Aged 46, size 8. Wedding in Sept. Is it a bit prom like, youthful, mutton / lamb?

It’s perfect.

CyanideShake · 22/06/2024 21:32

Not at all.

I was expecting something frou frou but that's lovely and understated.

IfIGoTiAnotherWedding · 22/06/2024 21:33

It’s not any of those things! Very nice. Have you tried it on?

SGsling · 22/06/2024 21:33

Gorgeous.

AsparagusGirl · 22/06/2024 21:33

No, very classy. I am sure it will suit.

SkalengeckOrSiegbarste · 22/06/2024 21:34

It's beautiful. Wear it!

Nectarinesarenice · 22/06/2024 21:34

Beautiful dress, very elegant and how can you be too old for that?

Fudgetheparrot · 22/06/2024 21:34

No it’s beautiful

MistressOfCopperMountain · 22/06/2024 21:35

I have already body this but went to the venue today and feel like I have underperformed. https://www.ghost.co.uk/grace-dress6-d04g010-m12

It’s a beautiful stately home but I bought a cheap dress because I could not find anything that was right and didn’t cost £2k. Realising now my dress is cheaper than cake or corkage and feel a fool. It’s too late to get anything special…

It’s absolutely stunning. Very classy.

Dillydollydingdong · 22/06/2024 21:36

It's lovely.

RiverF · 22/06/2024 21:36

I think both are lovely, but the first is better and not at all what I was expecting from your description.

Attictroll · 22/06/2024 21:37

Both lovely but prefer the first one and think it's very special and classic

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 22/06/2024 21:39

Wedding dresses do not need to cost a fortune! Wear what you feel confident and beautiful in.

saveforthat · 22/06/2024 21:40

The second one looks awful on the model, probably because she is so flat chested. The first one is lovely.

Gowlett · 22/06/2024 21:42

I love the first one. I didn’t wear a wedding gown, either.

Chocolately · 22/06/2024 21:46

The lace one is gorgeous.

Clingfilm · 22/06/2024 21:46

First one is absolutely beautiful, sort of modest but not 🙂 second one doesn't even look good on the model, sorry 😳
Congrats on the upcoming wedding!

Twinstudy · 22/06/2024 21:49

It's perfect for what you describe (or anything actually it's so pretty 😍)

Molone · 22/06/2024 21:50

They are both lovely, I prefer the first but think the second would look lovely on a “regular” person too.

CurlyhairedAssassin · 22/06/2024 21:50

Absolutely love the first one. So classy - perfect. Second one - it needs a big pair of boobs to look even half way good - it just hangs.

Fairygoblin · 22/06/2024 21:50

First one is entirely appropriate and as you're a size 8 it'll look amazing!
(Second pic.... noooooo!)

sprigatito · 22/06/2024 21:51

The first one is gorgeous, classy and timeless. I don't think you could be too old or too young for it. The second one isn't to my taste but it's not horrible.

Snippit · 22/06/2024 21:59

Love, love, love the net a porter dress, so elegant. The ghost one reminded me of a nightie. Victoria Beckham wore a satin slip to her sons wedding, I thought it looked vile, she’d gone in her nightie 🤣

Berlinlover · 22/06/2024 22:01

It’s beautiful but anyone over 35 shouldn’t wear white (I’m aware that my opinion is controversial).
