Lots of people seem to have the Debenham's calendar. Just starting a thread so we can discuss.

I can't wait Grin

And today's is a mascara Xmas Smile

I use this mascara already so very handy to have a spare one.

I suspect my dd will have her hand out for this one. She likes Benefit. I think I'll hold on to it though 😁

I'm very happy with today's, it's the usual mascara I use, so always nice to have a spare.

I slapped a bit of yesterday's body lotion on yesterday, and do said I smelt like smoke. I have a cold so couldn't smell it, but I don't want to smell like I smoke 20 a day!

@YouWereRight - that's not good. I haven't opened the lotion yet. I'll give it a sniff this evening.

I just used the body lotion after my bath. Skin is lovely and soft, but the scent is very masculine

Finally got to try the lotion. It's caked fireside, so that probably explains the smoke @YouWereRight's dh could smell. I wouldn't describe it as smokey though. Agree with @AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet that it is quite masculine smelling. I like it though.

Called fireside, not caked fireside

Ooh giftcard - got a full size Kat Von D mascara which we got on day 1 in a giftset for £13. I love this calendar!!

I'm a bit meh about a €5 gift card. I'd prefer a product (I'm obviously not so good at delayed gratification Xmas Wink).

I assume you all got a £5 one?

Yes, same @whyamidoingthis
Although I knew it was going to be in it, so I'm glad it's out of the way now! Are you in Ireland too? Xmas Smile

Can it be spent online? There's really nothing I need or want at the moment. Maybe I'll keep it for buying next year's advent calendar!

Life has been so busy, I've been rubbish at catching up with the advent calendar and this thread. I'm just reading it all now.

I'm looking forward to trying the watermelon primer and the facemasks. I already use Filorga - it's fab so I'm very happy with that. I'm not as keen on the Benefit mascara. I've had it in the past and find it quite cloggy. I'm currently using one recommended by Nigella in the Sunday Times and it's lovely and light.

No idea what to spend the £5 on ...

@AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet - yes, Ireland too.

I assume you can use it online.

Come on. You can't leave us hanging. What brand/type?

Sorry why I couldn't remember its name - because it's ridiculous Grin It's Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara Mascara It looks like something a teen girl would use but I have very sensitive eyes and it doesn't irritate them, doesn't clog, and feels very light to wear.

whyamidoingthis · 13/12/2019 13:51

That is a brilliant name Grin. But I would never buy it unless it came with a recommendation.

Nigella raved about it in her column and I was feeling very grumpy with the mascaras I had. I've always got at least three in my make-up bag that I carry with me, but they always seemed to smudge or make my eyes itch so I figured it was worth a try but it did lie in my drawer for months before I opened it because I was so suspicious of everything about it - its name, its cheap price and its design Grin

There’s a code for free standard delivery for today only if anyone wants to spend their gift card today. Code is SH7M. I bought gloves!

A lip pencil today. Colour is lovely. I'm not sure why you need a brush with it (there is a brush built into the pencil at the opposite end)

Ah this one was something I’d looked forward to but the colour I got was dreadful for my skin tone so it went straight in the regift pile as my mum will love it

So happy with the shampoo. I haven't tried it, but have heard great things. Good size too Xmas Smile

Did you also get anti-dandruff shampoo? I've used Phillip Kingsley stuff to protect hair when using heat and found it great. I'd never normally buy shampoo that expensive so I'm looking forward to using it. I'm sure the anti-dandruff bit won't matter and it's fine for any hair.
