Is this bag tacky?

I’ve had my eye on this bag for a while since the zip broke on my River Island cross body bag.

Basically I want a cross body bag with the wide strap as they are really comfy to wear.

I do like the colour/style, but I’m a bit unsure about the logo. I’ve never bought a bag with that price tag, always just River Island or Accessorize.

It's not leather, though is it? For that price, I think you'd find better at somewhere like T K Maxx - in leather (thinking of my Radley camera style bag for £80 from T K Maxx).

Oliver Bonas have loads with straps like this that I personally prefer - you do you though...

I don't think it's frumpy. It's fine. I just object to logos all over it - don't see why I should pay to advertise the maker.

I have a camera bag from Honey and Toast, it's like a TARDIS The bag strap is a standard leather one, but they sell thinker rope type straps separately if you want them.

Which did you go for?

I wouldn’t say no to the green one, but not the other.

I don't understand how people keep things in pockets, I need - house and car keys, purse, tissues, phone, travel pass, eye drops and chewing gum. My pockets would be bulging 😂

Not my cup of tea but not what I'd call tacky.

I was expecting diamantes and studs etc.

I ordered the City plus bag twice (!), in mint green and wasabi. You can never have enough green bags! There was a good offer on with extra straps, credit card holder, etc. They just looked really practical. Plus I have zero willpower. 😂

I love green but wear a lot of. Green dress so not sure if it would clash.

I agree with the wider straps and do think that bag is way too tacky and overpriced. I got mine, a Coach, tan very classic and sturdy wider strap bag, on Vinted for £100.

I do think it's quite tacky - sorry! The strap, the tag, and the logo.

Agree with this. I loathe noticeable logos on anything, but the shape looks fine, useful and comfortable.

Have you tried Perks on Instagram, or Facebook, it’s a little independent shop in Columbia Road, she does those bags and with a huge variety of colours and straps. Very reasonable price and excellent quality too

I quite like the Oliver Bonas cross body bags at the moment. Really good size and a nice range of colours. They also sell the interchangeable straps for them if you want a change.

I’ve got this exact one and love it! It’s really nice in real life too.

It's tacky. Something a girl would wear who's going on love island with plumped lips, or an essex teenage girl. you can do better x

Whistles do lovely camera bags without the flashy name strap

The bag is not frumpy it’s pretty much a popular bag by the look of it most supermarkets are selling them for about 20 quid but if you like it get it your never going to have everyone on here agreeing. This is why we are individuals with different tastes. They are practical and not too big or bulky.

What colour did you go for?

Just seconding Pom Pom London, the Mayfair which looks the same but Iess logoy and you get a leather strap plus a choice of 2 so you can pick ones to your style, wide or thin. Proper leather and they come in a range of colours, sizes and there are different styles too, I have 2 Mayfairs but I have my eye on the Lambeth.

The Lambeth, I have the green one, is the only one I feel is a bit over priced for what it is compared to the others. The leather is very thin and I don't like the faff with the inner bag . I just use it for going out . I'm hoping for the sling one for my birthday.
