SOTD 4160T Freeway. Love the weird petrol and hot tarmac notes at the top of this, which dry down into orange blossoms and vanilla; sultry, sticky sunshine.

The skankiest scent chat made me realise I had tried another Lutens a few years ago: Muscs Koublai Khan. I’ve heard it’s been reformulated, but to paint a picture of the original: imagine homeless people shagging in a barn for a month.

I liked the dry down, but I suspect that if I left the house wearing it I’d be arrested for indecency.

SOTD: Hermes Marveilles Bleue.

Replace it, for sure. If you don’t then as soon as you run out you’ll find yourself wanting it wear it. That’s always been the case for me, anyway.

I sold mine and immediately regretted it 🙄

@mirages08 I need to put a whole bunch of bottles on ebay but I'm so afraid of that exact thing happening!

However I really do need to rationalise my collection and make room for new things so I've bought some 10ml travalo atomisers. I'm going to decant myself a decent sample of things I like but rarely wear and then sell the remainder on.

That's a good idea!

I've got the 2 new 4160tuesdays crowdfunded scents heading my way at some point:)
But other than that I'm on a perfume buying ban :(

SOTD was Next Summer Sun again, just because I’m trying to use up the matching body lotion that came free with it.

SOTE (following a beach trip and a swim in the sea) is Gallivant Tel Aviv. I love how this always reminds me of villa holiday evenings, all warm and relaxed after a day in the sun and the water.

I'm in Greece at the moment so I've gone for Gris Charnel - brought a load of testers and samples away with me to save space. Love this and think I could buy a full bottle. It's sexy and I love the figgy note.

Soleil blanc sounds wonderful for summer, as does Freeway, but I feel sure the top notes of the latter will dominate on me, as anything experimental always seems to smell off on my skin.

SOTN is Miss Dior Originale. I am enjoying the cool and collected green aura of this, as I am feeling sticky and uncomfortable today.

SOTD is Floral Street Neon Rose

I love rosy perfumes & apart from above have got Idole, Chloe Rose Naturelle, my Clean Reserve Sueded Oud smells quite rosy.
To me they have the type of rose smell like when you stick your nose in an old fashioned original type of big blousy rose & you can also smell the green woody stems.
So I guess I'm looking for other green woody rose/rosy scents, if anyone can suggest others?

If it helps I also love Jo Loves No42 The Flower Shop, Malin & Goetz Stem & Chanel Bel Respiro which also have the green floral slightly woody smell too.
(Bel Respiro also reminds me of my Mum wearing Fidji)

@TracyBeakerSoYeah have you tried Diptyque L’Ombre dans L’eau for a green, rosy scent? Diptyque Eau Rose
is also one of my favourites, pure rose but not as green. HoF currently have a half price sale on all Goutal fragrances - their Rose Splendide is another rosy green fragrance worth trying.

SOTD is not one of my many rose perfumes, but Chanel Coromandel.

@TracyBeakerSoYeah The Perfume Garden by Marina Barcenilla is an unusual rich woody Rose. Her perfumes are just exceptional & sample sizes can be ordered off her website.
Secondly another suggestion is Papillon's Tobacco Rose. Its a very green woody Oakmossey & Ambergris infused Rose.

SOTD Safina - Rasasi

SOTD Clinique Beyond Rose. So spicy and sour, love it. I'm very excited as I have 30mls of this arriving any day. It's discontinued and almost impossible to get hold of unless you want to pay silly money on ebay, but I found a place online that still has stock of the 3 x 10ml bottle gift packs at a reasonable price.

@TracyBeakerSoYeah Heeley's Hippie Rose is a lovely bright, airy rose with woody green notes. It gets warmer and fuzzier in the dry down with patchouli and a bit of incense. Worth a look, imo.

A flame in your heart, passion and purity, Rosa ribes, salt rose and raw silk and red roses from 4160tuesdays are beautiful roses (and I don't particularly like Rose..)
