I like the lichen jacket on you Faustina.
My last sale buy -Ginkgo print nightdress - which was due today had been pinged off at a tangent elsewhere by the Post Office.. Hopefully it will be here tomorrow

@faustina , thank you, yes that is my fear, it will look too boxy.

I had ordered the Hereu Alber loafers and they arrived today. They are an absolute thing of beauty. The are a little big as I sized up based on reviews and because they didnt have my size left, but they are worth getting insoles for and wearing with socks.

i have also picked up two pairs of PJs in the sale, a matching robe, the circle neck top (which, going against the grain, I love), the circle neck poplin dress (which I love, true to size) and the gingham cotton wool dress with the puffy sleeves: all good.

Back went the two cardigans I ordered, the Aran one and the citrus yellow one. They didn't feel good enough and i would wear them in a very limited way.

I am holding out for more sale items, specifically the elm check dress and the pintuck organic poplin dress. I love poplin, its rustle is music to my ears!

missmoon · 20/06/2022 22:36

I wondered if anyone can help. I ordered a couple of things last week, and the status says "unfulfilled" on my account online. Does this mean I have to wait longer, or is there a problem with the order?

Stoic123 · 20/06/2022 23:17

@missmoon - just means not despatched yet. Sometimes they've oversold an item and wait to see if they get a return before confirming they can't send it to you - but doesn't happen often. Is your item still in stock?

What day did you order? My last package took 3 days to go from confirmed to fulfilled.

Stinkymalinkyfromdownthelane · 21/06/2022 05:30

Hi all, followed this thread for ages but never posted - there's the needlecord yoke dress on JL for £48 👀

missmoon · 21/06/2022 07:03

@Stoic123 thank you, both items are still in stock so hopefully just a delay. I ordered two pairs of the dyed linen trousers!

dudsville · 21/06/2022 07:18

@ToastCosILoveIt , ahhhhh, the Hereu Alber loafers. I'll need to live through you. I wanted the dark pair but couldn't justify it and managed not to buy the and now they're finally sold out. Phew. Just exactly how wonderful are they???

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 21/06/2022 11:23

@missmoon I ordered last Wednesday and my bits aren't arriving until tomorrow - seems to be taking quite a while at the moment.

Snowyowl78 · 21/06/2022 11:53

I got these in the Spice and I originally discounted them for looking clownish, but now I am warming to them, anyone else have them?

That is a long delay...
It looks like my last parcel which was due yesterday is still wandering a bit lost around various local post office depots looking for the right bag atm.. Its oos on Toast now , so hope it does find its way....

FiddleFigs · 21/06/2022 12:29

@Snowyowl78 I have them in both spice and olive - bought them in the sale last year. I love them for warm weather - usually wear them with something boxy and cropped. They do make my bum look big, but since I can't see that, I don't care :)

Snowyowl78 · 21/06/2022 12:49

@FiddleFigs yeah I think that’s the pocket at the back because it’s big and low. They are quite long on me I have to roll them up 3 times. Can imagine strolling about in flip flops with them, the Spice colour is rather joyful!

FiddleFigs · 21/06/2022 12:56

@Snowyowl78 - they're cropped on me (I'm 5'10")! Yes, joyful is the word!

faustina · 21/06/2022 14:04

@Snowyowl78 - I bought them in military olive last year and have to roll them up a few times too (I'm 5'4). I find the amount of fabric in the front is quite unflattering, but I still like them!

Snowyowl78 · 21/06/2022 14:20

@faustina yes not sure how flattering they are but I think they’re quite cool. I am only 5’3 so they’re quite long for me

ilovecherries · 21/06/2022 14:45

My lofty wool/cashmere jumper arrived. I think it might become my favourite jumper. It’s quite delicate but it’s just perfect. Loopback jersey top is a also a keeper but I expected it to be as I already have it in a spice colour that I’ve worn loads. And finally - asking for a friend - do you think it’s acceptable to use the Toast napkins as little scarves?

ScottishMouse · 21/06/2022 16:03

Only getting back here this afternoon. Thanks to everyone who answers my questions a few pages back.
@ilovecherries , I wear one of the ikat napkins as a scarf! It’s a tiny bit small so quite tight, but it works I think.
Can I ask what size you got in the lofty wool cashmere sweater and if you have other Toast sweaters if that is your normal size? I am still swithering about keeping the small. I love it, but I wonder if the medium would have been a better fit. Stalking for returns…

ilovecherries · 21/06/2022 16:15

My lofty jumper is large and I usually get a medium in Toast. I wanted a slouchy fit, and it is. I wouldn’t say it’s particularly small made, but a medium wouldn’t have given me the look I have in mind for it.

TheChattyRat · 21/06/2022 16:46

Just fishing for thoughts on the check cotton jersey dress - has a check skirt and black top half. Does anyone have this? Looks like a good winter basic but reviews are a bit meh.
Am not sure I have much more I want to buy (shock!) but vicariously enjoying the sales chat.
@ToastCosILoveIt that sounds like a great haul.
@Laska2Meryls that is annoying about your parcel - hope it turns up!
I’m not feeling too virtuous tho as there are a few full price items I am mulling over

Stoic123 · 21/06/2022 17:13

@ilovecherries - I've just tried tying a seed stripe napkin around my neck. I reckon your friend could get away with it.

They really match the Toast palate... now eyeing up the wheat and green ones.

Stoic123 · 21/06/2022 17:18

Sorry palette!

Laska2Meryls · 21/06/2022 17:41

Ooo what a great idea!

The napkins as scarves is a game changer, looks amazing! But i will not place another order. No. Damn it.

I placed a final order on the 18th and haven't had any updates but they've taken payment. However my refunds were emailed on the 20th, so they're processing those quickly.

I wore the olive oil dress yesterday and got loads of compliments, one person said "hello Hollywood!", and another asked if I'd lost weight, which were nice things as I'm still carrying 16 pounds of pandemic weight and was wearing a floaty loose number.

Today I'm back in the seed dress. So comfortable. I bought the John Lewis dress thanks to the pp above who mentioned it. It's going to be too big for me, but I'm thinking of it whether it might be a nice house dress/ winter pyjama. We'll see.

ScottishMouse · 21/06/2022 19:30

Thanks @ilovecherries , that’s exactly why I think I need a medium in the lofty sweater. Will keep stalking for returns.

Thanks stoic - that’s the ones I (my friend!) have. They really look identical to neckerchiefs. Yours look lovely, I think I’ll go for it. As long as I don’t wear it at the same time I’m using the napkins it should be fine!

ScottishMouse, it is one of the most lovely jumpers I’ve ever had. I’m wearing it right now over a white shirt. Yes, it’s summer. In Scotland. I am so glad I bought it. With a napkin festooned round my back as well, I have convinced myself I look fabulous.
