I would love some wide navy trousers in flannel or wool. Not thin and plastic. Nope never happens. How about you?

Great idea for a thread!
I once had the perfect knitted silk navy sweater. Deepish v, the perfect length. Warm in winter, light in summer. Dress up or down. I wore it to death. Have never found another. It came from M& S mid eighties. I’d love another one.

Higher waisted, cotton undies that don't have that 70 year old Nana vibe.

Any dress with 3/4 sleeve arms, where the arms are wide enough for swimmer-sized guns bingo wings

Guineapigbridge · 17/08/2021 08:05

I want a wedge sandal that doesn't clop clop clop like Billy goats gruff when I walk, too.

happydays2345 · 17/08/2021 08:10

Decent soft but shaped none stretchy low rise straight leg jeans

BikeRunSki · 17/08/2021 08:10

Boden Richmond trousers in charcoal grey. I have these in several colours, and have asked for grey several times!

All my tops, but 2 inches longer. All my bottoms but 2 inches higher.

Bonmonkhouse · 17/08/2021 08:12

A comfortable T shirt that doesn't make my shoulders and boobs look big.

A fitted, stretchy black knitted hoodie like the one I had from French Connection years back.

Chunkymenrock · 17/08/2021 08:12

Any dress at all that would suit a 5ft, dumpy, big stomached me who has dreadful legs. Sad

doodlejump1980 · 17/08/2021 08:12

Fancy wide leg black trousers. Just the right weight of material to be nicely floaty.

ChekhovsWorkshoppedShooter · 17/08/2021 08:21

A classic linen blazer with an inside pocket or two for my credit card and phone so I don’t have to take a handbag out with me.

Laska2Meryls · 17/08/2021 08:24

Clarks used to do a perfect pair of calf length biker boots about 10 years ago.. (so good that I bought 2 pairs and kept getting them resoled) but theyve never done anything as good since ..

Also I have looked and looked for nice navy leather boots ..

Laska2Meryls · 17/08/2021 08:28

Also a water proof rain jacket that actually does up over my boobs ( which are not that huge- an e cup ) without having to buy one that swamps me everywhere else

TableNiner · 17/08/2021 08:33

Loads of things!

Low rise corduroy trousers (don’t mind style!) in navy and chocolate
Low rise flared jeans, 29-30 inch leg
Low rise shorts
Smartish short hooded waterproof jacket
Tweed blazer that doesn’t make me look all shoulders and boobs
Narrow flat Mary Jane shoes with an ankle strap that doesn’t hit in the worst place
Narrow navy blue ankle boots

lollipoprainbow · 17/08/2021 08:39

I had a tea dress in the 90's that I wore and wore it was perfect lovely pattern, buttons etc. I often thought about that dress and how I'd love to find one similar. Browsing in a charity shop last year I found the exact same dress ! Bit small but I snapped it up anyway.

Guineapigbridge · 17/08/2021 08:40

@doodlejump1980 I have these and they're totally amazeballs
wide leg floaty pants

lollipoprainbow · 17/08/2021 08:40

@Bringmemoonshine sounds like my kind of jumper !

HeadNorth · 17/08/2021 08:44

I used to have a little black peplum cardigan in the 80s. It came from What Every Woman Wants (remember them) and I loved it, wore it to death.

I also had a kind of heavy brushed satin very heavily patterned blouse from a jumble sale. It was old, so not made for a big person, very fitted and neat. Again, I wore it until it died. Often with with my peplum cardigan, with 501s and clumpy shoes.

Two lovely irreplacable items I still mourn - and both were cheap as chips.

StCharlotte · 17/08/2021 08:46

A top to go with a black and red evening skirt that I've never worn. I've settled on a fine-knit short sleeved gold sweater which doesn't appear to exist.

BikeRunSki · 17/08/2021 08:47

@TableNiner, have you looked at Moshulu for boots. They do navy styles in many colours baby biker boots.

I’d like high rise everything!

BikeRunSki · 17/08/2021 08:47

*navy biker boots !

SocksAndTheCity · 17/08/2021 09:28

A really good plain white t-shirt that's a decent weight and washes nicely, isn't too short and fits my shape properly without the fabric bunching up under the arms. I have been looking for about thirty years.

ohyesiknowwhatyoumean · 17/08/2021 09:37

I'm still looking for the perfect long black, lightweight cardi with decent pockets. Unfussy, simple, nicely shaped at the front, no contrasting anything. I've got one that is ALMOST right, but too short. A grey one that's the perfect length but grey - and the pockets are too small.

Daisy62 · 17/08/2021 09:45

Good quality fitted cotton blouses, v neck/no collar, waist length, that do up over (but don't hang from) my boobs. I have a secondhand Cacharel one that is wearing out.

RainCloude · 17/08/2021 09:52

Wool or cashmere oversized slouchy jumper that is still slightly fitted and hangs well. Had the perfect one from Hush a couple of years ago but one wash and it was wrecked (yes I followed the instructions)!

MrsPear · 17/08/2021 09:56

Oh good shouts and I’m glad I’m not the only one after decent quality fabric wide leg trousers.

A vintage kimono - similar to Angel Strawbridge
Any dresses/skirts with decent pockets
The perfect white shirt. I have no idea how it would be perfect but I’ll just KNOW if I ever see one Grin
