Good quality crossbody bag up to £800.00

It's a handbag thread! My favourite crossbody bag has finally worked itself to the ground and I'm looking for a replacement one if anyone has any recommendations!

What I'm replacing is a medium sized square brown leather bag which had two internal pockets, a small pocket on the outside and on the back an extra pocket that zipped open all the way and had space for cards, pens and bits of paper. I've never really seen anything that has matched, I have no idea of the brand it was brought in a vintage shop in my mid 20's (quite some years ago)! It was fairly small but seemed to fit everything inside it and more! What I'm describing is probably looking a camera bag with extra compartments.

It was one of my favourite things so am willing to spend up to £800.00 to replace it as it's going to be used quite a bit. I would prefer brown or oxblood but am open to some nice others like burnt orange etc, the only ones I can't have are navy or black as that's my main clothing palette!

For the quality and longevity of the leather, I’d buy a Mulberry Anthony messenger bag. I used a tan Radley cross body for about 3 years, and if I had been better at looking after it, it would still be presentable. As it is, the leather is discoloured. If it was a darker colour, it might be ok. It does have a zipped compartment on the back and a pocket on the front. I’ve two Mulberry Darias and they are in perfect condition - in spite of the fact that I treat them terribly.

Not only are the bags super expensive but also extremely non descript /plain boring looking. ie the Mulberry Antony - with a canvas strap - Just - REALLY??

I could understand paying up to £150 for a really nice handbag that's good quality leather etc as a special treat/birthday present - but £800?

And to OP (and an awful lot of folk) is isn't 'absolutely fucking ridiculous' - it's really mean to come on and have a go at someone because some don't have the same amount of money.
