Is this nice or is it horrible? I think it’s nice but given it’s from per una (where fashion goes to die) I worry I’ve had a knock to the head

It's not something I'd choose. It's a bit fussy and the shape is too boxy for me. But if you like it, wear it!

pizzaHeart · 19/04/2024 22:14

I saw it in the shop and didn’t like it much but it’s completely not my style, colour and shape wise. You might be ok.

OmniPresents · 19/04/2024 22:34

Don't like it either - don't like the print or the shape.

There's much nicer jackets out there.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/04/2024 22:35

Try it on and see what you think. It’s one of those things that could be good and could be awful, but you definitely shouldn’t let the label be the deciding factor.

BabarEnFamille · 19/04/2024 23:11

I thought the same when I saw it on insta this morning, still can’t decide if it’s lovely or fugly

Purpleavocado · 19/04/2024 23:15

I like it on the model, but she's tall. I think it could look boxy on a shorter person. Don't worry about labels!

pictoosh · 19/04/2024 23:24

I'd like it more if it wasn't white.

Homebird8 · 19/04/2024 23:27

My mum made herself and my sister and me jackets like this in the mid 1970s. They were soft and warm. Amazing what comes around again.

Supersimkin2 · 19/04/2024 23:31

Yikes. It’s lovely.

Must book tickets for Mamma Mia & take BFF to the older persons’ coffee morning.

Marcipex · 19/04/2024 23:32

I don’t know what that creature on the sleeve is, but I know I don’t like it.

Fleetheart · 19/04/2024 23:34

I think it looks really nice 🙂

benefitstaxcredithelp · 19/04/2024 23:34

It’s lovely. But seems you’re not alone as it’s almost fully out of stock!

LaWench · 19/04/2024 23:36

It's nope from me, it's giving me Moldovian traditional folk dress vibes.

wednesdaywoes · 19/04/2024 23:37

I love it!

Ruthietuthie · 19/04/2024 23:44

I love it. Pair with wide leg jeans, a brightly colored trainer. It would look amazing.

TheLastPictureShow · 19/04/2024 23:45

I love the 70’s vibe of it, but I don’t like that the stitching style looks a bit cheap and there’s an incomplete pattern around the collar/on the shoulder seams (it should continue all the way around!)

AllTheChaos · 20/04/2024 01:21

I can see that on the right person, this would look lovely. I also know that it would look terrible on me, which is a shame as I love boho styles, but they NEVER suit me.

Having said that, Per Una? Time to invest in carpet slippers and a nice little retirement flat in Bournemouth 😆 (No cess to anyone from Bournemouth, my tongue is v firmly in my cheek for this one!)

Guavafish1 · 20/04/2024 05:23

I love per una! The clothes quality is really good

motherofkevinnotperry · 20/04/2024 05:37

I think you might be mistaken. It reminds me of something my Aunt would have worn. She also had frilly bed valences, curtain pelmets and toilet roll doll covers. She would wear this while hand cutting flowers from her garden and placing them in a trug while her gardeners did the real work.

Sorry but no.

If you like it, buy it. Don't worry about the label.
It's 100% cotton, which is a pleasant change from all the polyester around.

What would you put on your other foot?

KateDelRick · 20/04/2024 05:56

The Wyse ine is worse, it's a less attractive pattern and completely shapeless. The M&S one is fine.
