The regulars on the thread mainly discuss luxury BAC and this dies down by September when everyone has purchased and forgotten the contents. Then it goes into discussion on what’s selling out, what hasn’t and what deals and discounts to be had on ACs in the lead up to December. Then in December we move onto AC opening threads!

@psuedocream3I would definitely order the fragrance cracker without knowing the contents. The last two years have been really good. I looked on the flannels website but could only see the main beauty cracker - am I missing something?

I agree @Doubleraspberry , it’s fun to chat about but I don’t want to buy stuff for Christmas until after bonfire night at least, so much stuff going on until then. So don’t appreciate the “preorder buy now sell out” marketing. But most people buy them as mega bargain boxes rather than ACs. I think a September purchase helps to keep it a surprise though. That’s why I’ve never had one before, it would get to December and the main ones would be sold out! And last year’s one was a pregnancy/mat leave pre order in August.

Slightly tempted by this on for the Kilian. I quite like the Apple Brandy scent. Don't exactly need it though.

I was thinking of buying the HN perfume advent originally, as that has a Kilian in too, but to be honest this looks better for me. The 7.5ml Kilians are usually around £39 so it seems quite good value. It'll save me a small fortune on buying the HN.

I don't think I will get it for now. I want to see what the LF fragrance offering is like and whether SNK do one. At the end of the day I've got a mountain of perfume coming via Harrods so a wise head needs to prevail.

I’ve been on these threads for years and really do love buying advent calendars but I don’t have huge disposable income, kids are still smallish, summer makes a lot of calls on my money and I try not to use credit cards ( slippery slope for me) so buying in September and October is massively easier for me. I don’t use them as beauty boxes so I don’t need them till December. I was also struck by the simultaneous Liberty advent/summer holidays kit releases! I found it all a lot more joyful when it was more seasonal for all those reasons.

Crikey. I had about six of those Juliette has a gun 5ml perfumes and I chucked them. Kept getting one in every bridal beauty box I ordered. I don't even think I bothered smelling them.

I don't think you can stack with fragrance shop but worth a try!

I added up potential costs for the Flannels men’s fragrance and made it worth around £89ish ( I think!). I know my son would love the Creed and it’s almost worth buying just for that, but can anyone who’s bought one confirm it’s good, some of the sizes (4.5ml!!) just seem tiny!! Like others, I tend to have 2-3 go to perfumes so for me small sizes of perfumes I haven’t smelt wouldn’t do it, but 16 yo ds would probably love? Thanks

M&S are doing an advent calendar this year according to Beautydetective. 25 products, 8 full size and worth £330. I can't see the price anywhere though.

It's on the M&S website too but no price. It does say "it features brands such as Clinique, Estée Lauder and Nuxe" though.

I think I could be swayed by M and S , if it's still at around the £50 price point , it does depend on the spend in store minimum though .

The Creed one was in the Harrods 2024 advent so there might be some still around on Vinted/Ebay. I bought the Graff perfume from the same advent last week on Vinted ...haven't even finished the first advent one yet but wanted a backup.

Selfridges looks a bit better now they've done the full reveal. I don't think it makes my shortlist but it's not too bad really.

Selfridges does look better now but it’s a bit make up and perfume heavy for me.
Harrods is my favourite of those that have been revealed so far, but I want to see what Space NK and John Lewis have to offer.
