or

Whistles Piper black boots?

I like both. My instinct is that the Whistles ones have a bit more chunkiness and now fashion cred, but the Hobbs ones might have more longevity precisely because they are a bit less overtly of the moment.

I have these - bought them two years ago and they are still going strong. I wear them with dresses/skirts for work and with trousers/jeans and they go well with all. They are the most comfortable boots I’ve ever owned!

I've had my eye on the Derby boots for about a year. I'm having to sit on my hands as there's 20% off at the moment. So, so want the Antique brown.

Why wouldn't you just get Dr Marten's?

I've been looking at both these boots for a couple of weeks (waiting for Black Friday discounts) so very interested to hear what you think when you compare side by side. Have seen the Whistles boots in store and they looked great .

Many people don't like the look of them, don't want the agony of breaking them in or want to look part of that gang .
