Been thinking of trying this for a while, as I've felt in need of some style inspiration.
My parcel is due for delivery on 3rd April, but I think I get to know what's in it before that: I've said that I'd like a Spring dress for upcoming pub lunches.
Excited now.

@Loopy9 yes I did :)

A blue/black v neck tshirt from Soaked - £24.99 - really lovely soft material, felt great on, was flattering. Am considering keeping, however I kept a black top from my stitchfix box and I didn't sign up to keep buying black tops!

Long black parka from Vila - £55 - a size too big, ok for what it was but not flattering on and not me at all.

Light blue skinny ankle jeans from Only - £38. I have never found jeans that I feel comfortable in or suit my small waist but big hips/bum. The denim material was soft and my legs looked good in them however there is no way I could close the zip and button!! Sizing was all wrong and I will remeasure myself tomorrow because if they fit I would have liked to keep them.

Light green patterned pleated maxi skirt from L'olive Verte - £46.90. Again gorgeous material, lovely pattern and so soft. But made my big bum look really big and I really can't afford it. I do however love maxi skirts and would happily wear them all the time, but everyone tells me they're frumpy :(

Light brown ribbed and striped cropped top from Pisces - £20. This was hideous. DD12 flung it across the room I'm disgust. Will feedback to them, no cropped tops please.

I'm sending it all back. However, I will order another box as the quality was really nice and do think they'll get it more right next time. I did actually enjoy getting to try on new clothes in comfort of my own house, opening the box for a surprise, and sharing some time with DD critiquing them all lol. So far... 1 box stitch fix, kept 2 items. 1 Lookiero, not keeping any items.

Krabbie · 29/04/2021 23:53

I keep thinking about this, but was unsure if it would be suitable for my size, I'm 14 to 16. Also expect most clothes will be expensive. Can anyone tell me how expensive the items tend to be?

Krabbie · 29/04/2021 23:55

I should have read the whole thread! Just seen some of you have listed prices Blush

bluebeck · 30/04/2021 11:31

@Krabbie you set your own price level. I am on the cheapest and my boxes are usually about £130 - £150 for 5 items.

I absolutely love it and really get excited when the box arrives.

lockdownalli · 30/04/2021 11:33

Ooh I got a £25 discount code if anyone wants it - it's a 48 hour thing apparently

Have attached photo of my latest haul - have done my own post but then thought the SF regulars might want to see what's coming out if you like blue Grin They still can't send me the necklace I keep asking for though Sad

This is my Stitchfix box - not tried on yet... I'm also aware that the Boden top is available with 20% at the moment.

It's better than my first hideous box, but I'm sceptical about the quality of their own brand stuff.

I've also realised that although the 'style shuffle' is fun abs addictive, I actively dislike about 80% of it! Far too horribly 80s for me, nothing like the stuff that pops up on the FB ads!

Dellabob123 · 30/04/2021 15:08

Second box arriving tomorrow - I’m excited and nervous at the same time.

lockdownalli · 30/04/2021 16:52

@sesquipedalia they will refund you the difference if the Boden top is on sale I think? I hope it all looks good on. I really loved the Boden stuff I got a while back in my box.

@Dellabob123 I hope you get a good one. If not, it's free returns so......

Good luck.

There is no point paying full price for anything from Boden as there's almost always a discount code somewhere!
Loopy9 · 01/05/2021 11:12

@bonfireheart I am still laughing at your crop top!!

I’ve had to specifically say, no more Navy! Whilst I love navy I am beginning to find it’s all I wear and I need some other colours!

@Dellabob123 how was your box? Anything good?

Dellabob123 · 01/05/2021 13:42

It must be navy week for the stylists.

I can not begin to tell you how hideous and Un- catered this box is.

I requested dresses and maxis to wear on the school run to wear with my supergas. I ended up with a Hideous frill dress, mauvette jumper and a flared skirt.

I specifically said in preview no jeans and not only did they send jeans, then sent bootcut. My worst fit ever. Even though all the daily style shuffles I choose are specifically never ever bootcut. Or frills or flared knee length skirts.

The jumper is mauvette - ugh, if they send me this brand again I will scream. It’s hideous.

And a wierd leather jacket that looks so cheap and nasty.

So so disappointed after my first amazing box.

Totally gutted. I can’t even bring myself to try them on.

lockdownalli · 01/05/2021 14:00

Go on! Try it on! It might look better on

Did you not do the style preview? I always do that now so I usually have some idea of a couple of things arriving that I know look like my style.

Dellabob123 · 01/05/2021 14:13

Maybe later when I’m not so disappointed!

I did the preview, declined everything and specifically wrote what I would like.
Just didnt work this time. I’ll do one more box and that’s it I think.

BlytheofWindyWillows · 01/05/2021 16:13

I had my first box today. Keeping 3 of the items. All were my style but 2 didn't fit well. A definate navy vibe Grin If anyone wants to give it a try here is my code, it's £25 credit for us both https://www.stitchfix.co.uk/invite/dpg5bqyz25?pbid=10459083&sod=i&som=c

Loopy9 · 01/05/2021 16:53

@Dellabob123 can’t believe how off the mark they were with your box, I wonder if sometimes it’s the luck of the stylist. I think you can request the same or a different stylist (worth requesting a new one). I said no to skinny jeans only for them to arrive (grr).
My last stylist said I should add my Pinterest link on my profile errr it was!! Hmm

FourTurnings · 01/05/2021 17:45

People really do seem to have very different experiences with Stitchfix. I’ve had three boxes and I’ve kept 2-3 items each time - I’ve loved them. For others it hasn’t worked out at all...

Dellabob123 · 01/05/2021 18:52

@Loopy9 I know - it really was way off. I requested the same stylist for this box due to the great first box which is also why it’s so disappointing.

I’ve asked for a different stylist for the next one- hopefully they’ll listen👍

Glad you had a lovely box @BlytheofWindyWillows - it’s lovely when then get it right Smile

Dellabob123 · 05/05/2021 09:08

Well...I’ve just had my preview with the new stylist and it’s much better. Definitely listened! I chose 2 pieces because I already have trainers and denim jacket so will be interesting to see the haul. This feels a bit better especially telling them not to send me mauvette stuff!!

Rhythmisadancer · 05/05/2021 14:21

Just realised I'm on my SEVENTH fix! I've had some lovely things, and even if I like the preview I try to reject enough so that I get a few surprises. Backfired last time which was the only time I've sent everything back, but this time I'm keeping it all: Liverpool LA green utility pants (expensive at £100 but actually so soft and flattering I think I'll wear them all summer), fab straight cropped jeans, cute peasant blouse and really nice metallic detail wedges. There's a weird bat wing breton top in there, but it's less than the 20% discount for keeping everything so it's staying . Several of my absolute favourite things in my wardrobe at the mo have come from Stitch Fix, so it's worth rolling the dice for me.

Triffid1 · 05/05/2021 14:32

Did you not do the style preview? I always do that now so I usually have some idea of a couple of things arriving that I know look like my style.

Definitely this. My all time favourite two items from Stitchfix were both items I pulled out of the box ant thought, "No way!"

Mine is coming next week and I'm really looking forward to it. I delayed it because I thought I had enough clothes but actually, somehow, I don't! Grin. Possibly due to weather change. I'm not sure.

Oh, and am wearing Stitchfix trousers and top right now from two different boxes.... Although the top is more opportunistic than something I love. It came, it looked quite good, it fitted and it filled a hole in that it's a long sleeved top that is quite flexible for both casual and smart wear. For me, that's true of quite a lot of what I get from Stitchfix - it's not extra designer clothes or whatever but rather items that I need and that work and that fit and are in the right budget. So I guess my point is that I think how much you like it will depend massively on what you're using it for.

Triffid1 · 05/05/2021 14:34

On the style shuffle - do you pick things you love but that you think wouldn't suit you? I've had a few options today that I think are great, but I'd never in a million years pick up on the assumption that they'd look awful.

Rhythmisadancer · 05/05/2021 14:38

I know people keep posting them, but sometimes they're for £15 and they don't last forever, so here's one that's £25 from today

www.stitchfix.co.uk/invite/j37mnk4bt8?pbid=10500224&sod=w&som=c

Rhythmisadancer · 05/05/2021 14:41

The style shuffle is the weirdest thing - sometimes it makes me have a good long existential gaze into my soul: "But IS this my style?" and it shows me a fuck of a lot of waterfall cardies, which I don't like at all!

EffYouSeeKaye · 05/05/2021 14:54

www.stitchfix.co.uk/invite/f2jfs5tjcv?sod=i&som=c

I’ve just received my third fix. The one definite keeper is a pink floral blouse style wrap top which is completely gorgeous BUT I almost rejected it from the preview photo! I completely agree with other posters who have found it’s really good to wait and try on with some items. That really is most of the point of this for me - to try things I wouldn’t usually pick up either in store or online.

There’s another sleeveless top I might keep and a lovely denim blue (not denim fabric though) summer dress I might well keep too. I’m exchanging a pair of pink denim shorts as they are a bit big but if the smaller size fits I’ll keep them.

So, overall another good fix. Really loving the changing room in my own home. My code is above, help yourselves!

BigusBumus · 05/05/2021 15:11

I've had 3 Stitchfixes so far and am beginning to lose the plot a bit.

I don't want or need any jeans, which I have said many times. (I always buy the same brand jeans as they fit me). I want tops and day dresses. I got a lovely black Mint Velvet shirt dress last month, but everything else is a bit boring tbh. Even after giving feedback on every item, i'm still getting offered and sent jeans, and hideous acrylic jumpers in colours like dog-shit-brown and lilac. I've told them I want shirt dresses to wear with trainers, bits of leopard print, black tunic tops, perhaps a floaty Kimono type jacket, wedge sandals, No Skirts, No Jeans. I've ended up keeping things I just know I won't wear, like a white longline cardigan that looks like a Lab Coat from Mint Velvet). Will try for one more month.
