I saw all kinds of looks on Saturday: floaty dresses and trainers, bodycon dresses, shorts, pinafore dresses, dungarees, jumpsuits, culottes, flares. I even saw some skinny jeans

I found it all rather wonderful.

It has It's another thing I blame Lily James for.

Sports leggings with crop tops are also popular where I live. I agree that it is nice to see a mix of different styles now that the weather has warmed up!

Thing is, it's comfortable and flattering for almost everyone, plus a long floaty dress is cooler in hot weather than a lot of other things. I love wearing a long, floaty skirt and getting the breeze on my legs. I hate my legs though and I would never wear shorts!

Snap! Exactly what I wore yesterday out in the beer garden with my friends. 3 out of 6 had a long summer dress on with white trainers. Only one was flowery and mind wasn't really floaty, striped, but I did have a denim jacket with me- too hot to wear it though. It's beautiful again today and I have on light dungarees and a vest. Sun on my skin!!!

I agree! I was driving around my local tourist city and thought that there was such a wide range of looks.

It was unusual but really really nice.

It's almost as if we have been behind closed doors for so long no one knows what is fashionable so everyone is just wearing at stuff they look and feel good in.

I actually wore this outfit for the first time ever yesterday and felt pretty nice. A bit less now...

I love the fact that fashion now is such a hilarious clusterfuck. I love that some people are wearing trends from 2 years ago, some look like they’ve used their Ibiza outfits, others are in ball gowns, some still in head to toe gym. I don’t think there are any fashion rules at the moment!

I love it! Perfect for any kind of weather and it’s a kind of romantic look if you wear a flowery dress. And I have had a love affair with denim jackets since I was a young teenager.

More power to those who can skip about in public in leggings and a crop top. I'm coming out in a cold sweat just thinking about wearing such an ensemble

I think summer trends endure for longer because summer is such a short window that people think 'oh I only got a fortnight's wear out of this last year, I'm definitely wearing it again this summer'.

And getting a breeze up a maxi skirt is a delight.

It's comfortable and practical, about time women embraced fashion like that rather than clothes they can't do anything in.
