Been thinking of trying this for a while, as I've felt in need of some style inspiration.
My parcel is due for delivery on 3rd April, but I think I get to know what's in it before that: I've said that I'd like a Spring dress for upcoming pub lunches.
Excited now.

Those look so unflattering! Even on the model. They have nice parts but added Al together they're awful. The Frankenstein's monster of trousers.

Mankini · 05/06/2021 14:34

Ha ha - that's Boden for you! Take a decent design and add a minging colour / unpleasant flounce to make the item immediately mumsy and five years out of date.

ashmts · 05/06/2021 15:28

I didn't get the dress Sad apparently it's out of stock in my size. On the plus side, I really liked everything that was in the box. One of the midi skirts is a bit too small and not very flattering but that's cos I've got a lockdown tummy and it clings to it so not really the skirt's fault. I'd have exchanged for a bigger size but it's out of stock. They sent a wrap skirt with ruffly bits that I'd never have tried on in a million years but that looks amazing on me. I also got flat sandals and a pink jumper that I like and will get a lot of wear out of. The one that I'm struggling with is a black Mint Velvet black midi shirt dress. It's £119 and way more than I'd normally pay for a dress BUT it feels really nice and good quality. I'm actually tempted to keep everything (returning the clingy skirt would actually cost more cos of the discount for keeping it all) but it's just a lot of money for a dress I didn't pick myself.

Does anyone know how to view their previews again once you’ve confirmed your selection? (I forgot to screenshot to show you all BlushGrin) and also I wanted to have another look!

FourTurnings · 05/06/2021 17:09

ashmts I’d keep the dress - it sounds really nice and it doesn’t matter that you didn’t pick it yourself, that’s the idea of SF after all 😀 x

Premier12 · 05/06/2021 17:19

Reading this thread makes me feel that nobody actually really loves Stitch Fix 😅

FourTurnings · 05/06/2021 17:20

I had a box today. Am keeping three items - navy chinos from Mint Velvet (slightly boring but they fit perfectly and feel sooo comfortable), canvas sneakers by Victoria, a Spanish brand (really nice and very comfy) and a gorgeous chiffon-y shirt by Samsoe and Samsoe, which is quite a cool Scandinavian brand, by my standards at least (pale pink with black dots). Decided to send back a pale pink fluffy sweater which wasn’t quite nice enough to justify the £120 price and a blouse from Part Two which was nice, but a bit frumpy and I felt it aged me.
That was a good haul and fits with what Stitch Fix does for me really, which is add to my wardrobe - I don’t expect anything more. Smile

SkeletonSkins · 05/06/2021 18:31

I used someone’s discount code on here to order a box on a whim last week, so thank you to whoever’s link it was I used!

It arrived today and I fully expected to hate everything but actually I’m keeping the lot Blush Not sure if I was just lucky but they got it spot on for me. For context, I’m 29, 5ft 9, size 14 top due to boobs and size 12 bottoms. I selected the lowest cost bracket for most because I don’t have loads spare atm. I asked for summery casual clothes and summery dresses I could wear for work or more causally. In the preview they gave me a few bits to choose from, and I only really liked two, so I left more specific answers about what I wanted and did quite a few of those style choice things where you say if you like what you want or not. This is what they sent me, I’m keeping it all for £145. The only downside was that black shirt dress is a bit too big and it’s out of stock to exchange for a smaller size, but I love it so I’m going to keep it and see if I can get it taken in locally.

This is my referral link if anyone fancies giving it a go - I was unsure but you lose nothing by giving it a go and it’s meant that I’ve got a few extra clothes that I wouldn’t have necessarily tried on but love.

Forgot to take a photo in the little black tie top but it’s cute and seems nice quality.

That black shirt dress looks terrific!

I have ordered around 10 boxes over the past 2 years. I don't keep everything every time but have 3 or 4 times. I would say I'm a satisfied customer. I hate shopping but really enjoy this way of buying clothes and shoes.

MaryTheMiddle · 05/06/2021 18:57

Agree the black shirt dress looks stunning on you @SkeletonSkins! Maybe it's meant to fit a little oversized or maybe it looks ok bigger because of the tie belt or something. Whatever, it looks lovely. Glad you're keeping everything! I've actually reduced my budget on it now, as the higher price point wasn't a success at all.

MaryTheMiddle · 05/06/2021 19:08

@Mankini

I've added "no Boden" to my existing "no Mauvette"!
Horehound · 05/06/2021 21:54

I received my first box last week. I quite like all the items but one is slightly too small for me. I blooming threw the box away though so don't know if I can return anything.
K got a Hobbs jacket thats £159 and I'm weighing up whether to keep it. I'm pregnant and I did say on the notes that I am pregnant and that if they don't have maternity wear then to send floaty/roomier things. The jacket does have stretch and I do like it if I wasn't pregnant but should I keep it anyway? Just not sure.

Hmmm

MaryTheMiddle · 05/06/2021 22:28

Oh, I don't think I'd buy a £159 coat which I couldn't wear immediately...but then we probably don't need coats full stop at the moment, so maybe? Might be nice for the autumn if you're still pregnant then or have just had a baby. I've had a Hobbs coat before and it was really lovely, then I got too fat for it and had to give it away.

Lan2020 · 05/06/2021 23:48

My box is on its way and I couldn't wait, so I have a look at what is being sent. I said no to every item in my preview. I'll post some pics once it's arrived. However, 4 out of 5 items are their own brand. I did ask for summer dresses and for one dress (black, long sleeved polka dot) another navy top...they sent one in my last box.
They also sent this skirt. It's hideous (no offence to anyone who likes it).

Lan2020 · 05/06/2021 23:49

That should say I *got one dress

FourTurnings · 06/06/2021 08:29

Thank you to the lovely MN who used my code, whoever you are x

SallyCinnabon · 06/06/2021 08:35

I got some lovely Kurt Geiger sling back shoes in my selection but have some similar so didn’t choose them.

I also got some straight leg jeans which I asked for. Looking forward to trying them in 😀

Baileystruffle · 07/06/2021 11:58

Skeletonskins those all look fab on you! Thats a really great first box. I should be getting my preview for my 3rd box anytime soon so fingers crossed there are some nice things on it.

Mankini · 07/06/2021 13:45

I got the same tie front top as Skeletonskins, interestingly - despite being 20 years older.

On a 27 year old it would look cute, but really not so much on a 47 year old (plus I'd told them to avoid sending me anything black Hmm )

Goshitstricky · 07/06/2021 14:49

Mine came today!

It's not bad tbh, there was 2 casual summer dresses, one that I neither love or hate but I don't think I'll keep it, the other one though I love!

One jumpsuit which again I love but I'm not sure how confident I am with the wrap top element, my boobs are huge so I need to see it on with a few other things before I decide.

Trousers that are huge on me and too long but again if they'd fitted nicely I would have kept them.

And some sandals which I like but I have a pair similar so I won't keep.

Nothing horrible or frumpy though (I'm 34 and told the truth about my age) there's deffo a green/khaki scheme going on so I will ask for more colour next time.

I'm waiting for a delivery of a full length mirror to really see everything.

Sizing is an issue, I cold have done with most things a size smaller but in my head I'm 2-3 times bigger than I am in RL so that's not their fault!

Goshitstricky · 07/06/2021 14:51

I also struggle with the style shuffle/spin thing because a lot of the time I like one element of what they're showing me no it cut/colour/patterns or the top/bottom but I don't like something else about it, it would help if they put the option to add notes to the shuffle.

Baileystruffle · 07/06/2021 16:18

With regard to style shuffle, on individual items I put yes if I can see myself wearing it, or possibly choosing it on the preview if I had a need for that type of item. So if for example a top is a perfect cut and pattern but is a colour I'd never wear, I put no.

Its harder on the outfit ones as its very rare I'd pick the whole outfit! So on those I put yes if there's more yes's than nos- or if there's 1 item on there that I absolutely love I put yes even if the others are nos, just so they don't think I don't like that item!

Baileystruffle · 07/06/2021 16:43

Right my preview is now up.

gingerbiscuit19 · 07/06/2021 17:22

I've had two boxes, and I honestly feel like they've got my so right! I'd have kept everything if I could afford to!!

Lovely joules chinos which I'd never have bought myself but great for working from home.

My code if anyone is kind enough to use it: www.stitchfix.co.uk/invite/frkvf337mp?sod=i&som=c
