Yes, the way you've described it @TempleofZooom - sounds as if it might be a fault with the trousers. Horrible - and not normal for Alix trousers at all.

Ha ha @faustina I think its me thats faulty. They looked fine on the hanger.

I also had the long crotch issue with some alix trousers ages ago and have avoided them ever since! Must be a body architecture issue. I do find the jumpsuits have a low crotch too usually

@ToastCosILoveIt yes I did, exactly that I’m a standard 12 but a 10 was still generous but I think the style suits a looser fit.

Bath TOAST circle didn't have much I wanted but did snap up a slubby green cotton T shirt which had only come in the day before.

Some lovely things in there, even my 17 year old daughter was taken with some of it.

Well after me bad mouthing the customer service when I phoned them about the missing belt yesterday, one was waiting for me in the post tonight when I got in from work! Very impressive!

Gathered hem skirt arrived (again) creased liked billyo but I’m not adverse to the iron. Like someone noted on earlier thread looks good with arran jumper ( I have one from a couple of seasons back) . So at £60 I’ll keep, I wouldn’t be overly keen to have anything else in that material though so that takes care of my hankering for the lovely orange shade in the pinafore and skirt.

Funny thing happened to me this morning. I sent the chambray dress back about 10 days ago, didn’t get a refund, tracking showed it in the black hole of Swansea for over a week. Yesterday tracking suddenly showed it back in Glasgow and today it arrived at my door. Decided if it wanted to live with me so much I should keep it after all so I’m wearing it now with a cashmere fine knit roll neck, fleecy tights, DMs and the Toast long alpaca cardi in charcoal.

Apple cable cardi ( I regretted not ordering this ) and cotton linen trousers in slate (ditto... I tried those in moss from JL but sent back because not really my colour)

Yes, I thought that i was bored looking at the Toast sale and as said yesterday , and I really Do Not need more clothes! (wardrobes utterly groaning) .. So this morning I had my halo polished all nice and shiny and thought that I wouldn't be bothering to look any longer ....

I’ve just ordered the bud check shirt as well @Stoic123 . I’ve been impressed that Toast shirts fit me so well that I just had to try another one - this will be my fourth shirt in this sale .

I do not understand Toast sizing! I ordered the new Alix in 6 and 8. I have the indigo ones in a 6, and three other pairs in linen/cotton in an 8. The 8 in the new ones practically fell straight off me they are so huge. But the 6 are not big enough. The waist of the 6 is bigger than the size 8’s I have in other fabrics, which is good as I carry my weight there. But the hips and bum is much smaller and too small for me even though I have no hips or bum to speak of and my other Alix trousers are all very roomy there. So they are both going back, which is disappointing as they are really nice.

@ScottishMouse - that is so infuriating! do you think it might be worth trying another size 6, in case it's a variable thing? It must be, mustn't it?

I think it’s possible @faustina. The difference in size between the 6 and the 8 is massive.

Hi everyone! @ilovecherries, that's such an amazing story. That dress chose to you!

Like others, I'm also over ready for the sale to end. I sent back the moss cotton linen wide leg trousers and pomegranate striped top, kept the slate cotton linen trousers and blue/black stripe top.

I ordered two pairs of culottes in the sale in November and have decided that there's just too much material on the inside leg and crotch! I've cut into them turning them into wide leg. Also the waist in these was 3 inches bigger than the cotton linen wide leg of the same size, apparently. I was very pre-diet when I bought them, and I did, so, love the fabric but in hindsight I should have sized down.

Anyone want to swap tips on how to make Toast look cool?

I seems the sort of style that can look really edgy if worn a certain way and very plain if worn another - so what differentiates?

I have noticed that on the styling videos layering and a red lip seems to jazz up the look well.

Oh, what a good question. I do tend always to wear red lipstick and a reasonable amount of makeup anyway so don’t know if that helps or not. I’m bald (have been for most of adult life) and I do have many wigs but more and more I’m not bothering with them, but I def need a full face of makeup if I’m not wearing hair. If I’m bald, I always also try to wear interesting earrings - not chandeliers but something slightly unusual. I also love brooches and pearls (not all at once, I hasten to add!). I think Toast clothing lends itself well to big shoes rather than dainty heels. And I find often that it’s the third item that elevates a look. Might be a vest, or a scarf even a hat or glasses or an extra layer. I love duster type coats for this reason as well. Have probably now demonstrated my complete unstylishness . Love to hear what others think.

I cracked and re-ordered the checked lime dress which I was sorry had gone back, and payed via Paypal and it offered me "pay in 3" (instalments) exactly like Klarna! This might be a bad thing to know .....

@Yorkshire lass04 I only wear huge, bonkers jewelry; Toast clothing sets it off really well and provides edge imho. Ditto big, clumpy shoes

I just go for frumpy clumpy!😂 Usually wear things in layers with ( reviled on MN but being an inverted triangle they suit my shape )leggings or skinnies, ankle or mid calf boots,
Sharp white blonde pixie cut helps though....
I have never worn make up..but when I am actually going somewhere, I wear loads of silver necklaces, earrings and bangles ..

Sometimes its pale pink hair was always when I was working but now depending if I can be bothered ...
