Gris charnel extrait today which I got from scentbox. It's the bolder, badder cousin of the original GC. Nice, but I must be going noseblind as it'd 30% extrait yet I can barely smell it an hour later. Think that's a me problem tho

Got free samples of glossier doux and rêve with an order so trying out doux today. It's nice enough but nothing remarkable. Will see how it develops over time

Sana Jardin's Venus of Verbena - goes on pleasantly like a nice citrus cologne, but seems to have turned into air freshener a few hours on.

SOTD Penhaligons The revenge of Lady Blanche - lovely powdery, iris, flowery scent.

SOTD Nishane Ani. Really enjoy this, good one for a day in the office and at meetings.

Sot evening grande mod vanilla. Relatively light, powdery vanilla with fruity notes. Perfect for transitioning from winter to spring

Bouquet de Hongrie BDK for me. I have few samples and will go to my wishlist bit I need to use up some of my similar perfumes first. I have Chanel Chance Eau de Tandre edp and edt so really don't need it, too similar

Glossier rêve today. When I read the notes I thought I would absolutely love this but it's a bit meh like doux was yesterday. I get a cherry chapstick type of scent from it. Havent tried the OG 'you' yet but going from these two newer releases, I'm not a fan

Wearing Orphéon by Diptyque today, as I received a sample.
I think it's cosy and romantic, but am not at all surprised as I tend to enjoy a soft, powderytype of scent if I'm in that kind of mood. I just don't think the name suits the fragrance, def don't get 'atmospheric bar' from this at all.

I've heard Chanel Chance Eau Tendre is similar to Mojave Ghost and threrefore BDH also ? Personally I think Mo Ghost is quite unique and not much like anything else, although of course there will be similarities. Maybe why I've never found a dupe for it that works.

Ffern autumn 24 (I think? from a tester) - spiced quince, a little smoke, very comforting.

Penhaligons Luna today for me, I had a test this morning so wanted something crisp and bright.

I got the air freshener vibe with this one and also berber blonde. Sana Jardin seem overpriced for what they are - top house prices but the quality is not there for me.

@Magpiecomplex I do like Ffern - when they're good they're very good, and I particularly like their summer/citrus/smoky/spicy variations.

@IDontHateRainbows so frustrating! I like Celestial Patchouli a lot but it feels like they're just not pushing the envelope in terms of what they could be doing.

Sana Jardin is on the same level as something like Floral Street for me. Perfectly pleasant but certainly not worth the massive price.

Floral Street you can get heavily discounted at times and a I love Arizona Bloom I rate them higher. Sana Jardin have such good ethics too teach women how businesses skills in countries plans for peefume oils are grown for thier products. I really wanted to like them but just didn't work for me

SOTD Radio Bombay by DS and Durga. Another grower! This is exactly why I bought this box set, experimental creative perfumes that break the mold.

It's got a weird metallic sensation, hence the reference to a radio i think, which wouldn't be for everyone but with coconut to soften it it works well and I like it.

Another one from this brand that's intriguing me is steamed rainbow, which smells exactly like after a rainstorm on a sunny day. I don't know how they do it!

Delina La Rosee for me, I think it's good one for St Valentines

SJ Tiger By Her Side today. I do like it but think I agree that it's just not quite as special as it should be for the price. Still, perfectly wearable.

My sample of Fragrance Du Bois Sirene arrived today and I have to say I'm a bit disappointed.. I had such high hopes as it gets rave reviews. It's quite a pretty cherry fragrance to start with but when it dries down it just smells like Oud to me.. perhaps it needs a couple more wears but initially I find it disappointing

Bought myself a Xerjoff sample set from them direct - I got Lira, Luna, Starlight and Dama Bianca. SOTD is Lira - I love it - vanilla, citrus then caramel. With the sample set you get a £25 voucher so basically the cost of the set to put towards a full bottle - its only the first one I've tried but think it will be a full bottle of this. Going to try Dama Bianca tomorrow.

SOTEvening Matiere Premiere vanilla powder. Sometimes I get a strong waxy sensation with this, other times pure deep vanilla. Tonight the latter, but bizarre how it can smell different on different days. Love this house, also had a spritz of crystal saffron passing selfridges earlier which is by the same brand. Gorgeous scent but goes very artificial/ ambroxan on the dry down. Ll in all an intriguing house. Perfumista do affordable samples but I'm on a samples break right now.
