Lots of people seem to have the Debenham's calendar. Just starting a thread so we can discuss.

I can't wait Grin

Today’s is tiny however this is the best topcoat I’ve ever used, I regularly get 4 or 5 days out of normal nail varnish before it chips. I’ll keep this as for holidays.

whyamidoingthis · 17/12/2019 11:10

That's good to know @TattiePants. Maybe I won't look for a small child after all.

I'll give it a try so too. I hardly ever do my own nails because they chip after a day, but the one and only Polish that I ever get 4-7 days is a ciate one that I got in last year's Debenhams advent calendar Xmas Smile

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 18/12/2019 08:18

I love Elemis Xmas Grin

whyamidoingthis · 18/12/2019 09:05

Yes me too. Another one for the shower though, unless I figure out how to use wash off cleansers without soaking myself. I'll give it a go as others seem to be able to do it.

I use a flannel then wash that out with soap so it doesn't go stiff 😂

whyamidoingthis · 18/12/2019 18:46

My new year's resolution - learn how to use wash off cleansers like an adult. Want to join me @AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet?

OP posts:
AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 18/12/2019 19:16

LOL - it really cannot be that hard 😂 We will master it 🤞
I'm thinking a hair band, a towel and a sponge are the way forward Xmas Smile

whyamidoingthis · 18/12/2019 19:17

Good plan. I'll ask for them from Santy.

Touch In Sol Pretty Filter Waterful Glow Cream

I had to google it. It's a Korean moisturiser. It has good reviews on Amazon. Seems to be suitable for normal to dry skin, which is fine for me.

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 19/12/2019 09:25

😂 at Santy.... Are you in Cork? Xmas Wink

Oh that's good. I thought it was one of those glow highlighter creams (?) that the young ones wear Xmas Wink
A moisturiser is always nice Xmas Smile I'm hearing great things about Korean skincare

whyamidoingthis · 19/12/2019 09:47

Are you in Cork? - no. Just old Grin

Yeah. I thought it was a tanning thing too. I'm glad it's not.

The Korean seems to be good quality and good value.

The Korean stuff, not The Korean.

I assumed it was some kind of fake tan Confused

I'm always happy to try a new moisturiser, but 5ml is a bit stingy isn't it?

whyamidoingthis · 20/12/2019 09:03

Today is a lip oil. I have never heard of a lip oil. I assume it's some sort of moisturiser. Sounds interesting.

whyamidoingthis · 20/12/2019 09:05

@YouWereRight - but 5ml is a bit stingy isn't it?

Yeah, it is. It's really only a couple of days use.

OP posts:
AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 20/12/2019 09:22

Yes, happy to try the lip oil Xmas Smile

whyamidoingthis · 20/12/2019 10:33

I'm working from home today (no makeup on) so decided to give it a go. It's a little sticky but feels nice. I don't think it would work under a lipstick though. Maybe something to use as part of a night time routine.

I’ve been using the lip oil for the last month and it’s lovely - will definitely buy again. I usually put it on while I’m getting ready then blot the top layer off before I put lipstick on.

whyamidoingthis · 20/12/2019 12:23

I usually put it on while I’m getting ready then blot the top layer off before I put lipstick on.

I put my make-up on at work (every 5 minutes earlier I leave saves me at least 10-15 minutes stuck in traffic so breakfast and make-up at the desk) so I could just put it on before I leave the house.

YouWereRight · 20/12/2019 20:34

I'm pleased with the lip oil today, I expected it to be liquid, rather than goopy.

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 21/12/2019 09:14

The body cream smells divine, and what a great size too Xmas Smile

TattiePants · 21/12/2019 09:35

I love Rituals, looking forward to using this.

whyamidoingthis · 21/12/2019 09:36

Delighted with this today. I love Rituals and, as already mentioned, a great size.

L'Occitane shower gel today. I like it but it is tiny.
