I ahev just moved and met the only neighbour i think who isn't about 100!She is about 35 boden-y with kids and seemsnice but we were chatting about annie lennox as she had a paper with her picture on it and she was saying how it is harder for women who are attractive to accept aging and she was dreading it as she had spent her life getting what she wanted because of her looks!I was speechless for once and said little back but i would never say that although I am not what I was at 42 I was ok in my youth but it just shocked me So come on do you think you're gorge and has it helped or hindered you?

I am overwieght but still consider myslef to be reasonably attractive but think this is mainly to do with being unusual looking

This 'my sister was the pretty one' is alien to me (I have no sisters) It must be awful to be compared to a sibling because of looks.

filthymindedvixen · 17/09/2007 18:15

My sister was the pretty one. I, alas, am not clever either...

DrNortherner · 17/09/2007 18:23

Well having met yuo FMV I can not beleive you were the ugly one. You are very pretty. And slim. And funny. And you grow your own vegetables.

Shall I go on?

lisad123 · 17/09/2007 18:23

funny enough, i have 2 sisters and each of us want the others good parts . I want one sisters good clear skin and height and i want to steal the other ones skinny frame. Not sure what they want to steal from me??

filthymindedvixen · 17/09/2007 18:24

Thank you DrNortherner. I heart you...

filthymindedvixen · 17/09/2007 18:25

Shoukld i add my sister now looks like Princess Fiona - in Shrek mode...

oxocube · 17/09/2007 18:25

I'm bloody lovely after my third glass of wine. Claudia Schiffer eat your heart out!

XcupcakemummyX · 17/09/2007 18:41

not at all

but if some one gives me a compliment

i will always say thank you

Monkeytrousers · 17/09/2007 18:44

ou need to be gorg and clever to "get what you want" - it isn't easy so good for her!

burstingbug · 17/09/2007 18:45

No, I don't like the way I look, I don't like me and I find it really hard to accept compliments. I have no confidence or self esteem. I am a paranoid & anxious person too.
But I know I have ishoos with myself

norkmaiden · 17/09/2007 18:57

Oh burstingbug I could have written exactly that post! Sorry you feel like that, but sympathies from me - low self-esteem really sucks.

burstingbug · 17/09/2007 19:03

How's your self esteem now Nork?

norkmaiden · 17/09/2007 19:12

pretty low - I meant I could have written your post just about any day of the week, not in some distant low point in the past. Our own worst enemies maybe?!

norkmaiden · 17/09/2007 19:16

I feel so awkward and like I always say the wrong thing for eg. Others sometimes find me cold, but I'm just shy and awkward (someone will bash me for that probably - I know some people hate that and will just say 'get over yourself'. It's just not that simple, though, I wish it was).

Arrgh, shouldn't be posting on this thread!!

burstingbug · 17/09/2007 19:19

Sorry Nork {hugs} (if you 'do' them)
feel free to add me to msn, @hotmail . com burstingbug

norkmaiden · 17/09/2007 19:39

Cheers BB, don't mind a hug at all! But not on msn (that'd just be another sink for my time...)

Don't feel the need to wear a paper bag over my head and that's good enough for me

GodzillasBumcheek · 17/09/2007 20:08

No, i know i'm not. And i'm not being modest!
