Looks great @TheChattyRat

@Laska2Meryls

Ah that has put me off.. I do wish they'd make their jumpers longer....
Aw sorry didn’t mean to put you off completely, it is a lovely colour way, just quite small and neat. Although I do think it’s a bit expensive….
faustina · 06/03/2022 13:50

@billydilly I am determined to go away a couple of times at least before that happens. So tempting though - this is the first time in my life I've been animal free. I have maine coons on my shortlist which would be quite a change from my usual Devon rexes.

@TheChattyRat - your scarf looks lovely!

billydilly · 06/03/2022 14:38

@faustina Maine Coons are great, very chilled and friendly. Mine are about the size of a Corgi and weigh a LOT. They have the sweetest little chirrup instead of a meow and the evening 'zoomies' are a sight to behold!

Brought my online returns back to the store today, and one of the sale assistants was wearing the blue gingham trousers and they looked amazing on her. Less voluminous than I had thought when I tried them, and a good length even though she was short like me. So I tried them again, and bought them! Gah! I really only intended to return items today.
They grabbed me a tshirt to try with them as I was wearing a dress, it was the linen boy tee. I had always thought the boy tees looked like the neck was very high, but it was actually really good. I had been planning on buying some of the new easy tees, but having tried those recently and found the style no good for me, I’m wondering about the cotton boy tees now (the linen was too see through). How do folk find them…are they quite short? do they shrink? how is the neck? are they worth £50?!

faustina · 06/03/2022 19:03

I know the linen ones shrink terribly - like ridiculous amounts. I tried the cotton ones but returned as I didn't like the fit. I have some of the easy tees and they haven't worn well at all.

My current best buys (and I think they're organic) are the Gap shrunken tees which are amazing and an absolutely perfect fit. Can't recommend them enough

ScottishMouse · 06/03/2022 19:09

Oh good too @faustina, I shall look those up.

ToastCosILoveIt · 06/03/2022 19:59

@ScottishMouse, which blue gingham do you mean? These? www.toa.st/products/tie-front-gingham-cotton-trousers-blue-slate-marine

ScottishMouse · 06/03/2022 20:10

That’s the ones @ToastCosILoveIt

ToastCosILoveIt · 06/03/2022 20:12

They do look lovely @ScottishMouse. Are they true to size? Do they rely on tucking in the teeshurt?

ScottishMouse · 06/03/2022 20:17

They are true to Toast size I would say, maybe a little smaller than some of their trousers. I bought an 8 and I usually wear a 6 or 8 in Toast trousers depending on style.
They would look best with a top tucked in I think, because of the tie at the front. But I think they would also work with something longer over the tie too. I haven’t tried them on with anything else at home yet, but will tomorrow.

ToastCosILoveIt · 06/03/2022 21:39

Thanks @ScottishMouse.

Countmeout · 07/03/2022 09:00

What sort of weight are they @ScottishMouse? Are they substantial or suitable for hotter (ever hopeful) weather?

ScottishMouse · 07/03/2022 09:03

Quite light @Countmeout. I will wear them spring, summer & autumn, but I don’t need warmth on my bottom half so much.

Countmeout · 07/03/2022 10:12

Thank you @ScottishMouse. Maybe worth a look.

The neck is high and the shape is a standard length, I wouldn’t say it’s short, but it’s shorter than say, the Emma tees. I don’t think mine have shrunk, I have two and they have washed well! The neck is probably the same as the Emma’s I think. As an alternative, I bought this the other day but the sleeve length was not great for my arms so have sent it back, it was nice though if you don’t have any arm hang-ups! www.toa.st/collections/womens-tops-tees/products/scoop-neck-stripe-cotton-tee-blue-peat

Also I am tempted to try out some of the mens tees so be interested if anyone has done the same!
