Don't forget you have to point and laugh at M&S while salivating over the frocks in Toast. That are literally, totally what my step grandmother who died 30 years ago was wearing to go to the tea dance in the church hall when she was in her 80s but liked a nice patterned frock with a belt.
I think the problem with Cos is the way they style things on the website. I kind of get that they are "showcasing" the garment not the model, but the models invariably look like hostages who have been forced at gunpoint into the clothes. And have been warned (like in a passport photo) that if they show any facial expression, said gun will be used. They look absolutely terrified.
