As I need inspiration to look after myself more but I hardly know where to begin other than I need to lose weight!

Hoping to get ideas from others as I'm not really into fashion and beauty and hoping to change this (within budget of course!)

pseudo I had my daith done before Christmas , I was expecting it to hurt but TBH , I thought they were prodding my ear with the dye applicator ( to mark the piercing point) when they said "that's the worst bit done" , I was Eh , no crunch ?

I went for a piercing I'll wear for at least a year , it'll take at least that till I'll be brave enough to change it !

I bought myself some Revitabrow and Alpha H , my skin does look better , smoother . I think (cross fingers) this is my Holy Grail , and I can stop looking .

I had electrolysis yesterday, on my facial hair. First session. It wasn't too uncomfortable - certainly not pleasant but it wasn't as bad as actually plucking the little bastards! I have very mild swelling in the area this morning but TBH it's barely noticeable, DH didn't realise until I mentioned it. And it's not actually sore at all.

Hi everyone, how are you all doing?

Slow and steady here, seems the more improvements I make the more things I feel need addressing.

Weight is going down still, 13lbs left to lose. My die is going better, I have resisted chocolate and binge eating which is where I seemed to have failed at Christmas time. Must be one month in on Tretinoin nw as Dermatica have sent a higher stregth for me to use. I feel my skin improved alot in the first two weeks, but hasn't shown any improvement since so fingers crossed.

I feel like I hae slowed down the last week, so have ordered a silk bodysuit style blouse as a treat for our anniversary to keep me motivated. I think the next steps is microblading and hair, not in that order logically. And as I can change my earring is a few weeks get my curated earrings ordered. This is my plan this month, hopefully I can squeeze in time to do it!

Hey how is everyone, long time no post!

3 Months in now, and there is some good progress. I was unsure whether Viviscal was doing much, but now I'm a few days towards the end of my 3 months dosage, I have lots of hair regrowth around my hairline, which was a particular sore point for me, I just assumed my hair was receeding but at some point it must have fallen out as it's coming back in quite full which is encouraging. I have decided to rebuy the Viviscal and see where we are at in another 3 months.

The tretinoin is going well, moved up to 0.05% last month. My faint glabellar lines have gone, and my marinette lines and nasolabial folds have plumped out, becoming tighter and less pronounced. No change to my forehead lines and I'm not really sure about the fine lines around my eyes. Hopefully in another three months those will have improved significantly too.

Having really thought about the next stpes for me, it will be microblading (powder brow etc or similar), eyelash extensions and haircut/colour/extensions as I feel these will make the most impact to my appearance in a more natural way.

I'm still about and still princessing away merrily!

I have a big family event coming up so I am full steam ahead over the next few weeks

The last week I have:

  • Done my roots, toned and cut my hair.

  • Bought new extensions which look fantastic

  • Tried many make up looks and found what works well for me, and upped my skills

  • Tret still going well, finest lines gone, deeper ones I think are less noticeable

  • Bought new makeup

  • Finally changed the earrings from the lobe peircings I had in March, lovely gold variety of hoops in now

  • Order new summer dresses/outfits

  • Order new jewellery/accessries for said outfits

  • Start eating better, I have eaten quick easy junk because of the hot weather

  • Gratitude everyday

Hope everyone else is doing well x

I find soups really work well for me to help me lose weight which obviously is not ideal in the hotter weather. Not really a salad fun especially when you start licking into them and some of them I’ve got nearly 600 cal a portion and I still want to chew my arm off with hunger.
any other suggestions what am I missing ?
I think my plan next week is to literally just drink water the whole time, and then if I’m still hungry after I’ve drank 3 L a day that’ll be a miracle.

psuedocream3 · 24/07/2022 06:54

I@Nothappyatwork I used to have soup alot too, in fact I have a cupboard full of random ones currently but it's a bit warm for it. I like ryvitas with a bit of cream cheese or pate with cucumber toobut I'm not sure how healthy that really is but it's low cal. Eggs are good for hunger because of the protien. Your water comment made me laugh, it's so true!

Hello , good to see this thread bumped Smile
I had a skim through some of my Princessing Tasks , I'm not one for high maintainence Style&Beauty

I need to get my hair cut , it is past my shoulders , my fringe is growing out -which I quite like as its wispy and I have a longish frame bit
I'm going grey so it does look a bit Witchy as its got a wave to it .
I did think a while back 'should I dye it , even a wash-in colour' but decided not to , which I'm glad of , not getting on the dye/roots/dye roundabout again.

I have lost a stone since early June , but its more through ill health than effort . I have pretty much killed the chocolate addiction (I hope) so that's a plus

Everything else though has gone To Blazes .
I shower , wash my hair , apply face cream and brush my teeth , that's my limit .
No body scrubs or creams . No sunbathing .
No eyebrow or eyelash serum at the moment
And the nice summer clothes I bought from White Stuff and Monsoon are hanging there . Yes I should wear hem , don't save for best . But really CBA.

Literally basic hygiene , clean underwear and a dress .

Whinge over then Wink

Ooo what I lovely thread to see bumped up. I had to go back through to see what I said in December (and also remember what username I had then)

well I’ve failed on nearly most of my plans.
I haven’t lost any weight
i have joined the gym but I’m only going twice a week not 3 times but that’s ok
screen time is as bad as ever but then I have also decided to launch an online business so at least most the screen time is productive
my capsule wardrobe is… erm…. Not very capsule.

BUT, since December:
my mental health has improved significantly! I’ve focused very much on mindfulness and meditation, and being kind to myself. My body is still 2 stone overweight and very squishy but I feel happy in myself and accepting that this is me - sure I’d love it to be more toned and slimmer but I am still deserving of all the beautiful things now. So the capsule wardrobe went out of the window and I’ve bought all the things I kept saying I’d buy once I hit my goal weight.
I am going to the gym still most weeks to swim and in September I am going to start joining in some classes like yoga and pilates. I’m still making sure I have regular hair appointments and have it coloured. My nails are still bitten and short though, I’d love extensions but just can’t afford it right now
