask next week, I think my skin would scream and run away if I did too much too quickly !
Working my way through my Advent Calendar for extra incentive

ChiaraMontague · 09/12/2025 10:53

Getting my eyebrows done tomorrow (shape and tint) and hair cut and highlights done, I’ll also get a gloss treatment at the same time.

We've got a photographer coming into the office on Thursday to do some professional photos for us - I’m glad I made a bit of an effort with princessing this month! I’m going to get my makeup done in the morning so I feel a bit more confident - and I need to replace some of my makeup anyway so it works out quite nicely

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 13/12/2025 20:18

Dyed my hair ( I used Bleach London toner as I had a couple of half bootles loitering in the bathroom) Really like the dye but the bottles take a lot of shakin'n'squeezin' !

We were out last night in London so a lie in this morning , nothing else done except the hair dye , shower , rubbed a bit of cream on, brushed teeth.

I've ordered some nice toiletries for myself for Christmas

LivingDeadGirlUK · 13/12/2025 22:08

I've been getting biab nails and I love how long they last and how polished it makes me look.

I'd like to learn how to contour my makeup, not sure what product to start with.
