I like it as I have quite a few formal costs without hoods it would work fir me!

NashvilleQueen · 15/01/2022 05:24

It's quite a good idea when you think about it. A hooded scarf.

Geamhradh · 15/01/2022 05:30

They're a thing this season aren't they?
Can't remember where I was looking the other day but you can get crocheted ones for when the manufacturer forgets to put one on your blouse
It's all a bit Ryanair really.
"Oh! You'd like 2 legs in those trousers Madame? Let me show you our range of extras!"

Crucible · 15/01/2022 05:38

'it's a DICKIE'

Howard Wolowitz.

Mercurial123 · 15/01/2022 06:28

It's a clever idea. If you look on any online store you'll probably find something to hate, yet COS always seems to be mentioned on here.

Don't forget M&S. It's really cool to hate M&S.
Badabingbadabum · 15/01/2022 06:57

I don't think it is that crazy. I had a knitted version for dds when they were smaller, really practical.

Badabingbadabum · 15/01/2022 07:00

I didn't see it had an actual hood. I now really like it.

MacNTosh · 15/01/2022 07:02

I think they’re great. Cos does a few variations of this every year.

Laceoff · 15/01/2022 07:05

Ooh my mum used to knit these all the time in the 70s/80s. She still uses one now - back on trend!

Gardeniafleur · 15/01/2022 07:06

Can we do a thread of nice, wearable things from COS please? The things I actually find from there I adore but holy shit, I went in recently and was baffled.

I WANT to buy the occasional well made, stylish thing from them, but am baffled by it atm.

RedHot22 · 15/01/2022 07:16

I bloody love that.
Placing a Cos order today and that will be on there. Not in orange.

gunnersgold · 15/01/2022 07:18

I really like that ! 🤔

gunnersgold · 15/01/2022 07:18

In the blue or black id totally wear it !

mynameiscalypso · 15/01/2022 07:22

I think it's a great idea. Presumably it squashes up so you can put it in a bag for when you need a hood if it's cold/starts raining. I have a few coats which don't have a hood but I end up not wearing them in case it rains (normally pushing a pram too so umbrella aren't practical).

timshortfforthalia · 15/01/2022 07:25

Oh I really like - thanks for posting the link OP.

I have a couple of smart coats that I love but are hoodless and too gappy round the neck. This solves this - and small enough to fold down into bag if not needed. The orange is vile obvs, but love the navy and black.

OrangeIsTheNewRed · 15/01/2022 07:46

I'm obviously in the minority Grin

OP posts:

@BusterGonad
Don't forget you have to point and laugh at M&S while salivating over the frocks in Toast. That are literally, totally what my step grandmother who died 30 years ago was wearing to go to the tea dance in the church hall when she was in her 80s but liked a nice patterned frock with a belt.

I think the problem with Cos is the way they style things on the website. I kind of get that they are "showcasing" the garment not the model, but the models invariably look like hostages who have been forced at gunpoint into the clothes. And have been warned (like in a passport photo) that if they show any facial expression, said gun will be used. They look absolutely terrified.

Badabingbadabum · 15/01/2022 07:51

@Sort0f

I like this and nearly bought it recently.

The amount of grief it was recently to return something to Cos because of the courier (UPS) deterred me though.

Have a look at their returns page, you can use hermes or Royal Mail, looks to bd the same as asos etc.
ToleranceAndCourage · 15/01/2022 07:55

Kids and me wear this. I also like it. Knitted or puffer, it's quite cool. Even the colour.

RedHot22 · 15/01/2022 07:55

Ordered! Along with a cardi

ToleranceAndCourage · 15/01/2022 07:57

It'll be the new MN scarf.

KiloWhat · 15/01/2022 08:07

I like it but not in orange

RoseSays · 15/01/2022 08:19

I think it's great - it's basically like a snood you can just chuck on to make you feel warm and also brings your coats/jackets up to date

RedHot22 · 15/01/2022 08:37

I will report back when I’ve received mine Smile
