Princessing for Christmas 2025

estellacandance · 09/09/2025 10:00

I haven’t seen a princessing thread for ages.

I feel like my self care has been sidelined this year.
My skin, weight and mental health have suffered the most.

So my list to prioritise:
Bed by 11, sleep by midnight
Remove make up at night
Night cream/retinol
Use my LED machines!
Hyaluronic serum in the morning
More frequent & thorough teethbrushing & use whitener.
Have water with me all the time
Take vitamins/supplements with my breakfast.
Daily stretches/yoga inc breath work
Outdoors every day, more forest bathing/blue space.
Drink green tea
Daily smoothie, raw veg & more fruit.
Weekly coconut hair mask.
Pelvic floor exercises 3 times a day
Morning Pages
Read from a book every evening
Squats amap
DIY mani/pedi inc self reflexology/Shiatsu
Reduce UHP foods/drinks
Daily relaxation/meditation with music/incense

What are your goals?

I’ve fallen off the wagon. Had a difficult week or so. In survival mode. Managed everything bath yesterday & even did a diy manicure but scratched it off within hours.
Been relying on chocolate & wine as self care.
Feel malnourished & lots of aches and pains.
So can only improve from here!

@estellacandance dont worry abouth the blip, you are back that is what matters the most.

my skin feels so soft after a body scrub! I love it!
Done my exercise already, shower, skincare and then im going to the hairdresser this afternoon. A pretty good start of the weekend if i say so myself!

Doseydots · 04/10/2025 13:53

Don’t worry about blips, it’s a 100 day challenge so plenty of time to get back on track.

A good start to the weekend for me too. Dog walk completed and only healthy nutritious food has been eaten so far.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 04/10/2025 16:13

Body buffing with the long scrubby cloth and shower oil
Face exfoliant

Plan- use some toner at my roots , not full on dye just the bits that are looking a bit grey

Booked up#hair appointment
Dental appointment

LBB2020 · 05/10/2025 09:59

I’ve not had a great week either. Food choices have been a little better but I’ve done no exercise and have drank no water other than in the multiple coffees I’ve been drinking!
I'm going to have an everything shower and put on a face mask this morning and then we are taking the children out on their scooters so I should at least get some steps in today.
I am going to try to spend some time later planning my week so I can build in time for exercise around work and school runs etc

tostaky · 05/10/2025 10:29

My hairdresser appointment was a disaster! In the 20 years i have had highlights this is the first time i was told they didnt have what i wanted in stock and can i come back next week!! WTF?!! This was after they told me they had booked me only for the cut and blow dry and so can i have the cut first and do my highlights after?
out of rage i went to buy a box dye… will do it tonight after my hot yoga class - will report back! Havent done this for a good 25 years!!

JMAngel1 · 05/10/2025 18:01

Seriously place marking. I have fallen off every wagon going in the last 2 weeks and have to reset tomorrow.

Carriemac · 07/10/2025 06:59

Been away for the weekend for a black tie event and got a load of compliments on the night - so feel re inspired to keep going :)

estellacandance · 07/10/2025 23:16

Well done.

I do think my skin has improved. So many serums!

I am just catching up on the thread. I have lost what day we are on. Never mind though. I am doing ok with the princessing, some days I do better than others but I keep coming back and hoping that the small things turn into a habit. The biggest win for me is improving my sleep, it's making a huge difference to how I feel.

How did the hair dye go @tostaky ? That was shocking service from your hairdresser.

tostaky · 08/10/2025 07:57

The semi permanent colour is ok. It looks the right shade but i am not sure it covers the grey very well… i think i will experiment with a few different brands and things. It is SO cheap compared to the hairdressee! £6 a box! 20 minutes. Rather than £180 for 2.5hrs (ok incl. cut and blow dry and 1/2 head highlights). I might just keep the cut every 3 months and blow dry from time to time

Doseydots · 11/10/2025 13:32

How's everyone doing with their lists ?

tostaky · 11/10/2025 14:50

Ive given up! Life gets in the way too much. Also im not sure that pitting so many creams of my face is good, i think i have developed some kind of slight redness. Blaming all the various serums etc
so my princessing now is cut right back to pure olive oil soap for body and face. Simple moisturisers, spf if sunny and thats it.
i have kept up my exercise
i have been drinking lots of water
eating is generally good (thanks to MJ)
trying to sleep early
and to read!
women physio appt bookd for Monday morning

i dont feel like i want to add anything else
or maybe some clothes shopping in local charity shop rather than vinted (because im always disappointed!) and the windows of local shops are quite nice

tostaky · 11/10/2025 14:50

What about you @Doseydots

Doseydots · 12/10/2025 10:41

That sounds like a good list @tostaky . I am still doing the challenge, some days are better than others and I tick more off my list. But I intend to keep trying just to build momentum.

Carriemac · 13/10/2025 13:03

Profilio today and a bit of filler in my marionette lines . Cut and colour tomorrow, manicure Thursday . I’m off for a girls weeks Friday to celebrate my 60th so I’m going all out :)

GameOfJones · 15/10/2025 10:48

I'm doing ok in some areas and abysmally in others!

✅ Exercise is decent. I'm getting my steps in and did a bike ride yesterday.

✅ Still reading every night before bed.

✅ Consistent with daily skincare.

✅ Had my dental hygienist appointment.

✅ Sticking to the weekly everything shower. This has been great for me and something that I've actually stuck to so I know whatever else happens on a Saturday or Sunday I'm at least doing a body scrub, shaving, hair mask, lotion everywhere etc.

❌ My water intake has dropped off a cliff and I'm not sure why but I've been having far too much black coffee and not enough water.

❌ I cannot seem to get into a consistent routine of taking my vitamins.

❌ Diet could be better and I've put on 1lb this week so want to get on top of that because I know from bitter experience it can be a slippery slope!

Catpiece · 15/10/2025 15:38

I’ve managed a recent hair cut. Did my own colour a few shades darker blonde and I really prefer it to the lighter shade that I’d had for years. Using Sanctuary Spa Body Scrub most days. Trying to eat more vegetables. Always removed make up before bed but now I’m using a toner then putting on hyaluronic acid and vitamin E cream. Dunno what it’s doing but it makes me feel better knowing I’m doing it. Epic fails on water and exercise ☹️

ChiaraMontague · 16/10/2025 08:29

Haven’t been doing too well with my Princess list.

I’ve got a couple of appointments next week to get my hair and eyebrows done so I think I’ll have a Princess session this weekend and try to get back on track.

estellacandance · 17/10/2025 13:59

I’m back on track today. Vitamins. Everything bath. Nail polish. Serum. Water. No alcohol for a few days. Longer sleep. Lots of steps.

Plus-
Olaplex 0+3 on hair yesterday , just rinsed it so will shampoo/condition today
Found two of the Rituals Shower Foam in the drawer Xmas Grin
Bought nice waterproof chunky winter shoes

Plan Today-
Shower-With-Everything ( body scrub, face scrub, wash hair )
Might sort out some clothes as I have my AW clothes hanging up but not in any particular order , put a couple of things in the attic

Plan Going Forwards-
Book follow up dentist appointment
Got hair appointment booked
Dye hair after cut (I do my own , so need to buy dye)
Keep up with water

How’s everyone getting on?

Life as ever has got in the way but I’m definitely having more ‘everything’ baths, am taking better care of my skin etc. I’ve stuck to regular face masks & serums. Got myself the M&S advent calendar today.

I still need to up my exercise but I am stretching more than I did.

Im also drinking more water & eating more veg.

Still a long way to go but I feel like it’s the baby steps that start every journey…
