I would love some wide navy trousers in flannel or wool. Not thin and plastic. Nope never happens. How about you?

Thank you so much the Monsoon one is perfect Smile

I will now try and pay it forward.

mistermagpie It's not a trendy label but I have a navy raincoat from here which looks smart and is definitely waterproof.

Long legged pyjama bottoms for tall people with pockets.

peaceanddove · 17/08/2021 20:01

I would love to find a boxy, turtle neck sweater, with 3/4 sleeves that finishes at your hips, slightly longer at the back than the front. Can be cashmere but can't have any wool in it.

OldTinHat · 17/08/2021 20:01

The perfect high waisted, boot cut, dark navy jeans.

TheSunIsStillShining · 17/08/2021 20:02

Proper length sarueru pants in perfectly light cotton or silk.
I'm small and all of these are made for giraffes.....

Other stories or Cos?

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 17/08/2021 20:19

Omg!!! What happened there!

goose1964 · 17/08/2021 20:29

Wide calf boots that don't cost a fortune

QueenPeary · 17/08/2021 20:31

Long legged pyjama bottoms for tall people with pockets.

I have 3 solutions to this:

  • Make my own PJ bottoms
  • Get men's (Sainsbury's are good if not v exciting prints)
  • Get PJs you like and add a section contrasting fabric at the bottoms of the legs to make them longer – can actually look nice and like it's a fancy feature.
(plus add pockets if necessary)
CMOTDibbler · 17/08/2021 20:47

Currently, I want a coat. Wool/cashmere, not black, with some nice detailing (contrast colour piping for instance), a beautiful lining, fitted to the waist, button fastening (not a belt, they look awful on me), and then full skirted to mid calf/ ankles. Prepared to pay serious money for one, but can find nothing I like esp as everything seems to have a belt

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 17/08/2021 20:50

CMOTDibbler, l made a coat like that once. It was like a Russian princess coat!

Laaaaa · 17/08/2021 20:55

Black thick strapped elastic vests like underwear. . Got a few in primark years ago and never seen them again

vestastilly · 17/08/2021 20:56

@noblegreenk I too had similar trousers sort of canvas jeans they were amazing!

TheSunIsStillShining · 17/08/2021 20:56

on a tangent. in Putney (sw London) there is a small textile shop that has a coupe of sewing machines and overlocks. They run a "sewing club" where for a small fee you can use their equipment.

CMOTDibbler · 17/08/2021 20:59

@ArseInTheCoOpWindow I have a now very elderly (but still looking great) black one which I love, but just dream of more colour. Alas my sewing skills are good, but not up to a structured coat

ViciousJackdaw · 17/08/2021 22:42

An extra two inches on M&S's basic cotton tops and their £17.50 round neck cardigans. I'd also like a proper wrap dress that has been designed with the lesser busted in mind - every time I try one on, there's too much fabric up top.

Thick straps as in bra strap covering or the cami top type ones? Matalan do good bra covering ones but they're pretty long
Laaaaa · 17/08/2021 23:59

@NotMyCat yeah the thick elastic ones that suck you in. Ooh Matalan I'll have a look

ItsRainingTacos · 18/08/2021 00:16

A really, really fine knit, wool/cashmere, black roll neck to tuck into skirts.

FlorenceNightshade · 18/08/2021 00:18

Haven’t rtft but came to say a bright yellow hooded duffel coat! Have the cash waiting Grin

FlorenceNightshade · 18/08/2021 00:25

@drspouse holy shit that’s almost like my dream one!!! This ones a bit mustardy but I blooming love it

tootiredtobother · 18/08/2021 00:36

pretty, well made shoes and sandals in size 9 uk. width E ifstandard uk is D
My feet are just a bit wider and a bit longer than women seem to be allowed to have !, looking at you Boden, Clarkes, Jones the Bootmaker, Russel and Bromely...etc, having big feet does not mean we want ugly cheep shoes
My feet are actually nice looking
