Starting a thread to discuss the contents as we hit December.

Who is getting this one this year?

This was my very first beauty calendar last year and it’s definitely got me addicted. I loved it!

This year you can order the calendar from 31st October. Price is £40 when you spend £25 at M&S. Contents are worth over £300.

The pur powder smells amazing. But I’ve been putting it on and I can’t see it? What am I doing wrong? I’m putting it on top of foundation

I didn't get a brush... think I'd better check I've opened all the boxes before I recycle it!
I like the shampoo best, and the tube of luminous face stuff is nice too.

DobbyTheHouseElk yes, the Pur powder is quite subtle but it does catch the light I think and gives a nice sparkle. I've put it over light foundation, on my cheekbones with a big blusher brush.

The highlighter is definitely visible in certain lights. I think I overdid it yesterday- was going for subtle, but the lighting in my bedroom was awful. Caught myself whilst out during the day and it would've been more appropriate for an evening do! Fun though.

I haven’t tried the powder but I’m excited to now!

Oh, it’s been dark here. I used it as eyeshadow so lucky I didn’t see anyone I knew!

I've just tried the REN night cream and I think it smells really weird. I can't quite work out what it reminds me of but I definitely don't like the smell. I shall persevere though and see if I notice any improvement,
Re. The highlighter..my 14 year old niece noticed I was wearing it on Christmas Day and complimented me - I was quite pleased as she knows a lot more about make up than her ageing aunt

Just to say I did NOT like the nail polish colour. I wore it on my toes to show willing but I don’t really like metallic colours and would have much preferred a glitter or glossy finish. I will use most of what I got though.

I will post a pic of the things I haven’t opened (this year and last year) in case anyone wants to swap. Sorry I did say I’d do that days ago but I have been away and didn’t have chance before I went. Got back last night!

Loved the calendar!

Best product for me was the Aveda hair stuff.

Worst products were the black eyeliner, the Pur highlighter powder and the Stila lip colour. Must skip off to the swaps thread, if it's still going.

Very late to post here I know, but my favourite 2 things are the hair products.

I have very thin, shiny hair with a bit of bounce and generally have to wash my hair every day as it gets oily. I loved the Aveda but even better the hair balm reduces my shine but makes my hair much more full of volume and also weirdly means I don't need to wash it every day. It easily lasts 2 days now which is an absolute first for me. Has anyone else found the same?

My friend just complimented me how nice that peach parfume smells and how it really suits me. I think I will get more of that stuff :)

I put glitter over mine and really liked it . It broke up the metallic a bit

I like the peach perfume @Banksu19 I agreed a swap with someone on here to get the peach for the black tulip that I didn’t like.

@Trumpton It looks nice with glitter on it. Maybe I will try that 😃
