Starting a thread to discuss the contents as we hit December.

Who is getting this one this year?

This was my very first beauty calendar last year and it’s definitely got me addicted. I loved it!

This year you can order the calendar from 31st October. Price is £40 when you spend £25 at M&S. Contents are worth over £300.

Please don’t discuss the contents ahead of time on here as most people don’t want to know (or as in my case, read then forget!).

@AndAnon - I've got a Beso that is totally the wrong colour for me. V happy to put it in the post to you.

How do you all know which shade lipstick you have? I'm guessing mine is either Dolce or Baci (because it isn't a bright red, or a caramel colour), but I can't find a shade Dolce anywhere (only Dolce Vita), and Baci looks virtually the same as Dolce Vita. Mine's a blue-ish pale mauve.

@CointreauVersial think it's on a sticker on the base of the tube?

I got the skin coloured lip thing. It felt nice going on, liked the texture and thought colour was ok, excitedly showed my husband who said it looked strange and to go look in the mirror to see what I thought

Yep. Dreadful it shows up every single lip line..looks horrific.
Doubt it would look better in a different colour if it does that anyway. Look at your lips in a mirror in good light.

I got the Debenhams calendar too and think I prefer that one although the m and s one is still fine. Maybe a little too many creams though.

I tried the red lip stuff last night and was surprised at how nice it looked. Was only at home watching tv but hope to be brave enough to wear it to meet friends at the pub tonight.

Am pleased with today's although I've not used anything like this before. Shall try it later.

Pleased with today’s as I like the illuminating/glow type primers. I often use them alone with a touch of concealer where needed.

I love today's. I got the Dolce lip thing which looks horrid on the back of my hand. The texture is powdery and reminds me of when I used to try and make my own lipsticks in the eighties from eyeshadow mixed with vaseline

Loving the illuminati primer. The one I’ve been using is almost run out.

Will the illuminating primer work under a powder foundation?

Very pleased with this too. I loved the hydrating primer in the blue tube from the same range when we got it the other year, and have gone on to buy it full size. Have always wondered when in the shop about trying one of the others so this is the best way!

Fairly happy with today’s, though the EH cream is a primer too.

Thought we might get an eyeshadow somewhere - the eyeshadow brush is seeming a bit random now.

I’d like an eyeshadow too - or blush but I know that’s harder to get a universal shade!

Finally tried the lipstick - beso.
I could have got a part in "Memoirs of a Geisha" so took it off straight away

Ha! I’ve just tried the Dolce. Not my usual colour (normally go for warm pinks) but I quite like it and my lips look ok so far...

If anyone has a the red Stila lipstick and wants to swap for something else please let me know.

I got Caramelo and it makes me look like a corpse! I usually wear reds and rich pinks.

My primer has a big slash mark in it :( so can't use it and I'm not near an m and s store :(

Thanks @AndAnon I just googled Petra by Pixi and I saw the dark nude colour. Not sure the one you linked is for me but I’d consider swapping the lippie for something else

@TheWitchwithNoName Yes I would have thought so. I use powder and mineral foundations and find primer helps. Whether the illuminating effects will be visible under any foundation remains to be seen...

Today’s is ok. I’ll try it. I tend to like Laura Geller moisturising primer for a bit more (you guessed it!) moisture or I use Benefit Porefessional in my t zone to mattify so this would have to do something for my skin for me to want to use it and I double the illuminating effects show up once you put foundation on

You could mix some into your foundation if you wear liquid foundation

I don't remember getting the lip thing last year. can someone post a photo of it to jog my memory?

I love the colour of the red lipstick but my God it's soooo drying! Anyone got any tips on how to wear and not turn your lips into paper?

This is last year’s. Looks like there was a lipgloss but I don’t remember it

I really think they should change it up for next year as it’s quite similar but then not sure how many more brands they have

There was a shimmery gold/peach lipgloss last year.

Oh yes I use that lipgloss! Lol didn't remember it was from the calendar!

I think there's just too many creams in it...I want more makeup!

Sas about today's ..will they give a replacement do you think?
