Shiny new thread for those of us obsessed with perfume, or who aren't obsessed but just like wearing it.

I'm on the Byredo Gypsy Water this morning which I got in the box set of 3 minis. Lovely fresh citrussy scent which is a welcome change from the heavy vanilla and smoky spicy scents I've been into over the previous months. I am very seasonal with my perfumes so this is hopefully taking me in the direction of a long awaited spring. Let's see how long it lasts as Byredo are not known for their staying power.

Tried Kayali Deja Vu White Flower to work yesterday. First time using it from the edit I bought last year. Was pleasantly surprised, it's a nice office friendly scent and lasted well for Kayali as they can be hit and miss with longevity.

Hope this is the right place to ask, loved Paul Smith Rose which has been discontinued. Anyone got any recommendations for similar? Thanks.

I've never tried this one. I'm sure someone will have though.

I don't generally like rose scents but I tried Byredo Rose of No Man's Land at Xmas and was surprised how much I liked that one. I can't really say if it was similar though other than it's a rose scent.

Isn't Gypsy Water known as green vanilla/citrus type of scent? I like it a lot

I accidentally bought a dupe for Gucci Flora Gorgeous Jasmine when I was browsing in Aldi.

It is beyond gorgeous, I can't wait to hit summer smelling of verdant, heady bouquets!

And only 6.99 😊

It's funny as I tried it after Christmas and wasn't getting any vanilla but now I am. I love it, could be the new mojave ghost (.for me)

Miller Harris Secret Gardenia today. One of my favourites, a fresh version of a white floral.

I always seem to gravitate towards white florals in early spring, so spring must definitely be on the way!

I've got a little bottle of Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue, and wear it occasionally because it reminds me of my mum. I really miss her sometimes. 🙁

Penhaligon's Quercus. it's so much like CK one, that if I feel I need it I would just go for it. It's lovely but already done and available cheaply

Evening Scent is Matiere Premiere Crystal Saffron. This is such a weird one - beautiful saffron opening but goes quite synthetic on the dry down - very true to the name. Thought it was too ambrox-y at first but now I'm getting in to it. This seems a theme with Mat Prem - at first they can be a bit overwhelming or overly synthetic feeling. But some perfumes need a bit of time to get familiar with and this seems to be one of them. Very in keeping with the brand.

@ShushImTalking I miss mine too, hope the smell helps you.
My kids all commented how lovely I smelt today - Arran Aromatics, After The Rain.
Does anyone have any recommendations for Next perfumes?

MMM Lipstick On today. Not worn this for yonks. Quite artificial and plasticky but I rather enjoy it.

Ånd Beån today, after yesterday's Velvet Tonka Play-doh disaster! Much nicer treatment of tonka bean.

Very pretty, but reminds me of being 10 and wearing one of the Incense body sprays! Not necessarily a bad thing, of course.

Bois D,'ebene by matiere premiere. Lovely woody scent, slightly spicy but not harsh.

Men's Cool Water today, I wanted something fresh but unchallenging.

Still on the matiere premiere, crystal saffron on the other hand. It's quite linear, lovely opening but then that's the best of it and the dry down is musk/ ambroxan all the way. Not a complex scent. I do like it but I would get bored with more than a sample I think.

Givenchy L'interdit EDT for me today, at least in the morning - going out later it is likely to be different

I'm craving fruity scents at the moment for some reason!

Nothing today as I'm at a perfume making workshop where I get to make my own fragrance! Very interesting learning about the different accords, base heart top notes etc. Not sure my rookie fragrance will be any good but it's a fun experience.

Je Reviens Body Spray . Couldn't be bothered to choose on eof my samples today!!

4160Ts Aqua Tofana today. Inspired by the poison of the same name, it's a nice light fresh scent, almost aquatic, with an interesting artemisia note. I blind bought a proper bottle because it wasn't available as a sample, and while I like it quite a lot, I don't think I'll replace it when I run out.
