@dudsville yes it is, I meant ( but didnt put it properly) if I could get away with no bra? I am quite busty.. Anyway no worries because I wore my bikini top (yes I give no fks about wearing a bikini on the beach despite my covid stone+ and advanced age, let them look if they must) .. We've just come back from a lovely swim .., I have never seen so many on our local beach on a Monday

I pop onto this thread sometimes to see outfits but never have much to add as my Toast purchases are nearly always secondhand and from previous years so I don't think I have any useful info!

So i wore the cotton linen trousers today and I'm really I'm impressed with them. They still look smart after several hours in the heat, still look freshly ironed. It's nice to have found something in my closet I'd forgotten about that turns out to be a perfect thing. 🥰

@Laska2Meryls ,aha, yes, the endless search for things that can be written without a bra! I find pattern hides a lot!

I meant to say Welcome @HeyHeyer .. we get a bit quiet sometimes after sale time, especially when we are processing the shock of our credit card spends and new prices on new season stuff, but we are a friendly lot and love an eBay bargain too ..

In fact I bought a lovely Toast orange linen long shirt beach cover up on eBay last week...its gone straight in the wash basket, but once its washed and ironed ill show everyone .. It must be a few years old as I don't recall seeing it previously..

I meant to ask someone ordered the Cercel bag on my recommendation.. Did you like it?

So I rounded off my "last hurrah" order not only with the green dress, but with a robe and a pair of cotton linen trousers Honestly, my bank statement will make interesting reading.
I did however send back my order of the Tangram dress which I just took a dislike to immediately, the pattern was so autumnal. And I returned the patchwork dress and the painted falls pyjamas.

I wish i could trust ebay. I bought one toast dress, it smelled like "air freshner" and i didn't know about sellers not taking returns. The size wasn't current sizing, but i didn't know that, so the dress was really tiny. What are tops for ebay shopping?

Just reporting back on my Maison Hotel purchases. All 3 items arrived vey quickly but I’m afraid that they are all going back. Quality is pretty shoddy. The prints are lovely but the garments are just badly made. Reminds me of something I’d buy on hols in Spain from a shop selling incense and pottery! Back to Toast then

Business sellers have to accept returns for online sales and refund the whole amount, including the original postage cost. Personal sellers don't unless the item is not as described (and businesses who pretend to be personal sellers get away with it because ebay doesn't care).

If you buy online it's worth knowing about the Consumer Contracts Regulations. I always feel fairly confident buying on eBay because of this. I also never pay more than I'd easily be able to resell for, especially for a brand like Toast where sizing is so strange!

I always message to ask for measurements if needed and for confirmation of condition if it's not mentioned. You also get a feel for the seller from their reply.

I still get the ocassional dud but they're rare. Ive also had some luck on Vinted (though they don't really enforce returns so more of a risk). Depop is terrible in my experience.

Feedback is worth checking too. Not many people leave negative reviews so look for enthusiastic/happy ones!

So, this thread started at the start of the sale, do you all think it's the briefest timeline of a toast thread? Will it see us through the receipt of our final sale items? I have email confirmation but no update beyond that.

I’ve got some more sale stuff coming, I estimate on Wednesday, I reckon they’ll have loads of returns for the next sale. Also got some full price stuff coming!

Just wondering if anyone has the tiered space check dress? I have it in the blue from last year. Is it the same? I have it in a small but since weight gain I'm more likely to need the medium or is it super generous on bust?

I received my Avery scarf, but it was really heavily perfumed - obviously someone had tried it on and returned .. Toast chat refunded me 20% so V pleased... Ill hang it up to air and it should be fine

That's brilliant @Laska2Meryls . Toast customer service seemed to have really upped their game recently.

That's a good result from customer service @Laska2Meryls , and I respect you keeping up withthe shopping post sale! I returned a bunch of things yesterday but I grabbed the plain pebble tee back out at the last minute, tried in on under a cardigan and though it would be handy, and it is so comfortable, so I kept it an dadded a handwritten note inside to explain its absence.

I can't believe I was so negative about the cotton linen trousers way upthread! I'm wearing them again today, but with the yellow/slate striped emma, and they are so comfortable. I did as a final binge order a pair in the other colour Moss. I thought it was a silly purchase but I'm now really looking forward to them. I think I'm going to get rid of the two quite worn pairs of culottes I have from a few years back. I kept catching drawers on the voluminous pleats and have a few patchups on them!

So I'm waiting on the sale moss trousers, the hemp cotton jumpsuit and the silly pink tee. I now have a delivery notice for the trounsers and jumpsuit.

I’m waiting on two sizes of the black cotton dress and the slate shirt which I might not be able to keep since I have ordered the new grapefruit one. I’m also now staring at the space check trousers as I have discovered how comfy the shorts are- anyone got them?

@neveradullmoment99 i don’t know about the dress but the shorts are massive, so I’m assuming the same for all in the same material?
