I think there was one a few months/weeks back but can't find it, so apologies if doubling up.
What perfume are you wearing today?
I will wear Atelier Cologne Trefle Pur in hope it will actually be warm today.

Erba Pura for me today -a light touch with the spray though as it is very strong! I do like the dry down though and it lasts for ages so I won't need a touch up spray for hours.

paristotokyo · 04/12/2024 09:51

Granado boemia today

QueefofSheena · 04/12/2024 09:52

Today for me is Nest’s Lychee Rose. I have a small roller bottle I found from a CB edit earlier in the year. I like it, very sweet at first with the lychee but it settles down nicely.

Agree with you, very light spray and it's lovely. Normal spray would feel way too much - its' so strong!

I only had a little spray for a sample but I thought it's pretty and I put it in my to try in sprint time box. I have two samples from recent cult beauty scent gwp

Ds Durga I don’t know what. I like this, DH not keen as he can’t smell it. he’s gone back to Hwyl by Aesop

Feeling better today, I have chosen Killian Angels Share as I can appreciate the scent properly now

AprilLady · 04/12/2024 12:49

SOTD Frederic Malle Une Rose. Strong, slightly spicy, slightly boozy rose with good projection and longevity. Love it.

MiaN · 04/12/2024 12:57

Gris Chatnel again today

What’s Angel Share like? Is it primarily a winter fragrance?

happytobemrsg · 04/12/2024 14:04

SOTD is Penhaligon Empressa. I was gifted a Trade Routes Discovery Set when I bought Halfeti on Monday. I like it & will see how it wears throughout the day. I’m hoping the dry down is a bit spicier than it is now. That seems to be my preference at the moment.

psuedocream3 · 04/12/2024 14:15

@happytobemrsg It's a hard one for me to describe, it's not like other perfumes I've tried. It does have a cognac main note to begin with but not in an awful overpowering alcohol way, sweet but not sickly sweet, like mixed with honey. The dry down is lovely, less cognac but like a slightly boozy slightly fruity syrup-y scent, others describe it as a slightly boozy cinnamon apple pie. I don't think the apple comes off too strong, there is a sweet fruity scent but not like crisp apple, it smells more like a faint mince pie filling to me, that kind of fruitiness.

It's definitely a cosy scent that goes well with the winter, festive vibe. I've seen some people say that they go for killians apple brandy on the rocks in warmer months. I guess that makes sense as the notes will be similar but has more of a pineapple note?

MiaN · 04/12/2024 14:22

I really like pehaligon's scents on skin. I wish they last longer but I think it's the type of scents Ilike in general have some longevity issues.

Perhaps I’ll try to order a sample of both of those, thank you! I love Halfeti and I’m hunting for a lighter version for spring/summer. Tough when spicy tends to be for colder weather

Halfeti lasted a good 12 hours on me on Monday! Wearing Empressa today to see how long that lasts

hughiedoesntfight · 04/12/2024 15:01

I have ordered myself some test strips.

Second time in 10 days I have made myself ill trying a perfume on skin.

First time was silky woods elixir and last night with Sarah baker peaches revenge. Both made my stomach turn and neither would wash off. I ended up in bed with headache and feeling sick last night. And could still (faintly) smell it. I also had a sniff of Sarah Baker Loudo. Didn’t like that either.

I have noticed both have orris root in them. I am wondering if it’s that, that makes me feel ill.

At least if I put them on a test strip I can throw it away if I don’t like it. Rather than have the smell wafting about me for hours

spikeandbuffy · 04/12/2024 15:04

I've tried angels share for the first time and my god I'm in love
It's absolutely beautiful and I want to smell like this forever

spikeandbuffy · 04/12/2024 15:05

To me it smells like an apple and sultana and cinnamon pie with vanilla custard

IDontHateRainbows · 04/12/2024 15:19

Have revised my view on the vanilla 28. Strong at first, it dries down into a lovely lasting vanilla, not overly sweet has a bitnif depth to it. I'm still not keen on the other vanillas in the set but the 28 is definitely a keeper.

MiaN · 04/12/2024 15:20

Angel's share is apple pie with some cognac/boozy notes. Boozy notes don't stick around for long on my skin. I loved it last year but I completely overdosed - it's very addictive this time of the year. I still like it on others. I used it so much last year, went through few decants.

Apple Brandy is very fresh, to my nose they are similar only in that they have boozy element. Apple brandy is more cologne like to my nose, fresh and boozy vs sweet and boozy. If given the choice for full bottle I will go for apple brandy, as I tend to prefer fresher scents most of the year but i would be honestly delighted with either if it was a gift!

That sounds awful! Test strips are a great idea

happytobemrsg · 04/12/2024 15:39

@spikeandbuffy Well that’s a ringing endorsement!! BTW I love your username

@MiaN I don’t think I like fresh. I tend to like floral/spicy. Which of the two do you think I’d like best?

psuedocream3 · 04/12/2024 16:00

@MiaN it's interesting so many people smell apple pie, I've read alot of people say this but there isn't actually any apple notes in this perfume. Maybe it's the cinnamon and the cognac scent giving those vibes?. Definitely more mincep pie filling/christmas cake/christmas pudding to my nose, but either way, it's very indulgent and a lovely perfume.

For anyone who likes Angel’s Share, Sticky Dates shower gel from Lush is in the same vein (and a lot cheaper!).
