WTF - Horseshoe Jeans

I’m still not over how bad Mom jeans look on most people. I accept skinny jeans are over, I am happy in my straight legged jeans. But all over my instagram feed are these new ‘horseshoe’ jeans. That basically make you look like you have bandy legs? Just why?

I know I don’t have to wear them I am just despairing of all these awful jeans trends.

I do love a flare. I shall stick with that.

I don’t mind them but was already fully on board with barrel legs so not a mile away.

Fair play if you can carry them off!

I do like wide legged trousers but there’s just so much material with these.

Those Warehouse ones look better. The ones I’ve seen on my feed have huge amounts of material in the middle.

I don’t think Warehouse sell anything full priced anymore. Surely everyone waits a couple of weeks for all the ex Arcadia brands to go ‘in the sale’. Maybe that’s just me 😝

I wore mine the other day and saw some when I was looking at sandals today so definitely not over.

I guess there’s different levels of ‘horseshoe’.

I tried on seven pairs of jeans before going to the pub on Saturday night because I've never quite worked out what tops/shoes to wear with most styles, and ended up in skinnies, along with I'd say 90% of the women in the pub. If they were ever over no one told the women round here.

The industry (whose aim is to sell you more clothes) have been trying to kill them off for about 15 years now, but they remain the biggest selling style.

So if you want to wear a different cut, because that's your preferred personal style, then enjoy them (and be glad that so many versions co-exist).

But If you like the classic simplicity of a skinny shape that follows the natural outline of the body, keep wearing that

They just come up with a different shape of jeans every year to get us to part with our money.

Gosh they are awful. Long live the skinny jean! I am far too old to wear the horseshoe jean - guess they'll be 5 minute wonders.
