I know its expensive, I know its "must have", I know she is a great designer... but I am not sure I like my new bag

DH bought it for me as a present

What do you think?

Is it me, or does it look a bit, well, tacky?

LadyMuck · 21/04/2008 18:34

Which colour?

pagwatch · 21/04/2008 18:34

ROFL at TMMJ

I think it is nice but it needs to stop fricking raining first.

beansmum · 21/04/2008 18:34

I don't like it much. But my favourite bag ever was £3 from matalan so I'm probably not the person to ask.

LittleMissTickles · 21/04/2008 18:35

Oooh, I think it looks soft and warm, I think I could sleep with it. And very pretty too. Wait for the weather to turn warm, you'll love it!

LaDiDaDi · 21/04/2008 18:35

I love it.

DANCESwithLordPottingtonSmythe · 21/04/2008 18:35

The metallic bit is a bit New Look. For that much I'd want to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!

Mamazon · 21/04/2008 18:35

its a nice bag.

i can see nothing about it that warrants such a price tag.

Its costs more than my car ffs

MrsMattie · 21/04/2008 18:36

It's a summer bag, definitely...[see summer bag thread for advice on when you are officially allowed to bring it out]

If you don't like it, tell him. £675 is a lot of money to spend on something you're 'meh' about.

MargaretMountford · 21/04/2008 18:36

don't like the metallic bits, but looks nice and soft but fuck me ..£675 !!

mazzystar · 21/04/2008 18:37

hmm don't believe the hype
very nice of your dh, but no, not sure i like it either

I like the way the picture twirls round when you put the mouse over it.

Unfortunately that's the only thing I like about it.

MascaraOHara · 21/04/2008 18:39

I don't like it but then I'm not overly keen on her as a designer.. I'd much rather have a Francesco Biasia or a Mulberry tbh..

I can see New Look and Top Shop being full of copies of something like that as well..

artichokes · 21/04/2008 18:39

It is very nice and soft.
He has bought it in grey.

Poor DH. It is our first wedding anniversary and I have morning sickness. He is trying sooooo hard. He has never bought me anything worth more than £75 before. He will have asked my BF to recommend a shop and then he will have gone there and paniced.

bringmesunshine · 21/04/2008 18:40

Honestly???? It doesn't look £675 worth....the mirror bits are a bit????

Why not swap it for a Mulberry bag instead? Did that once with a bag DH bought me which I use to death. Winter and Summer.

You don't sound sure and as DWLPS at that price you need to really love it.

FoghornLeghorn · 21/04/2008 18:40

I would want a hell of a lot more bag for my money !

MargaretMountford · 21/04/2008 18:40

can you swap it for this one ?

nailpolish · 21/04/2008 18:40

i really like it

MascaraOHara · 21/04/2008 18:41

Oh bless him.. in that case I might be tempted to keep my mouth shut

MargaretMountford · 21/04/2008 18:41

ooer bringmesunshine - great minds !

LittleMissTickles · 21/04/2008 18:41

I've just proposed to your bag. Sadly, it rejected me outright. Apparently not posh enough.

DrNortherner · 21/04/2008 18:42

I'm not keen on it tbh, sorry.

For £675 I would buy a Mulberry or a Belenciaga.

WaxOrNot · 21/04/2008 18:42

Bless your dh. He sounds fab!

I love it.
