Hello! This is week four of the SIXTH boot camp of 2007 everyone is welcome.

The rules (anyone can join):

This is about feeling better about yourself...not necessarily a diet per se etc etc

  • Sunscreen at all times
  • No or little booze. Wine at the weekend is allowed if you want it
  • Walking is important, a small amount every day if possible. 30 mins if you can
  • Lots of water, aim for 2 litres a day
  • Apply body cream as often as possible
  • Use hand cream
  • Go to bed early, by 10.30pm if pos
  • Eat healthily
  • Be happy

The idea is that at the end of six weeks we all feel happier, healthier and glow with the good food, sleep, exercise, water and lack of sun

Anyone who feels like it, post how you've been feeling since doing this and why you want to keep doing it. Add what you want to achieve at the end of it too if you want to.

Cheers m'dears.

How is your mum doing marina? Hope she is continuing to improve. x

WideWebWitch · 05/08/2007 10:44

I dreamt about mumsnet last night, I was at a huge meet up and everyone was gorgeous and glam!

Tortoishell, oh how awful, poor ds.

Marina, sorry the weather wasn't great, I'd have loved it!

Tigermoth, I have just been adding local listings to Dartmouth and Kingsbridge and my sister stayed in both places last week - it made me slightly wistful. I don't know if you remember our rented house being sold in 2002, we were upset at the time but I looked up the price and we could easily afford it now. I know it's no good since we need the salaries in the SE but still, I have some happy memories of Devon despite not really wanting to go back.

Right, well, I have been terrible as I had the week off so back to work and boot camp proper tomorrow, I will start a brand new shiny thread. And I will be much, much better as I climb back on that wagon

Batters, hello, I've been wondering how you are too, you were in my dream!

Winnie, tell us about the date!

And sorry, I was AWOL as I was so bad it wasn't true.

Are we going to try and make a day to meet up sometime then www, after the last date collapsed? Would love to meet everyone!

Marina · 05/08/2007 15:26

have just finally scrolled back through a fortnight's boot camp carryings on to find out about TM's ds1 and batters' dp - so sorry to hear this, how distressing for both of them and you too.
Am allegedly "tidying up" pending visit by MIL, bridezilla and fiance (dd is four today!), so will have to keep this brief yet again.
Really am hoping winnie's date went well and swedishmum's dilemma re her elderly dad and his broken-hearted friend has resolved itself.
Hope ds1 is OK too TS - sounds like doctors are not taking any chances this summer. Dh still has a scar to prod mournfully but is definitely otherwise as well as can be expected.
Glorious day for the fountains batters, enjoy - and have a lovely weekend all XXX

Marina · 05/08/2007 15:27

ooh and yes to an Autumn meet-up!

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 05/08/2007 15:52

t/shell - I'm so sorry you witnessed that, hope DCs are still OK. We saw a motorcyclist get killed last week but the DCs seem OK about it - I imagine I had an easier time explaining a road accident than you've had with suicide though.

Good to see everyone one back & thread so busy

tortoiseSHELL · 05/08/2007 16:07

He seems ok today D/Norks - we've steered off why she might have jumped in, and talked more about the police men coming to help her.

Lol@your dh marina - dh is fine too - men eh!!!

tortoiseSHELL · 05/08/2007 16:15

So is Monday a brand new 6 week one, or are we into a new one already? Lost track a bit I think!

WideWebWitch · 05/08/2007 16:16

Brand new shiny clean slate tomorrow is best I think.

Fantastic. Just what I need!

motherinferior · 05/08/2007 19:15

I would like it on record, please, that my entire alcohol consumption this weekend has only been two glasses of fizz. Given last weekend

Although I have eaten a lot, and haven't gone swimming for a week on account of being quite ill earlier this week.

motherinferior · 05/08/2007 19:21

[Actually ill, I mean, not just comatose with alcohol poisoning. Huddled under duvet with only the cat for company. Would have been rather divine if I hadn't been ill, IYSWIm.]

winnie · 05/08/2007 19:54

WWW, Batters, TS, MI & Marina. Lovely to see you all back.

Marina, glad you enjoyed the holiday & Shell I am so sorry that you had to deal with such a traumatic ending to your break

Lol at Duchess tapping fingers. The date went rather well (Although I so nearly cancelled) One minute it was eight o'clock & the next it was midnight ... and we are meeting again this week

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 05/08/2007 20:18

That does sound successful Winnie! I'm very pleased for you. So what are you wearing to the next date...!

MI - hello and glad you're feeling better.

I'm now off for an evening run (it's that or the ironing)!

WideWebWitch · 05/08/2007 20:31

Oh fab Winnie! So, did you shag him? (I'm JOKING, WWW lowers the tone)

Right, new thread coming up!
