The regulars on the thread mainly discuss luxury BAC and this dies down by September when everyone has purchased and forgotten the contents. Then it goes into discussion on what’s selling out, what hasn’t and what deals and discounts to be had on ACs in the lead up to December. Then in December we move onto AC opening threads!

Not sure I have 24 items but could add a sweet/chocolate to each of the empty drawers.

I’d imagine that they didn’t make that many of the LF fragrance, and it being “sold out” so quickly creates a bit of panic which encourages people to buy the beauty one

@PluirinSneachta I think you are right regarding the fragrance advent when I looked at it , it said 734 had been bought in the last 48 hours which is nothing numbers wise to sell out on.

Place marking & avidly checking in case anyone spots a bargain🙂

Estimated delivery date was today but it's still showing as processing.

Have to say that I really don't like Gruum. Their soaps went slimy very quickly when I bought them last year. Reminds me of Dr Botanicals who say their soaps are £12.99 then stick them in the sale for less than two quid each. I also think I've been guilty in the past of buying 'bargain' advent calendars looking at you Nivea which are only worth it if you like all the products. I guess the same can be said of all of the AC's.

LF looks fragrance is great imo. Finally more female orientated and it's 24 days and no oud! I am really glad I ordered. I am hoping goldfield and banks is the new pacific flower and not ingenious ginger but either want looking forward

They did say shipping will start on 16th, even thought delivery date is earlier

I have jumped in and bought the Liberty today. Last year I economised with the JL one but it is so much more this year and for me has a number of items I really don’t want (eye creams, lip oils, red lippy, The Ordinary) and I am not sure they would sell so well either. Plus it is a lot more than last year, taking into close to Liberty territory.

I love the Vilhelm P fragrances so Liberty is a winner for me really. I might scour eBay for a few items from JL and Selfridges tho :)

ETA I won £225 on the P Bonds this week as well which decided me. I never spend my PB cash on myself.

Ah I see LF fragrance is sold out. Well I won't be buying that one as well then haha.

Interesting that it costs more than the LF beauty one but is "worth" a good deal less. Why is that (apols if already discussed on other thread and I missed it).

Oh now, the Lancome looks good! I'd just be buying the box though, if you can do that. I really like the Genefique serum and it has 20ml. The only thing I definitely wouldn't want is the red lipstick. 🤔

The Lancome Beauty Box is showing as £399 on John Lewis? I think I'm looking at the same box?

There's a pre requisite spend of £50 to be able to purchase the box for £90. Same deal as the Estee Lauder holiday set. This looks much nicer though.

That's probably the 'value' as you can only buy it for £90 if you make a purchase of £50 or over. So you have to factor that in to the spend. So £140 is the minimum you can spend and get this box.

Actually maybe that isn't the case. I got that information from BD site but the Lancome site lets me add to bag without a previous purchase.

I remember last year something similar with Elizabeth Arden. For a short period their blockbuster set was available to buy with any small purchase and stacked with multiple other offers.

EA honoured a lot of the sales, then knocked it on the head, if I remember rightly.

I've bought one for £76.50. Bargain! Well not really but it's only slightly more than the cost of the palette and I've had my eye on that for a while. It's being put away for Xmas though.
