@Peridot1 I'm a bit confused with the AHC eye cream for face... unless other people have eyes elsewhere?! Or is it one of those trendy labels, and you can use it all over? I think I'm a bit old and literal for that type of marketing! Grin

@Experiment627 out of interest, what will you be using instead of the Redken shampoo?

Peridot1 · 12/12/2023 09:21

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants - I know! Apparently customers of the company liked their eye cream so much they wished for something similar for the face so the eye cream for the whole face was born. I tried it as a moisturiser but it wasn’t hydrating enough for me. So just used as an eye cream. Not something I would buy again.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 12/12/2023 11:32

@Peridot1 thanks for the explanation. Makes slightly more sense now! Grin

Experiment627 · 12/12/2023 11:58

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants I am using the new Timotei!!! And so far, so good!!!!

Fanks @Experiment627 , a familiar name shampoo.

MyRabbit79 · 13/12/2023 21:42

A few more empties, mainly sample sachets:

Trinny London cream eyeshadow in Wisdom. Really nice colour, just the right amount of sheen. Would buy if I ever use up my huge amount of eyeshadows.

Summer Fridays light aura eye cream. Nothing remarkable

Nuxe day cream. Nice thick texture which I like. Wouldn't buy at full price though.

Garnier day cream. Weird gel texture. Not for me.

Kiko eyebrow pencil. Have bought a few times and will RP. Good cool colour.

Couple of empties (helped along by DD1 moving today.)
Lador LPP Shampoo & Treatment. Okay but not as good as the Korean one I wish I’d ordered instead.
About 12 sachets of various Kerastase and Oribe shampoo/conditioner, etc. Smell fabulous (esp the aqua Kerastase one)but again, have had better.
Bottle of Guerlain Mandarine Basilica from the Aqua Allegoria range. Scrumptious. Would repurchase but $$$. Am eyeing off the Pamplelune one (grapefruit) that I have seen for less instead. Wish there was a way of making frangrances that are light and fresh like these last longer. My two faves in this range are Herba Fresca and Orange Soleia. They can be used together as well.
I finished another Beauty of Joseon Sun Serum. I love this product and have discovered that I can skip moisturiser if I use this. It really suits my skin and have another ordered. Also their first rice probiotics one, which I will probably open first. I actually ordered these weeks ago and still bloody waiting. I realised that I have form for opening new sunscreens before I have finished the ones I have already. I am going to be good and wait until I am finished ALL of my open ones. (Haven’t counted. There are at least three, but they are all running low.)
A cream blush from Japanese company Canmake. Was okay. Colour was good. Haven’t found a lasting cream blush yet. Won’t repurchase because am looking for similar in powder format.

OchonAgusOchonOh · 13/12/2023 23:29

Glow recipe niacin amide serum. I liked this but it was much smaller than it looks. Only lasted a couple of weeks.

@Fraaahnces stay strong with the sunscreens xxx

I shall!!!The order I’m waiting is coming with cleansing balm and if it’s not here soon I’m going to have to crack and buy from a physical shop!

Thereislightattheendofthetunnel · 14/12/2023 11:18

Some empties here!

Cien sensitive cleansing foam. Was ok. Smells pleasant but I don’t think I will RP as I want to try other options better suited for me. My DD has been using it too.

Lacura overnight facial spritz. It burns my face. May be that the essential oils are too strong. Lovely smell and relaxing. Have other 2 that I will use as spray pillows as it is clearly not suited for my skin.

Baylis and harding royale garden shower gel. Gloopy and runny. This is a reminder for myself not to buy this crappy gift sets even if on offer. The quality is awful and didn’t do anything for me. Sadly I bought some more that I will have to use up.

Idylle edp by Gerlain. Lovely soft and gentle perfume.

Youth concentrate TBS. Too little a sample to comment.

Cussons peony and Cherry blossom handwash. Lovely smell. Would RP at some point when I finish all my had washes that is

Calcot spa calm body and hand lotion. Absolutely loved it. Great smells, uplifting. Absorbs well. Would Rp

Gillet fusion. It works for my DH but he prefers nivea as a shaving cream.

Rituals homme shower foam. Lovely. I would RP

Femfresh daily wash. Not that I need a specific shower gel for my lady bits but the smell reminded me of classic soap. I really liked it. Does not irritate. Would RP.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 14/12/2023 13:31

I used a Balance me hydralonic acid spray which I think I got in a previous advent. I am not sure this agreed with me, I think it made my skin really greasy.

Fraaahnces · 14/12/2023 15:08

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants AHC claim to be the first company to produce a concentrated, nourishing and hydrating, high-tech face cream with the lighter texture of an eye cream which was seen as preferable and more effective because the high-tech ingredients supposedly absorbed better than thicker ones. Tbf, they bring out new “improved” iterations every year or so, and it is very nice.

Fraaahnces · 15/12/2023 23:31

Boring empties - Batiste dry shampoo. Probably at least two years old. A humungous spray can that came free with something. I have another as well, so won’t need to buy any until I’m 406.
Hair spray - mini Elnett old lady hair spray. Have also had for years. I don’t need to buy another as DD1 gave me her hairspray before she left. It’s an industrial-sized can of Tigi. I will probably finish it after the dry shampoo. I don’t love the feeling of stuff in my hair. It’s very fine and it usually makes me itchy.
Finished my Beauty of Joseon serum sunscreen. Love. Still waiting for a new one to be delivered. Working on Numbuzin No1 Clear Filter Sunscreen. This is a new favourite. It is supposed to offer 8hrs of protection. (I still reapply if outside.) Also feels gorgeous on skin. This is one of my already open ones. I am using the Canmake green-tinted sunscreen when I go to work under my tinted moisturiser. It was a GWP and I don’t love it. If you have redness, it would be a good option though. (I don’t, but have pale olive skin so I get away with it, and it works well under makeup.) I couldn’t use it alone. They are my two open ones atm.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 16/12/2023 10:15

Thanks @Fraaahnces

PomsRun · 16/12/2023 10:46

Pushed through a few more:

Aromatherapy associates bath oil- nice but over priced imo.
Ren cleansing milk - fine for a morning cleanse.
Neom body scrub - liked a lot, gorgeous fragrance.
Living proof dry shampoo. No better than batiste imo
103/90

Plus a mini mascara which I didn’t rate - Shiseido.

A few more empties:

BYBI Eye Plump eye cream - 15ml. Fine as a lightweight eye cream, but didn’t notice any plumping effect (and I’ve been using it pretty much every night for months).

Evidens de Beaute Night Recovery Solution - 15ml. Didn’t like this. It says it is a no rinse overnight mask but even if I only used a tiny bit and put it on in the early evening, my face still felt sticky at bedtime. Also stupidly big packaging for a tiny amount of product.

Noble Isle Tea Rose shower gel - 75ml. I’m not the biggest fan of rose scents, but this was quite nice.

VS Pink Honey body lotion - 414ml. Loved this, smells gorgeous. Will definitely repurchase when there’s an offer on. My only gripe with these lotions is that the pump gives up when there’s about a fifth of the product left and it’s really hard to get the rest out.

Palmer’s cocoa butter hand cream - 60g. Cheap and very moisturising, but sinks in quickly. Smells exactly like the original Palmer’s body lotion.

Dior J’Adore eau de parfum - 30ml. Sad to see this finished. I think it’s the perfect work scent - clean but pretty and long lasting but not too obtrusive. I might try one of the new flankers next.

Laniege lip sleeping mask in Sweet Candy - 3ml mini. Love these, now using a full size vanilla one.

@Experiment627 Feeling like I have skipped a few boxes on the “age group” category in a survey atm, so that could be next week the way things are going right now!

My skin/face was in such a state this morning- have an horrid cold at the minute and usual routine has gone out the window. Yesterday it was all I could to get my son to school and thank GOD my mum had him for a sleepover. Anyhoo this morning I used a couple of masks and like an almost instant brighter complexion. 💜

Hope you feel better soon @Experiment627

LivingDeadGirlUK · 16/12/2023 21:39

I've finished a Prai 24k night cream, nice enough tbh but got a few more night creams to use up first.

About 2 weeks ago my skin was amazingly clear, I thought I had cracked it but I'm all greasy and spotty again :/ Possibly more booze and rich food is to blame.

Thereislightattheendofthetunnel · 17/12/2023 01:41

@Experiment627sorry you are not well. To be fair, neither am I. I have a cold too and the first symptom of not being well is not putting creams on my face and body as they feel too cold 😩

Fraaahnces · 17/12/2023 02:10

I hope everyone is feeling better asap! @MidnightMeltdown i just saw that you bought the Stylevana box! Some fabulous things in there! Think you will have fun with it. That and YesStyle were very good value for money. Full-size products, etc.
