Princessing for Christmas 2025

estellacandance · 09/09/2025 10:00

I haven’t seen a princessing thread for ages.

I feel like my self care has been sidelined this year.
My skin, weight and mental health have suffered the most.

So my list to prioritise:
Bed by 11, sleep by midnight
Remove make up at night
Night cream/retinol
Use my LED machines!
Hyaluronic serum in the morning
More frequent & thorough teethbrushing & use whitener.
Have water with me all the time
Take vitamins/supplements with my breakfast.
Daily stretches/yoga inc breath work
Outdoors every day, more forest bathing/blue space.
Drink green tea
Daily smoothie, raw veg & more fruit.
Weekly coconut hair mask.
Pelvic floor exercises 3 times a day
Morning Pages
Read from a book every evening
Squats amap
DIY mani/pedi inc self reflexology/Shiatsu
Reduce UHP foods/drinks
Daily relaxation/meditation with music/incense

Who wants to join?

What are your goals?

What time do you get up in the morning? I’m up for 6.30 so ideally I’d like to be asleep by 10.30… I think 8 hours is good to aim for.

I want to lose a bit of weight so that Christmas doesn’t make me even more obese!

Sort out teeth a bit (see dentist for implant) and brush more throughly with flossing at least once every day.

Drink water and eat clean.

Nice haircut.

Catpiece · 17/09/2025 18:40

Can I join? I think I’m doing ok at princessing. My normal routine is shower every day and wash hair. Full make up, blow dry. Earrings. Perfume. Always take make up off at night. Micellar water then vitamin E cream. Turn tv off about 11.15pm. Today I used Sanctuary Spa body scrub and shaved legs and underarms. I don’t drink much water tho and probs too many evenings not alcohol free. I’m loving reading everyone’s routines x

changedusername190 · 17/09/2025 18:56

I would like to join but I’m not sure where to start.Ive slipped into a no self care place.I’m going to have a think and start small.

PinballWizened · 17/09/2025 20:15

thank you @thesnailandthewhale really appreciate it! Hope your cold feels better soon.

@changedusername190 can you start with your fluffiest socks, or a hot drink, and work up from there?

Princessing for Christmas 2025
Umbongoumbongo999 · 17/09/2025 20:55

Progress Days 2 and 3
✅Morning skincare
Healthy lunch and dinner, fruit as snacks
Water target met
Finished work (wfh yesterday) on time and had a soak with face mask
Alcohol free, although I could go all in for a glass of wine right now. I'm having a Becks Blue instead for the placebo effect
Read my book
Practiced spanish

❌Accidentally stress ate half a bag of chocolate coated pretzels
Worked late, cross with myself, ate the pretzels
Underwear drawer remains unsorted
Only 3k steps today

Oh well, there's always tomorrow

Doseydots · 17/09/2025 21:21

A good day here, I don’t work Wednesdays and always seem to have a good day. I went for a swim this morning and Pilates tonight. Didn’t have any sweet cravings either.

This is what I have achieved from my list today:

  • Make up everyday
  • No S diet
  • Carry water
  • 7 hours sleep every night
  • Exercise everyday
  • Journal everyday
  • Meditate everyday
  • No screens an hour before bed
  • Read every day

I really fancy giving the winter tea a try, it sounds delicious.

lechatnoir · 17/09/2025 22:55

Day 2 has gone pretty well
2.5 L water done
face & hair mask
on plan food wise
morning run & stretches
added daily pelvic floor routine (femalephysioco on insta)

Fell a bit short on steps but otherwise feels good to have some focus and getting some good ideas here.

Doseydots · 18/09/2025 05:55

Good morning, I got my 7 hours sleep last night and feel ready to take yesterday’s energy into today. Have a good one Princesses 👸

GameOfJones · 18/09/2025 07:38

❌ A terrible day for me yesterday Princess-wise! Very stressful day at work so I didn't drink enough water and couldn't be arsed washing my hair when I got home from work so put dry shampoo in which I always hate because it makes my scalp feel clogged. I also did barely any steps as I was at my desk or in meetings most of the day.

On a positive note I did stay under my calories, stuck to my intermittent fasting and had a quick body shower.

I am expecting another busy day today but have tried to prepare better so I'm currently drinking my coffee with a candle lit in the living room, I've also planned a healthy dinner with chicken and lentils and have all of the ingredients in. I'm going to work from home so that even if I have to work late again I don't have the commute on top.

tostaky · 18/09/2025 08:06

@GameOfJones i hate how work gets in the way of Princessing!!! I have the same problem. Maybe real princess dont work?? 😂

Don't think of it as terrible. You stuck to your diet, which is the hardest thing to do when stressed. I would've completely caved, so well done!

ClearFruit · 17/09/2025 07:01

What on earth is princessing, and where do you all find the time?

If only there was a thread about it .......

changedusername190 · 18/09/2025 17:45

My achievements are nothing by other peoples but they are progress for me. Taken meds, bath and hair wash. I managed to blow dry my hair after months of going to bed with wet hair and wore make up today. Thanks for this post it’s inspirational.

tostaky · 18/09/2025 20:00

@changedusername190 well done on blow drying your hair? I wish i knew how to do it… it is a skill i have yet to master!

Today I…
. stuck to my calories and resisted the sweets in the office (and the scales showed a loss this morning)
. took my vitamins
.drunk loads of water
. homemade dinner (slow cooking feels like cheating because its so easy but it works!)
. Skincare routine
. did not buy anything (apart from petrol)
. put on the clothes i had got ready for myself last night

Dinner is done and im about to have a nice shower, it’s retinol day for my face, then i can go to bed and read and do my pelvic floor execise

i did not do my steps 😰

Doseydots · 18/09/2025 21:12

A successful day here. Did most of my list, however the homemade soup for lunch and veggie curry for tea have given me terrible wind. I bet real life princesses don’t smell this rancid 😷

petitpasta · 18/09/2025 22:26

Successes

Evening skincare
Water intake
Proper wind down routine
Bed by 11, lights out by 11.30
Wearing outfits I have planned in advance
Exercise 4 x per week - two swims done, another booked for 7am plus yoga and pilates classes booked for the weekend

Partial success

Breakfast smoothie outside unless raining, missed this morning due to swim

Work needed on

Complete sewing project
Reduce phone time

Doseydots · 19/09/2025 05:52

Like most of us I’m finding some of my goals more achievable than others!
My walking/outdoors time has improved. As has my skincare routine. My skin already looks calmer.
I also had another everything bath last night.
My mood does seem to have lifted.

But I’ve missed 2 days of vitamins, struggle on the water, still don’t eat enough veg - none at all yesterday.

But that’s what this is for- trying to work at breaking bad habits and creating new good ones. It will be a bumpy ride. I think it helps seeing us all in the same boat, having different goals & all having successes & struggles.

its been a busy morning at work which has prevented a sugar craving. However lunch will be left over veg curry💨
