Thank you all for your suggestions.

SOTD Clean Reserve Sueded Oud

SOTD Replica Lazy Sunday Morning

SOTE Zara Red Vanilla

TakeYourHatOffBoy · 10/06/2023 13:53

SOTD Nuxe Prodigieuse, both dry oil and perfume. Lovely summer-holiday scent. Its glorious here today, finally!

TakeYourHatOffBoy · 10/06/2023 13:54

*it's 🙄

EvelynBeatrice · 10/06/2023 14:39

I am a very occasional poster. Currently laid up in bed so enjoying the perfume columns. Recently given samples of Hermes new one Un Jardin a Cythere. Don't like it at all. The pleasant lemon opening gives way to a strong smell of biscuits on my skin - the pistachio perhaps?
In case of interest to other 24 Faubourg fans, I'm assured that it has not been discontinued; the issue is with the supply of the etched bottles.

EvelynBeatrice · 10/06/2023 14:42

On the summery lemon citrus front, I'm in need of a new summer fragrance. My beloved Nuxe Le Matin de Possibles has been discontinued I think. Has anyone tried the new Nuxe Prodigieux Neroli? I'm not keen on Prodigieux Le Parfum or the honey one. Any other great summer fragrance suggestions?

FestivelyScent · 10/06/2023 16:17

Welcome to the thread @EvelynBeatrice 👋😊

SOTD is SSOTPE. I've grown to like this soft bergamot, vanilla and woods fragrance. The fact I can hardly smell the ISO E Super (my nemesis ingredient) in this is a real bonus.

Perfumer H The Lemon Tree is Sotd.

Magpiecomplex · 10/06/2023 17:02

Can I join? I've just started getting into perfumes and have discovered Histoires de Parfum 1725, the Casanova one, which I'm wearing today (despite it being marketed as a masculine, which I am not!) Shalimar is another one I like, and also Penhaligons Luna. Other than having what I suspect is rather old-fashioned taste, is there anything else you can suggest that I might like? Thank you!

CorneliaStreet · 10/06/2023 18:01

I’ve got the Nuxe body oil on (the original one) too. Perfect summer scent.

DramaAlpaca · 10/06/2023 18:35

SOTD JHAG Pear Inc. Lovely and summery, though I wear it all year round as I love it so much.

EvelynBeatrice · 10/06/2023 21:03

@Magpiecomplex Hello. I like Luna and Shalimar too. My latest love is Hermes 24 Faubourg mentioned above. It’s not similar to either of the foregoing except in having what I can only describe as a warm feel and it isn’t linear - it changes beautifully - for me it is the perfect winter perfume. My daughter describes it as ‘motherly’ and when I looked slightly aghast she said ‘a pretty Parisian type mum who hasn’t given up; it’s comforting!’ Not sure what to make of that but I love it.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll have a look! I can cope with smelling like a pretty Parisian mum 😄

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 10/06/2023 23:23

SOTD Diptyque Eau Papier.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 11/06/2023 01:51

SOTD/SOTE is Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540

I love this as got a sample size in my freebie John Lewis Winter Beauty GWP box.
it smells like fairground toffee apples & animalistic sex behind the caravans or anywhere naughty!
I want a full size bottle so better get saving!

Talking of splashing out on perfume. I treated myself to a 75ml bottle of Chanel Bel Respiro last July at £169.
Looked the other day at the Chanel website & all Les Exclusifs are now £200 for 75ml

TakeYourHatOffBoy · 11/06/2023 15:52

SOTD Le Labo Santal 33. I'm torn on this one. It smells like our last trip to NYC in 2017 - I think everyone was wearing it! - and that brings back great memories. I also like the very soft violet in the base. But it doesn't last long on me and there's soooo much cedar in it which I find a really tricky note. On balance it's probably too masculine for me.

I think I have to accept that I like smelling ridiculously feminine, edible, complex or weird! Ironic really as my personal style, in terms of clothes, jewellery, makeup etc, is definitely simple and even androgynous. But that rarely works for me in scent.

TakeYourHatOffBoy · 11/06/2023 15:56

Agree with 24 Faubourg, it's fabulous and one of my gateway perfumes. For me it's more 'grande dame' than 'mum' though; I wear it when I need to feel invincible and a tiny bit scary.

mirages08 · 11/06/2023 15:57

Sotd 4160tuesdays SSOTPE again

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 11/06/2023 17:06

SOTD Juliette Has A Gun Ego Stratis which went missing from my bedroom & teenage DD swore blind that she hadn't touched it. However I know she likes it too & I found it hidden under her bed!
Naughty girl but she does have great taste 😊

CorneliaStreet · 11/06/2023 17:34

SOTD Sana Jardin Incense Water.

Deathraystare · 11/06/2023 18:56

The heat! The Heat!

Thankfully it has cooled down . I have the A/C and fan on.

When I got to work I sprayed SJP Lovely body mist on and felt much fresher!

DramaAlpaca · 11/06/2023 19:47

SOTD JHAG Musc Invisible

FestivelyScent · 11/06/2023 23:32

And just like that summer is here. It was so cool these past few weeks, and now it is so hot, especially here on the edge of London! Have been sheltering indoors to avoid the heat.

@Magpiecomplex Welcome to the thread 👋😊. I love Shalimar too, it's probably the only perfume I could wear all year round. I'm rubbish at giving recommendations but have you tried ambers before? Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan is the definitive amber imo, it has quite a herbal opening, but morphs into a rich & powdery thing, that just envelopes you in its warm embrace. Addictively sniffable.

😱 At the new prices of Chanel Exclusifs. I was vaguely dreaming about a bottle of Le Lion - not anymore!

SOTN is Ambre Orient.

Thanks @FestivelyScent, another one for the list! Alas I spend a lot of time in places with lots of bees over the summer, and they also love Shalimar, so it's definitely a winter only fragrance for me.

SOTD is Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune, which bees don't seem bothered by, but I like.

Cantonet · 12/06/2023 08:12

Phaedon Lentisque is Sotd for the first time this year. It's so muggy here today.
