Princessing for Christmas 2025

estellacandance · 09/09/2025 10:00

I haven’t seen a princessing thread for ages.

I feel like my self care has been sidelined this year.
My skin, weight and mental health have suffered the most.

So my list to prioritise:
Bed by 11, sleep by midnight
Remove make up at night
Night cream/retinol
Use my LED machines!
Hyaluronic serum in the morning
More frequent & thorough teethbrushing & use whitener.
Have water with me all the time
Take vitamins/supplements with my breakfast.
Daily stretches/yoga inc breath work
Outdoors every day, more forest bathing/blue space.
Drink green tea
Daily smoothie, raw veg & more fruit.
Weekly coconut hair mask.
Pelvic floor exercises 3 times a day
Morning Pages
Read from a book every evening
Squats amap
DIY mani/pedi inc self reflexology/Shiatsu
Reduce UHP foods/drinks
Daily relaxation/meditation with music/incense

Who wants to join?

What are your goals?

@fruitbowl100 Get new pants that YOU like. You matter more especially if dh doesnt care!

my life is a bit shit at the moment… DP is looking at couple therapy….
but im trying to lean on all the good things i have in life and that includes my fantastic body that made three beautiful babes! I have also been accepting help (at work, twice, with friends also) instead of saying no thank you im fine: very proud of myself.
. not enough water today
. still need to book that hair dresser
. still need to book the pelvic floor specialist
. slept only 3 hours last night due to thpughts running around my head

but well done me on calories, exercise, work, vitamins, night serum for hair, retinol last night and home cooked meal

Carriemac · 25/09/2025 17:23

I’ve
made a brow lamination appt
made a pelvic floor physio appt
had two days away at a spa with friends

but been rubbish for exercise - booked spin for tomorrow but I’m afraid 😟 I’m so unfit

GameOfJones · 25/09/2025 18:24

An update on the past few days:

✅ I've averaged my 10k steps a day

✅ Did a yoga session

✅ I've been enjoying reading my book before bed. So much that I actively want to go to bed early so I can read!

✅ Consistent with skincare

✅ Continued the daily detox shots. I finished the ginger one and am onto a lemon one now which I can't say is pleasant 🤣. It tastes like I've just squeezed a whole lemon into my mouth but it's got added vitamins. Still undecided whether this will help but it can't hurt and I'm trying a new flavour each week at the moment. Turmeric and carrot possibly next week......yay?? 😟

❌ I've eaten over my calories. Need to get that back under control as I'd put on 1lb this week and after losing over 4st I want to maintain that!

❌ I haven't been flossing. Will go and do it now.

Doseydots · 25/09/2025 19:35

Good evening, I am just catching up, I’ve had a sickness bug so have been off track. I will be back on tomorrow and I am prepping tonight for tomorrow, I find if I organise my evening, the following day flows better.

estellacandance · 26/09/2025 16:06

Back to a bit of yoga today but went out without spf moisturiser for the first time.

Getting out for a short walk every day but not step tracking as that would make me feel like a failure as it will only be a few thousand.
My water intake has dipped but I am having more decaf tea and smoothies so at least keeping hydrated.
Im finding having more baths with exfoliating & face masks easier to maintain as a new routine. I’m sure my skin has improved.
My reading and writing time has also kept up.
Im taking extra portions of veg at lunch and dinner eg a bowl of spinach if im having a sandwich.
My teeth are also getting plenty of attention!

I have bought myself the Rituals Advent Calendar , I love the Sakura fragrance so it seems like a nice idea to get some travel sizes and some of their others.

Soooo my Princessing for December will have a head start .

Doseydots · 26/09/2025 19:13

I am so tempted by the rituals calendar. I keep having a little nosey

GameOfJones · 26/09/2025 21:05

I'm also extremely tempted by the Rituals advent calendar as I have a bit of an addiction to their stuff! Particularly the face washes and shower foams but I love pretty much anything Rituals do.

I'm trying to save money at the moment though. Maybe I need to drop some serious hints to DH as it's my birthday soon....

Doseydots · 27/09/2025 19:46

How’s everyone doing over the weekend? I find it easier as DH is working and dd’s are out most of the day, I did the park run this morning which gave me the incentive to have a healthy day.

NiceUnusualDifferent · 27/09/2025 19:46

Just checking in. Managed most of my list and have stuck to fibre and calories. Failed on the daily steps so going to try and focus on that this coming week.
Got some new work clothes and had a bit of a wardrobe clearout.

tostaky · 27/09/2025 20:14

Life is throwing me lots of curveballs at the moment but I am trying to remain calm. Eating is good (thanks mounjaro), i went to a fitness class this morning, skincare is good too. I made an appointment with womens physio for mid October. Will have my weekly everything shower tomorrow evening.
need to drink more water
need to get off my phone (but stops me thinking)
need to book hairdresser

GameOfJones · 28/09/2025 07:48

Sorry about all the curveballs @tostaky .... it sounds like you're doing well in the circumstances.

I had my weekly everything shower yesterday. I did a scalp scrub, body scrub, face wash, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shave and then applied body lotion, foot cream and three facial serums. My goodness I felt better afterwards! It is amazing what just 20 minutes of self care can do.

I'm trying to use up some products. I'm a bad one for buying beauty products that end up not really working for me. It has taken a bit of trial and error but I've now found facial serums and moisturisers etc that I really like but it's left me with plenty of opened items that have been languishing in cupboards and taking up space.

I've decided my everything shower is the time to use them. For example I'd bought a face cream that is far too rich for me and broke me out in spots so I used it as a foot cream yesterday then popped some socks over the top. I feel better that they won't go to waste or just get thrown in the bin.

petitpasta · 28/09/2025 18:22

Positive week mostly for me

Things I am doing well with

Proper wind down routine - this has made a huge difference. Now not using ceiling lights much, candles lit when I can, no news scrolling, reading before bed

Bed by 11, lights out by 11.30 - every day this week. First week in a long time when I've had a full week of a proper sleep schedule

Evening skincare - following a tip on this thread I am now doing this earlier in the evening and it's made such a difference.

Improve water intake at weekends - now using the water bottle I use weekdays at the weekend too which is helping remind me to drink water

Wear dresses and skirts - definitely achieving this

Plan outfits weekly on Sunday nights - keeping this up as it really helps the mornings run more smoothly

Breakfast smoothie outside unless raining - had a couple of days out with work but otherwise I am keeping this up

4 gym classes or online replacement - 3 gym classes and a walk this week.

Less good progress:

Reduce phone time - Vinted is my nemesis!

No progress:

Complete sewing project - really need to get on with this as it's Christmas themed! I'm away with work this week so I will pack it and see if I can make progress while I'm away

LBB2020 · 29/09/2025 11:24

Last week was just ok, food choices and lack of exercise not great but I’ve taken vitamins/supplements daily and have gone to bed half hour earlier (could do with bringing forward by another 30 minutes really).
Going to do a YouTube exercise video sometime today and try to get my diet back on track. Happy Monday everyone!

Oifeathers · 29/09/2025 12:18

this could not have come at a better time!

my princessing list:

lose 1/2 stone by December

sort a capsule wardrobe and winter coats & boots (I put away winter/summer wardrobe when out of season).

once a week

  • Use Philips Lumea
  • bath with deep conditioning hair treatment, exfoliate and body oil after
  • Home manicure with nail glow
  • pilates or yoga in person class
  • get dressed up and go in the office
  • me-time session 1 hour minimum on my day off, to sit and read a book, nap, basically NO ‘DOING’ things

3 times a week

  • bed by 9.30
  • early morning exercise
  • tret applied
  • use lash serum

daily

  • phone away an hour before bed
  • drink x2 of my water bottles
  • reduce UPF
  • mobilise stretching
tostaky · 29/09/2025 21:19

body scrub
nails

Doseydots · 01/10/2025 06:50

Good morning, I have had a bug for a few days and fallen off track a little. I am back on it today and eager to go.

Anybody know what day we are on?

Doseydots · 02/10/2025 05:53

Good morning, yesterday was a good day, most of my list done. I went on a 4 mile dog walk which really blew away the cobwebs and today I feel so good for it. Have a good day princesses

tostaky · 02/10/2025 06:04

Glad to hear you are feeling better @Doseydots
work is hectic + home is difficult (DS mh and thinking of separating from DP). Not really feeling like a princess at the moment! But i am trying my nest.
no everything showers as my heart is not in it but basic stuff like skincare, flossing and all my medical appointments (women physio, hygienist, hairdresser).

I am late to this thread. I get the basics fine but struggle with extra now I am full time with DC and have work (marking) to do 3/7 evenings. My main thing is not exercising or stretching abd I have lots of aches and pains as a result.

But love this thread and am committing to:

  1. Exercise twice per week.
  2. Light weights 3x per week.
  3. 10 sit ups/ press ups every other day.
  4. Cleanse/tone/moisturise consistently twice per day (do this already really).
  5. Purchase new serum to add to routine for winter.
  6. Floss 5/7 at least.
  7. Cut down on choc biscuits??
  8. Consider my self-care as equally important as the care I extend to the children I teach and my own children - that’s a hard one.

I love the number 8 on your list. I always find I feel bottom of the pile, when I should be higher up.

Cant drink from an empty cup 🙂

I need to add ‘mindful breaks during working hours’ to my list’
