If a medium doesn’t show up, I will keep the small as it really is lovely, isn’t it @ilovecherries I think it would look great over a white shirt, with a napkin scarf to finish. I’ll bet you do indeed look fabulous.

dudsville · 22/06/2022 07:28

"With a napkin festooned round my neck as well, I have convinced myself I look fabulous." This has to be one of the top ten quotes of a toast thread! 😆

😂😂😂. Maybe I should write them a review saying that! It will be up there with the wearing Toast at my potters’ wheel comment.

NotMyDayJob · 22/06/2022 09:22

Hello Toasters. For Christmas I got some pyjamas from Toast and they are amazing so I want to upgrade all my pyjamas to Toast. I am normally about a size 12 and the ones I got for Christmas are a small and seem plenty big (also bearing in mind I was about six months pregnant). Is this normal for Toast pyjamas or was this an anomaly and I should get my usual size medium? I am buying online (and in the sale of course!) Thanks for your help

AmethystMoonShine · 22/06/2022 09:47

@NotMyDayJob I’m a 12 and have a mix of S and M in their nightwear. It rather depends upon the style. I suggest reading the reviews to see what the general comments are about sizing. It also depends if you like loose PJs generally as some don’t like to feel restricted so size up anyway.
Sorry…. not sure I’m that helpful 🤔

dudsville · 22/06/2022 10:07

@NotMyDayJob , i'm a small 14 up top and a large 14 before. I bought the check pj sets and with the medium the top was far too big and the bottoms a little snug around the waist band. In the check nighties i bought medium and they're loose and comfy and look like the right size.

dudsville · 22/06/2022 10:09

Today's comfy outfit.

Thanks for your help! I read the reviews but no one has commented on size unfortunately. The ones I am looking at are the same style as the ones I have got so I might take a punt on the same size and see how I get on (am obviously no longer six months pregnant as well!)

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 22/06/2022 14:18

My sale parcel has finally arrived, so long I’d almost forgotten what I’d ordered.
The stripe soft tee in orange is lovely, but I already have the cornflower so I knew what it was like - quite surprised these haven’t sold out in the sale.
The circular tee in olive is really comfortable, quite a lot of fabric but nice and airy in the hot weather.
The surprise for me are the Cotton Linen Wide Leg Trousers in moss, really comfortable, quite big on the waist in a 12 but look good sitting on my hips. I really thought I’d be sending these back but the fabric is the same as my lovely Alix that I bought on Vinted.
Looks like I’ll be keeping everything then, although I’m now wishing I’d ordered a couple of napkins Grin .

dudsville · 22/06/2022 21:09

I'm envious you've got the circular tee in olive, that looks like such a useful colour!

pamshortsbrokenbothherlegs · 22/06/2022 21:37

My order arrived today, a whole week after the fact! Most of it is going back, a mixed blessing.

The Emma tee was a strange fit, though I love the chestnut stripe, so 70s! I found the sleeves too long (they covered my elbows) and the a-line shape made it hard to tuck. At least now I know Emmas aren't for me.

The gathered sleeve tee was nice but not £50 nice.

The linen knitted top in Montella was hard to let go of, the fit and colour are beautiful. But I found it a bit thick and I wasn't sure how much I'd wear it. As it was still quite pricey even in the sale I decided against.

The cedar check dress was the main reason for the order as I'd tried and liked it previously, but for some reason it felt entirely different this time! Can't put my finger on it, but as DH said, I have better versions of that look. Besides, I'm now obsessed with the olive and tangerine check dress that's new in, so I'll be saving my pennies for that.

Fruit picking basket is indeed lovely but I'm not quite sure what I was thinking. 😂

The dark horse of the order was the gingham check blouse with ruffled collar. So flattering and wearable, I think I'll get loads of wear out of it come autumn.

I world normally do a big second order with so many disappointments, but most things are now oos in my size - probably for the best! I did order the Paraboot Michaels as they seem promising, and are cheaper on sale than the Grensons I've been eyeing for ages.

Laska2Meryls · 23/06/2022 10:30

Looks like my parcel has at last made it to the correct place having had a little mooch around the sorting offices of the South , and so hopefully I will get my Ginkgo nightdress today .. I hope that I lie it after all that..

Wondering if they will add any new stuff to the sale today .. its been a week...

TerrierOrTerror · 23/06/2022 10:50

I'm also still waiting on my parcel. Only one dress so we will see.

ilovecherries · 23/06/2022 13:41

Well, after repurposing my napkins yesterday I’ve gone completely to hell in a hand cart with multi-use toast garments. Sashayed round town in brick check pyjama bottoms and a random white tee, with the obligatory napkin.

SmaugMum · 23/06/2022 13:55

@ilovecherries , if it makes you feel any better, I went out yesterday in my new (dressing) gown, the patchwork and ikat gown, over a previous year’s Batik print dress. In my defence, I do originally hail from Liverpool, where it is these days apparently obligatory to go out in one’s PJs. I’ve not yet repurposed any napkins, but I fully intend to!

Laska2Meryls · 23/06/2022 14:01

My Ginkgo nightdress arrived and its fab .. ( you dont need a photo of me in a nightie!)
But yes I do t ever use them as nightgowns it will join some of the others for sashaying around the house and odd campsite in..
I too wear some cropped pj bottoms from a few year ago out as summer trousers , especially a couple of pairs I had with a vaguely ethnic print...
I like the idea of the patchwork ikat gown as a jacket.. I have the beri kimono gown from last year ., Its so lovely .. I wonder .. 🤔

Laska2Meryls · 23/06/2022 14:02

Toast nightwear is usually such fab quality as to be good enough for day wear..

Laska2Meryls · 23/06/2022 14:21

I love the two patchwork gowns in the sale but am sitting on my hands until.Toast add more stuff ( theres a couple of things I am hoping they add to the sale) or do further reductions ...

midsomermurderess · 23/06/2022 14:41

@pamshortsbrokenbothherlegs Is the gingham checked blouse the green and black one? I’m expecting mine to be delivered tomorrow so I’m glad you like it. I had my eyes in it for ages but couldn’t go to £175. Grabbed it in the sale.

ScottishMouse · 23/06/2022 14:58

Just saw a woman walking down the street looking fabulous in the montella linen/cotton knit top, and now there is another item sitting in my basket! Although I think some folks here thought it was too thick?
Loving the chat about nightwear (and home wear) as daywear. I need to see what I might repurpose in this way.

Snowyowl78 · 23/06/2022 15:05

@ScottishMouse it was more jumper like than I imagined and quite round, wondered it it made me look a bit rotund. That said I did almost put it on for work today as it’s the right balance of casual but with a smart ish vibe.

Stoic123 · 23/06/2022 15:27

I plan to embrace the napkin scarf trend - two more seed stripe napkins ordered.

The clover green napkin will go with my croft green pinafore dress and the copper/wheat is earmarked to accompany a Golden Syrup needlecord shirt dress.

Thanks for the inspo @ilovecherries

AmethystMoonShine · 23/06/2022 15:29

Loving all the repurposing going on. I picked up a pair of the berries PJ bottoms on eBay last year...I am sure the seller had kept the top as a daytime top and so had no need for the trousers!

Just received the gathered sleeve top in white pepper, it is going back as sadly the colour did nothing for me at all. As @Laska2Meryls I'm now sitting tight in the hope more lines will be added to the sale.

pamshortsbrokenbothherlegs · 23/06/2022 15:35

@midsomermurderess no the one I got was grey/blue/black, with a wide, ruffled Peter Pan - style collar. It's quite "Scandi chic but make it wearable". 😄

midsomermurderess · 23/06/2022 15:44

That sounds lovely.
