Whistles Piper black boots?

I like both. My instinct is that the Whistles ones have a bit more chunkiness and now fashion cred, but the Hobbs ones might have more longevity precisely because they are a bit less overtly of the moment.

Thanks to this thread, I discovered the Hobbs Sawyer boots. I’ve been stalking them and finally purchased them today in the sale. Thanks for all being bad influences 😂

I have a bit of an aversion to fake lace boots. To me they either zip up or lace up and I don't like purely decorative laces. Same as the fake jumper/shirt combos. Fakery! Yuck.

Docs have become too ubiquitous and the quality has plummeted since manufacture moved to the far east. They masquerade as classic British when they are now anything but. For that style you're better off with Solovair or Lanx, both made in the UK to high standards and with great designs. Solovair's factory used to make the soles for Docs, and when they were left high and dry started making their own footwear. The styling and quality is considerably better.
But I don't think that's the vibe OP wants.
And gosh this is an old thread now. People are passionate about boots!

Lol. It appears so. I have no idea how people could even find my boots dilemma at this stage, much less post to de-zombify it.
