Oops, name change fail! This is my Toastie name and I use the other for ‘life’ stuff!

Stoic123 · 27/09/2022 18:50

@SmaugMum - thought not seen her name on here before but Emma was very helpful 😀

EmmatheStageRat · 27/09/2022 18:51

@Stoic123 , I’ll let her know! 😅

MsDastardley · 27/09/2022 19:02

A bargain Sisisisi. I’ve just ordered a pair for me, and another for my daughter.

Hope Sooverthemill and Stoic123 like theirs. Oh, the pressure! I don’t get much from Seasalt, but they do occasionally have the odd gem. Their organic pyjamas are nice too.

Snowyowl78 · 27/09/2022 19:12

Got my parcels, Ikat shirt going back, too big and I think the horizontal stripes made me look massive. Another size in the Hemp blue trousers, am keeping both the 10 and 12. Collar linen shirt in Montella keeping for work. Keeping the water bottle carrier and awaiting a fan! Oh and a towel which I will keep for the summer.

Solovair update- moral is always size down. I got my usual size and they were like clown boots. Hastily reordered and hoping for a delivery before the weekend!

@SmaugMum i actually have a spare jute water carrier as I wanted to try both colours. Do you want it? (No worries if you’ve changed your mind!!)

Ive always liked their trousers, love the fact that their long means the cut from waist to crotch is also long, not just the legs.
Im sure the petite people feel the same.
It does annoy me that considering the price toast dont offer different lengths.

dudsville · 27/09/2022 19:43

Hm, am i the only one who doesn't size down for solovair? I only have one pair, the monkey shoes from a toast sale 3ish years ago they were tight fitting such that i has to use wooden shoe stretchers. They got their first outing today as it was cool and rainy. Love them, but definitely couldn't have sized down!

dudsville · 27/09/2022 19:44

That's a shame the ikat top didn't work @Snowyowl78 , it looks really nice.

pamshortsbrokenbothherlegs · 27/09/2022 19:45

My Finisterre order arrived, for those who were interested. The Yarrell trousers are fantastic and true to size, can't wait to wear them. I also got a merino base layer in the sale which is being sent back and purchased in the size up - I found it a bit snug on the chest, even for a layering piece. I did pay for fast shipping for the replacement in the hopes it'll be here for my weekend away - that's how much I liked it, otherwise!

I will say that both items are darker in colour than they appear on the Finisterre website. Actually good for me and these particular items, but something to keep in mind!

Snowyowl78 · 27/09/2022 20:11

@dudsville looks like Toast do ‘exclusive’ stuff with them so maybe they are normally sized for Toast?
im always a 4 and these were way too big! For Solovair direct

ToastCosILoveIt · 27/09/2022 22:27

My Solovair black laceups (like the loafers) arrived today and are fab, super comfy. I am a 38 and ordered a 38: they are roomy but not too big. The look super stylish.

The poplin broderie anglais dress in a 12 is large and hangs a little oddly at the back. I have reordered in a 10 to see if it is a better fit. I had sized up from my usual Toast 10 as reviews suggested it was true to size. I also ordered the Side Button Organic Indigo Denim Pinafore Dress in my usual high street size, 12, as reviews said it came up snug because of the cut. I will report back tomorrow.

dudsville · 28/09/2022 07:57

@Snowyowl78 , well you're not alone reading the few reviews on toast. I really want a pair now but might wait until i can get to a shop as my foot is more long/tapered/narrow and suspect this won't suit me.

Laska2Meryls · 28/09/2022 09:47

I went into Jigsaw yesterday and really love their offering this autumn..
So many gorgeous things and wonderful quality.
I love the 'tabard' style of jumper that I keep seeing this season , layering is definitely the way to go this won't , I reckon..

Anyway saw and loved ( and have now ordered) this .. it comes up big so I went for the S
Jigsaw tabard jumper

Laska2Meryls · 28/09/2022 09:53

I think with one of Toasts merino layer tops under or a shirt, it would look fab and would work woth wither trousers or a skirt .
Home today from our trip and I have a Finnisterre parcel waiting in my shed, I m told ( copper Eyre cardigan)

Laska2Meryls · 28/09/2022 09:55

Layering is the way to go this winter, i meant ( not won't,... blimmin phone)

MsDastardley · 28/09/2022 12:39

I received my parcel earlier. The denim skirt is lovely, I’m pleased with that. The seersucker dress looked great from the front, not brilliant from the side though, pulled across my bottom. The batik top didn’t suit me.

ElizabethBennetismybestfriend · 28/09/2022 12:59

Toast denim jacket received today. Huge. I sized down but would need to go down at least 2 more sizes. Just a warning incase it comes back in the next sale.

dudsville · 28/09/2022 13:26

I love that denim skirt too @MsDastardley !

Nearly all my sale purchases have arrived and most are now winging their way back to Toast. I've only kept the denim skirt and the orange striped emma but I'm really pleased with them. Last thing to come is the checkerboard cotton nightdress, and it would really surprise me if it isn't a keeper as I love the other one in that style so much.

So... (ahem) when are we reckoning the next sale will be? I bought the palm print dress and olive oil coat Nov 28th in a sale, that seems awfully soon but there was also a sale last September, so maybe? And then I've got the next sale purchases December 22nd. I can't help but look forward to it, however I have finally caught up with a lot of you and have also got tired of all the brown, so I don't know whether to look forward to it or not!

dudsville · 28/09/2022 13:28

And just by the by, I wish the toast site didn't remove pics and descriptions of things we've bought in the order history. Just checking this is the case for you all too?

Sooverthemill · 28/09/2022 15:01

They are coming tomorrow which is annoying as I paid for next day so they should come today. But as I have covid now I have a pile of sale stuff from all over piling up unopened anyway

AmethystMoonShine · 28/09/2022 15:05

@dudsville yes the pictures disappear for me too after a while

faustina · 28/09/2022 16:17

I just wanted to show off my lovely Thought jumper which arrived today - it is a brilliant fit, organic wool/cotton mix and I think it goes really well with my dark pear gabis and novestas (getting a bit nippy for the novestas though)

@Sooverthemill - just saw you have covid - hope you feel better soon!

Saurus72 · 28/09/2022 18:00

@faustina You look fab - the colours are gorgeous.

Stoic123 · 28/09/2022 18:07

@Laska2Meryls - I succumbed to similar when I went onto Seasalt to buy recommended cord trousers.

Another option if anyone else likes the style
